As the only authorized service provider this side of Tacoma, I had no choice but to take my computer to Micro. Did it bother me that it took 3 weeks for my computer to be repaired? Not really. The technicians at Micro did a fine job replacing my motherboard and power button board seeing as how it was under warranty, I figured my repair would fall to the bottom of the queue. What really has me worked up is the wan, 100 lb, World of Warcraft-loving wanker working the front desk who placed my repair request. Some excerpts from our conversation: Micro employee: «This couldn’t possibly still be under warranty.» Me: «Actually, it’s 2 ½ years old and I bought the 4 year extended warranty.» Micro: «Oh, I thought it was MUCH older than that.» *Granted, Henry, my tablet has been through hell — packed and unpacked for class, libraries, coffeeshops everyday for almost 3 years, but screw you! Me: «So, what happens now? Will someone call me to tell me what the problem is?» Micro: «We’re in the business of fixing computers, not updating customers on the status of their repair. You’ll hear from us when it’s ready.» Thank you Micro Computer Systems for getting my computer to turn on! If you get a chance, smack the guy at the front desk around for being such a giant jackass.
