Tastes good, love the potatoe rounds! They just need a bit more variety of tacos, they all seem to taste the same… Price is good though!

A great Taco Johns with plenty of staff manning the lines making sure place is clean and food is fast. This place is way better than Taco Bell and Rockford is fortunate to have so many of these franchises in town offering cheap Mexican food for the non-Mexicans

Gross… I couldn’t even eat my meal. Not only was I surrounded by the mongloids that lurk in the Rockford area, but I immediately felt sick to my stomach the second I took 2 bites. If you’re thinking about taco johns just go find the nearest alley and lick the oil spots off the ground. Has to be better…

It took them three times to get my order correct. Pathetic. Not going back to that fast food idiot laced place.

It puts the lotion on it’s skin and puts it in the basket again. For me, winter means two things; slathering my dessicated skin with plenty of lotion, and partaking copiously of tacos. I deal in non-sequitors, so forgive me the lack of a cohesive theme here. Anyway, I usually eat 2 Taco Bell crunchy tacos each day for lunch. Hey, they’re low cal and delicious and you can’t beat the texture of the crunchy shell. But when I was in Rockford recently, and there was narry a Taco Bell to be found, I stumbled upon a Taco John that was so new and lusterous that I had to don the Ray-Bans to effectively navigate the drive thru. It happened to be 59 cent taco Tuesday, so I went all in and ordered three. I have to tell you, they were absolutely delicious. Definitely a notch above Taco bell. The shell wasn’t just a vessel for the other ingredients. It was an ingredient itself. It had a delicious saltiness and a great texture. The meat was perfectly spiced, the lettuce was fresh and crispy, and the sauce was spicy but smokey. Really Tasty! Forget following the Grateful Dead(I guess that would be pretty difficult now anyway) or Phish, my new goal is to visit every Taco John in the country. I better run, I’ve got 424 locations to go.
