The store manager is trying to cut costs by reducing quantities. The number of ravioli pieces have gone down by half, the amount of pasta has gone down by half and the portions of the bib n blue salad have shrunk in half. It the store manager continues to cut corners the customers will disappear too. Some of the other restaurants in the block have much better portions. The waitress at the restaurant was busy the whole time chatting with her friends and didn’t bother to serve plates or bother to check if the dine in guests needed anything like drink refills.

Better to just avoid this place. The food is okay but not a lot of value in terms of quality or portion size. The biggest disappointment was the service. They had a Valentine’s Day weekend special but told us they ran out of half the appetizers. It happens but when we ordered deserts they ran out of half of those. Three people at our table ordered lemon cakes and they all fell over. Service was just all around bad, they took our orders about half an hour after they brought our drinks. After we ate it took almost an hour to bring our checks. I don’t really blame our sever Sydney she was a nice girl but clearly overwhelmed and her service and attitude got progressively worse because of it. This place isn’t as terrible as some make it out to be but you can do a lot better, don’t settle.

2−4−16 Cristy was our AWESOME, waitress! Iced tea was fresh. The complimentary bread and olive oil– vignette was very good as well. I had lazzonia and my partner had pasta with meatballs, with pepperoni pizza as an appetizer. We were both quite pleased. We will be back!

Came here the other day for the third attempt at this place. My husband ordered the steak and I had spaghetti and meatballs. My husband said the steak was very fatty and chewy and the accompanying potatoes were bland. The spaghetti and meatballs was sub par, spaghetti noddles were fine but the sauce was bland and the meatballs resembled a mixture of IKEA and chef boyarde. Not what I expected out of a meal that cost over $ 50.

Probably waited a good 15 min for the waitress to come. We came around 8pm and there weren’t a lot of customers… I had a steak and my gf had fettucini alfredo. Steak was standard medium not as flavorful and not as juicy and a bit expensive for the lacking flavor. Fettucini with shrimp was surprisingly good. It was worth the money too. Summary: Good pasta. Good atmosphere. Friendly but slow service. Price is just right for the pasta but the steak, i think not.

Good happy hour prices. Fresh bread on the table with good dipping oil and balsamic. Poor rating comes from the fact that their mixed drinks were suuuuuper weak. Maybe a measured shot in my $ 8 martini; maybe. $ 4 to add 4 shrimp to my Cesar salad? Bad deal. The calamari appetizer was good. The salad was good, just expensive to had shrimp. This place is what you would expect for a mall restaurant. Nice staff though.

So family of 5 stopped here today the 27th of December. We got seated immediately and was greeted by our server. It was nice the menu was well rounded the drinks came quick and stayed refilled. We sat in the corner booth and had a serious KNAT problem so told the waitress with in minutes we were being moved and taken care of. I had the pork fig Marsala oh my it was delicious. Erika the manager was awesome and our waitress Heather was above the standard. We five ate for about $ 63 the kids and us drew pictures on the tables which is fun and awesome.

Happy hour here is awesome. $ 3 wine and draft beer and $ 5 for a pizza that is awesome and enough to put you into a food coma if you’re not sharing it. The bar staff is great, although one time a waitress commented on how much pizza I ate in a surprised manner and now she is dead to me. But really, everyone is warm and friendly. The fireplace is warm and cozy on a rainy night. It is a part of the mall, so that’s a drawback, but if you’re at the mall and need a $ 3 glass of wine cause, let’s face it, it’s the mall and sometimes you need to drink to deal with it, this is a great spot to hit up.

This time the service was ok but the food quality was not fit for consumption sorry to have to write such a poor review but someone in the organization needs to review hygiene and HACCP practices in this location. I have never seen such bad and dark chicken in the pasta. It certainly was not fresh and very old… CP

Disclaimer: I usually spend time putting together a well thought out, carefully worded reviews. Romano’s Macaroni Grill doesn’t deserve the time, hence the short review. My wife ordered Chicken Parmesan, I ordered Eggplant Parmesan. Both came with a side of small Caesar’s Salad. Hot Fukacha and olive oil are complimentary. The Chicken Parmesan tasted like a worn out, breaded all season tire, and it came with a bunch of nicely placed but tasteless macaroni. My wife, God bless her, always offers me a generous piece of her meal to taste, I took a small bite of the fried rubber, and left the rest. Eggplant Parmesan, came with another one of this bunched macaroni, but this one had marinara sauce on it. My wife said it was OK. Another disclaimer: I love eggplant. I love it in any shape or form: cooked, fried, grilled, mashed, in salad. I welcome eggplant in any form except two: jam and raw. Sweetened eggplant is, at least in my mind, an oxymoron. Raw eggplant is just not meant to be eaten. The Eggplant Parmesan at Macaroni Grill was raw. It was breaded and fried, and had melted cheese on top(to say it had all the right ingredients), but the eggplant itself was under fried. The fukacha was wonderful, we finished two. $ 41.01 plus tip(to the amazing waiter who actually knew how to write his name on the paper tablecloth — backwards!!!) for a total of $ 47.00. Truthfully, I’d rather spend as much on a real tire. After all, winter is around the corner. I’d rather call the experience a mistake.

This place is a joke. After reading the other reviews I’m glad I’m not alone. We sat in the bar next to the fireplace and no one helped us so we decided to get up after waiting 10 minutes and request a booth. we were told it be 15 minutes… well about 25 minutes go by and nothing. we had to ask if a booth was ready. so we already wasted a half an hour waiting for us just to be seated. Server was sweet don’t get me wrong but she wasn’t very attentive… She brought us bread and oil but no vinegar so we eat all the bread and then she finally brings us vinegar AFTER we had to ask for it. My food was really good but presentation(look at photo) was nasty. Looked like throw up. It was so soupy and they delivered it on a plate so all the broth spilled out all over the table. it should have been put in a bowl. oh and did I mention that they were fruit flies near our table and my silverware was dirty and I threw up the food when I got home

Do not go here with kids during the lunch hour special where they promote meals in 7 minutes or it’s free. We arrived at 12 and the restaurant was pretty empty. We were immediately sat with our twin 18 mo boys. Apparently if you order off of the regular menu and spend more money, you are less important than a promotion that this place obviously can’t uphold. We immediately ordered the kids Mac and cheese ordered our drinks and our food; as we have a limited time. We informed our waitress and she told us she would be back with bread. 1. We never got our bread 2. We had to ask about the kids meals 3. The restaurant filled up with people ordering off of the express menu. 4. People who came in 30 minutes after us, ordered, ate and left and our food still did not come out. 5. We asked for our food after a good hour and were told it was coming soon 6. More people ate and left 7. Toddlers began going crazy 8. Asked to see a manager 9. Were told my lobster raviolis were now simmering. Really? Over and hour now 10. Food comes out after an hour and 30 mins. 11. My wife’s salad plain Bibb and bleu salad didn’t come. 12. We left without getting our food. We won’t be coming back that’s for sure and don’t recommend you go either.

Never had even heard of Romano’s until my stepdad brought my sister and I here — turned out to be a decent visit! There were quite a few people waiting and we were told it would be 15 minutes for three people. Luckily for us, they got everybody seated(including us) in like 10 minutes or less. Our waitress came to us pretty quickly and she gave awesome service throughout the entire dinner. Her name was Taylor, if I’m remembering correctly. She gave me recommendations on dinner entrees because I was having the hardest time deciding between three very different things. I ended up getting the plain olé’ spaghetti and meatballs with a peach iced tea. Our appetizers were the fried zucchini and the mac and cheese bites. The fried zucchini paired with the marinara sauce was actually REALLY good — even better than the mac and cheese bites, which I wasn’t expecting! My spaghetti and meatballs was okay… I wasn’t really the fan of the sauce. Something was just off about it. Note: be sure to stir any of the flavored iced teas really well or you may end up sucking up straight syrup. Bleckkkk. Overall, this place is perfect for the area that it’s in and families as well. Each table is adorned with blank white paper so that everybody can write all over the tables, which was a really cool touch in my opinion. The décor is also really neat and the entire restaurant is pretty clean. Not sure I’ll be back because it’s way out of the way, but if I am back… I’ll definitely be getting the lobster stuffed ravioli over the spaghetti.

Located by the convenient Alderwood mall, this restaurant appears to the popular place to go to! Make sure you make reservations or wait time can be up to an hour I overheard. Their dishes are not bad and pricing is absolutely fair. They have appetizers 2 for 9.5 $, soup and salad, steak selection, pizza etc. They have happy hour by the bar only: $ 5 pizza and 3 $ beer etc. We tried their chicken pasta, farm pizza and steak. Their steak was ok only but the rest were quite yummy. They also have pretty good deals for their lunch menus. Their service is good considered how busy they can get. Lots of parking available in mall parking lot.

I’ve been to Romano’s before and enjoyed my visit, so we decided to return. We were wooed by the $ 9 dinners in 9 minutes banners we saw outside. When we were seated, we scanned the menu looking for those items… um…no. We asked our waitress about these $ 9 dinners, so she stepped away to get those menus. She told us the items on that menu could be ordered«over there» and could be eaten in, but we would have to serve ourselves. We looked over the menu and opted for items on the regular menu. I ordered Chicken Marsala(which apparently I have never had before) and my dining companion has butternut squash ravioli(deconstructed). The Chicken Marsala was pretty good, not a red sauce dish, but with mushrooms and a nice golden sauce and a nice mound of angel hair pasta. The ravioli was a different matter. The ravioli were open face, not sealed raviolis as we are used to. The butternut squash were cut in small cubes and nicely cooked. The sauce was spare and the flavor was more, diffused. It as very different and not at all like squash ravioli I’ve had other places. The flavors were not as expected or as strong. The bread before our meal was a large rosemary ciabatta, nicely warmed and served with olive oil and balsamic, always a nice starter. The service was great, we were greeted and seated promptly. Our server, Laura, did a very nice job. I had the a glass of the house wine which was an above average red blend.

Steve our bartender/waiter enjoys people and his job. His pleasant smile and sense of humor was infectious and we could not help but return the happiness and smile back when he stood at our table to start our meal. We ordered the house Chianti and enjoyed every drop of a generous pour at a modest $ 3.00 per glass happy hour price. The warm flat bread dipped in virgin olive oil paired well with it and the rest of the menu. I ordered the baked Italian which included enough pasta, meat balls and italian sausage that breakfast was covered the following morning. When the check arrived, I felt our meal was a good value for the price paid. The food, service and drink all met my expectations and I will return again when I crave Italian food. No its not gourmet dining, it is a chain but it is a nice comfortable meal with Steve as an added bonus. Thanks Steve, you are a good waiter.
