Scully’s Boardwalk Restaurant

Typical tourist restaurant with a limited menu. Although it sits Waterside on the inter coastal of St Pet’s John’s Pass, it’s obvious the waitress tries not to give away that it’s not all that!
I ordered very bland Pina Colada, which was quickly replaced with a beer.
The meal was well… bland as well. A French Dip that should come with cheese, is additional $ 2.00 up charge. I ordered shrimp stuffed with crab. Not great but $ 24.00 I received 6 with a spoon full of frozen vegetables.
Not even gonna think about a second visit. The waitress melissa was really friendly and helped alot.
We sat outside instead of inside, which after going into the restroom, I’m glad we did.
The inside smiled old. The restroom was cramped, out dated. The walls were missing tiles with a sign that asked you to hold down the handled

We had a fresh grouper sandwich and coconut shrimp. The Thai sauce for the shrimp was a little spicy, but very good. My wife said the sandwich was good. I enjoyed the shrimp. The margarita was a top shelf classic as good as I’ve ever had. The service was good. The view off the boardwalk was good. What more could we ask for. I don’t usually discuss value for if I’m satisfied and the price is within reason what more could a person want. The prices here were maybe a little steep, but we came away satisfied.

Awful food. Slow service. The house salad consisted of partially decayed baby lettuce with a couple unripe tomato slices and red onion. The rolls tasted like freezer and were bland. The «lump» crab cake sandwich was free of any lumps, more like crab mush which was so over salted it was inedible. The bun was stale and untoasted. The fries were obviously sourced from a frozen bag. The quality of the food does not live up to the prices. My husband ordered the spinach salad with shrimp, which were almost raw, and the spinach also brown. This was not worth waiting almost an hour, WITH two hungry toddlers. Will not be returning.

Nice place to eat and look over the water. We parked the boat at the dock and walked up the stairs to this place. Its on a boardwalk and near many other shops in the area. The restrooms are tiny, but usable, ha. The food was good, but a bit pricey. Outside seating is best so you can have water views, but inside has cold AC for hot days. The service was OK, and on time. Worth eating at if you’re in the area.

Relatively limited menu. Got a grilled chicken sandwich, husband got fish and chips. Service was good, portion sizes were a bit smaller than standard restaurant sizes, but we’re certainly adequate.
Sat dock side with an ocean view so we could people watch, it was a nice day and so a nice view.

Will definately return. Service was great and food was pretty good. I ordered a crab cake sandwich with cole slaw. The cole slaw was near perfect. My husband had a cheeseburger and fries which he enjoyed. I also had a pretty good bloody mary that had just enough spice. Awesome lunch venue!

Overpriced bar food that is bland to the taste. I had the cheese quesadilla ($ 11.99) which was a small portion and bland. Soda tastes flat and off. We told our server and she said that although she knows it tastes bad, there is nothing she could do to correct the situation and the soda machine settings cause the soda to taste bad. Service is also slow despite the fact that is was only half full.

There was nothing great about this place. First of all, we sat outside, the patio is nice and offers a nice view of the water and boardwalk, that was the best thing about our visit. The high tops and stools are so disproportionate that the table came up to my arm pits, granted, I am only 5’2″, but it wasn’t much better for my 6′ husband. We both had a Shrimp Cesar Salad, it was covered with powdered parmesan and the shrimp were borderline raw. To top it off, our check was wrong, the salads were 12.99 on the menu, when we questioned it, the waitress immediately replied «did it charge you 14.99?», we didn’t even have to tell her, she knew. So then we had to wait another ten minutes while she got the manager to correct the $ 4 overcharge. I’m thinking 12.99 should at least get you some fresh parmesan. It wasn’t terrible, but with so many better choices in the area, I won’t go back.

Allow me to preface by saying this establishment deserves zero stars. The service was close to non existent. The food was questionable, at best. Mozzarella sticks are hard to mess up; they were disappointing. The grouper fish tacos weren’t foul tasting, but they were bland and sub par. The Bloody Mary looked impressive, but had zero vodka in it. *Don’t be sucked in to this tourist trap.* Take an extra minute to explore other options.

I’ve been skeptical due to the awful reviews but we still take the risk. Surprisingly, we liked everything! The interior and exterior is very nice with many curious details. Our kid liked it a lot and kept saying that he felt like a pirate.:)
We ordered Crispy Calamari with Tartar dip, Jumbo Stuffed Shrimp and Lobster Bisque. Everything was delicious but bit overpriced. For $ 26 we got only 6 shrimps with tbsp of crab stuffing. Wish we got bit more.
Service was fine. Our waitress, Marianna, was welcoming and helpful.

Don’t go!!! Walk a couple more feet and go to the Boardwalk Grill! Crowded crazy and definitely not clean. We left immediately after being seated and walked a few steps to the Boardwalk Grill and had a great Lobsta roll with hand cut french fries.

Didn’t eat here but loved their bar/​night life! They have really great bands that play at night! Can be loud so may not be for everyone. They do close pretty early.

Seriously crappy food in kitschy atmosphere. The service is the only thing this place had going for it. I can’t recommend anyone spend their hard earned money on the food here. I certainly will not be returning.

Slowest service I have ever received in my life. Lunch took over two hours and was just ok. I will never return. It was raining so we picked a restaurant quickly. It was not busy, not another table was seated in our room. No music and our server took forever for everything, menus-​15 minutes, drinks-​20 minutes, food-​30 more minutes, no refills, and it took forever for the check. We left cash because we were afraid to give a cc because it would have taken another 30 minutes to get it back. Skip this place!

I would say that this restaurant is over priced!!! The food was amazing and so was the service, but oh my goodness it was expensive and the portions were smaller than average. We had calamari and fish spread as an appetizer. The calamari was mediocre, the fish spread was good! I had the Shrimp & Scallop Scampi pasta for dinner. It was really flavorful & I was satisfied! The waitress was soooo nice and helpful and we liked her a lot! She was very smiley and friendly and came to check in on us the perfect amount of times! The location and ambience is awesome and fun. I would recommend this restaurant but only if you’re looking to spend $ 140 on dinner for 4.

So I have eaten here a few times before and it’s just been Ok. Ok good and Ok seevice. Last night though was bad. First of all the waitress was very bad. She knew the menu well enough but she did not come back and refill drinks very often and it took her At least 30 minutes to get our appetizer order. Now I would be ok if the restaurant was busy but it wasn’t .
Now the food came out appetizers were fine. Cooked correctly and Ok flavor. After another 30 minute wait our food finally came out. I got the grouper sandwich. Everyone else in my party said their food was ok. My sandwich on the other hand was disgusting. I got a huge thick place of grouper that probably should have been cooked an extra 5 minutes. My first bite was a nice big bite into a raw uncooked grouper fillet. Now I would of returned it for another but I figured it would of taken another 25 minutes to get another one based on the slow service. Also to note whoever the manager was on duty was to busy drinking a piña colada then actually asking folks is their experience was
I will not be going back again. On top, of that it’s not a cheap place either about 20 dollars a person. Also avoid the back room seating if you can

We are locals and choose to eat here to steer clear of the corporate restaurants. Unfortunately the food was not good, nor was the service and all was waaaaaay overpriced.
The kids chicken fm the meals were very over cooked and tough. The white sangria had no fruit. Our fish and chips were Pricey with little fish or chips. The lobster bisque was decent, there for the one star.
The service was not good, maybe her first day? We had to ask for everything needed for our meals and to have our drinks refilled each time.
We will not be back.

Really nice. Situated on Johns Pass boardwalk with loads of shopping, deep sea fishing, dolphin sighting tours. What a neat place, make sure you stop!

Miserable Servers! Unfriendly! And we’re locals!!! We waited in line to get a table for 5 mins. The people in front of us were turned away rudely because they had a dog. When it was our turn to get a table the host did not return. Another lady saw us and sat us with breakfast menus, which is why we chose to eat there on a Sunday. Menu said breakfast till 11:30. We were sat at 11:15am. 5 servers passed us and no one said a word. We asked the lady who sat us to get us a server. When a server did come, he said we no longer serve breakfast 15 minutes ago. And took our menus away and told us to go somewhere else to eat on the boardwalk. Very rude and we left! With all the competition on the beach, you would think this place would have more class. They didnt care that we were upset after my husband told them to use a better tone and get trained to be more customer service friendly.

Decent food and drinks. Sat on the deck by the water. This place is more about the atmosphere. Wings, coconut shrimp, fish tacos, and chicken wrap were good. They have a bunch of fans around the deck to help cool you off on a hot day and it definitely helps a bit. Looks fun inside but it was a nice day so we didn’t bother.
