*** WARNING *** THEYWILLTRYTOOVERCHARGEYOU!!! and then ignore requests for a manager. On mothers day, 5÷8÷16 at 1:46 p.m. I placed my order for two pizza rolls. Advertised on tv as $ 5, on the website at $ 5 and on the signs in the store at $ 5. My total should have been $ 10.90. The person that took my order has a very heavy accent and I did not understand the total he told me on the phone. When I got to the store to pick up the order the girl behind the register told me it was $ 13.08. I asked why and she said«thats what my computer is telling me to charge.» I pointed out that the rolls were $ 5 each and with tax it shouldn’t be more than $ 11. She insisted that is what she had to charge. I asked to talk to the manager. She gave me a blank look. I asked again and she told me he was in the back making pizzas and taking phone orders. She once again told me I owed $ 13.08. I said no, and did the math for her again. This time I looked up the city sales tax, it is 9%. I explained that the total should be $ 10.90. That even the sign in the store said they were $ 5. She then tried to tell me that was only if we bought a pizza. NOWHERE does it say that. I asked for the manager again, and again got a blank look with no response. Just then four more employees walked in. The girl started telling one of them something in spanish. Girl #2 came over and I explained the same thing to her. She fiddled around with the register and told me my total was $ 11 and change. I said no, it should be $ 10.90. She sighed and rolled her eyes at me. I asked for a manager again.(4th time) Both girls ignored the request. Girl #2 fiddled more with the register and then told me my total was $ 9 and change. I said no again, and told her what it should be. Girl #1 with a snotty attitude asked me «So what do you want?» I replied I wanted to pay the correct amount. Girl #2 then said that it was either the $ 9 and change or $ 10.99 that was the closest she can get to $ 10.90. I asked for a last time for the manager and was ignored. This was 15 – 20 minutes. The man that was in the back«making pizzas» looked at me every time i asked for a manager, but did not come out. Our food was OVERCOOKED and ICECOLD. HORRIBLE customer service. My first ANDLAST time going to this papa johns. Ill go back to dominos or pizza hut.

Me and my Bf were trying to have a nice lazy night in with some warm delicious pizza and a movie We placed our order online at 6:50 pm and were kept waiting until 7:55 that is when I received a call from the driver who apparently couldn’t figure out what apartment complex I lived even though it has giant numbers on it so he made me walk downstairs to pick up my pizza and forgot my ranch which I specifically asked for online and made sure I called the store to let the them know to bring ranch. In the end I came upstairs and ate my cold ranchless pizza.

My first review ever; But i felt so strongly about this incident with this locations Management and team. On Friday 2÷26÷2016 @ 5pm I called to place an order because I had received an E-mail with a Coupon code for a Large 2 topping pizza for $ 7.99(valid in-store or On-line Carryout). As simple as that was, the associate who picked up the phone was oblivious to the special and continued to negate with me. I asked to speak to her manager, who could better assist me. She politely put me on hold. When she returned to the line she stated that Management would NOT take the call. I asked her why she proceeded to tell me «Because they just are not going to answer.» I once again insisted on speaking to them even to the point of volunteering to wait to speak to them or I was going to call corporate. She then rudely said then call them & Hung Up on me. I don’t blame the associate for her character or Ignorance. In retrospect with that kind of management what would you expect. You must Lead by Example. It is a shame to this Corporation having employees so undeserving of their positions, when I can guarantee their are better qualifying unemployed Americans. It is the principle of the matter. I strongly suggest Corporate to take action to 1) Better train the people who you hire to represent YOU. or 2) Compile a more capable team together. I took my business to one of your competitors; Little Caesars. It wasn’t the price nor the quality of the food. It came down to the Customer Service that this particular location lacks.

I called in a order at 9:00am and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived at the location at 9:25 pm and paid and was told my order would be ready soon. At 9:40pm I asked how much longer and the cashier walked to heating lamp and grabbed my order which I noticed sitting under the heating lamp when I arrived at 9:25pm. I asked for a refund. The customer service was horrible they didn’t even apologize. Super disappointed…

Where to start… I went here on a Sunday evening at around 6 pm, with my boyfriends younger cousin. There were already a few people waiting on the chairs provided. We had ordered our food online to get the papa rewards lol and to have it ready to go. We got there and the young women who attended us was just awful. I think I honestly could have had her fired due to breaking multiple health regulation codes. She WASCHEWINGGUM!!!, giving us attitude, her hair was WAY to long for a ponytail(should have been in a bun), and overall she just seemed over it and was belittling the customers it seemed as if she felt like we were all just wasting her time. It was the worst experience I’ve had anywhere by far which is sad to say. Anyhow eventually we got our pizza and we were off… Finally.

I love pizza but this place made it my nightmare as i took a slice and bite of my Hawaiian pizza slice i suddenly felt something hard in it i took whatever was in my mouth and found out it was a nail, not a human nail bit a steel nail i was very upset that i called and they have terrible customer service to top it off. Never again

i like papa john pizza. thier pizza is always good. I especially like their garlic sauce that comes i the box. so what’s the problem, well why so stingy with them chilli peppers. Only 1 pepper per box. Order 3 boxes = 3 of the dryiest peppers they could scape of the desert. Really? minus 1 star. so whats up with the other –2 stars? here’s whats up. every time i order i get this lady and we struggle to put in the order. she speaks broken English, you’ll find better customer service from an answering machine from india on an at&t network than make an order here. good god, how she is still working there, I’ll bever know. tips: order online and bring ur own peppers. pizza is good though.

Fantastic service and pizza! Definitely 5Stars! I went at THE busiest moment(Saturday night 7:30pm) it was packed and the online and phone orders were coming in non stop YET my online order was still made in a timely manner, sure it was 10 – 15 mins later then the usual weekday pick up witch only takes 10 – 15 mins total but for how packed it was and the amount of pizzas they were making I say they handled it very well… Does look like they need a part time weekend driver tho as tons of pizzas were ready. Great crew there. *Old Review Below* Service is always fantastic 5 stars here. Everything from friendliness, freshness to timing is on point. When this place first opened up it had its delivery issues but since then and me getting carry out at least 5 – 10 times(delivery 3 times since the two mishaps I’d rather not bring up now) it has been absolutely perfect and this crew puts in hard work! My pizza has never been wrong and and keep me happy every time Sorry I had to leave my Florence location but this one is closer :) and just as good

Called in. A pjone order. They said 10 to 15 mins. Left my house, which is a 10 min drive from the location. Took me 15 mins to get through the line and pay. Only to be told its another 15 mins… shoulda had it delivered. The staff has no sense of time. People have been waiting longer than i have… this place sucks…

I usually place online orders for delivery, but this time I decided to place a carry out order. I walked in and there were two young men working. One was rolling dough and the other one was in the back. Didn’t think anything of that until the guy rolling the dough walked to the register, told me my total and gave me my change! This guy never washed his hands, put on gloves or whatever they do, and handed me bills with flour on them. I was going to make a comment, but decided to grab my pizza and leave. Can’t help to think he went right back to his station to roll the dough, without washing his hands after handling money. After being a usual, I’m yet to return since that unsanitary experience!!!

We order often and once in a grey moon they get our orders wrong but they are quick to correct it… Today was not the case the manager had the nerve to not only ask the pizza back(not a problem) but also mentioned they have gotten a lot of complaints in regards to wrong orders… Uh that’s your problem not mine. Get your orders right and this wouldn’t be a problem. We have been loyal patrons for years but I think this will be the last time we order…

I really recommend this restaurant it’s the best Pizza in town, They open about a 2 weeks ago and their super busy, I’m sure their chosen because of their quality and service. I personally experience the best service, cashiers are very friendly and helpful their also super fast. I order a pizza online for pick up. I was at the restaurant 10 minutes after I order my pizza online my pizza was just coming out of the oven :) I love their fast service pizza has delicious.

Ordered on-line expecting to pay at regular price. Waited 30 minutes to pick up my carry out order. Show up, come to find out that they were giving away free pizza. Had all of Lynwood, South Gate and Compton all up in there trying to get their pizza. Had one cash register attendant, one person walking around putting stickers on boxes taking orders via phone, and they could not keep up with the demand!!! I says, god damn, god damned these people. Looked like a riot was going to ensue! Please Lordy lord, bless their freshman asses and get them mo’ help. I still had to wait 55 minutes! 55 minutes! That’s the amount of time I get visiting my kids every Sunday!!! Thanks to the court order!!! I need my pizza, and need it fast.

very good customer service, i believe the management has changed since they first opened the store, the first time i ordered for delivery the driver got here on time with my order complete and with lots of cheese and pepper as i asked :) i was very satisfied!!!

We were going to visit our niece and great nephew in South Gate and his thing is we always bring a pepperoni pizza and bread sticks from Papa John’s . The wife said instead of getting the pizza here why not order it from the new PJ in Lynwood and pick it up on the way. Robert took our order just b4 we left the house and everything was waiting for us and was as ordered when we arrived 25min later. Tasted just like our local PJ. The staff was very friendly so I think the Management may have changed a few thing after reading some of the earlier reviews
