Dang, this is an awesome hardware store. I’ve been here for some pretty obscure tools before, and they’ve always had them. They also have the highest quality goods. I got superb packing tape from here, for example, that was just so much better than the garbage I stupidly picked up from Target (which started splitting apart after like ¼ of the roll). The employees are always proactive helping you and will explain how to use and do things. They also tell very funny jokes, so you get a little comedy plus knowledge plus what you need. Great place.

Shout out to Unilocal,first of all, because I drive by this store literally every day and yet I didn’t think of it when I was looking for a hardware store today. Just did a qick Unilocal search, and boom, I was only a block away.
The store is small and packed and may not have the hugest selection ever, but they had what I needed, or at least something that I can make work. Close enough for a DIY’er.
The service was great, low key, ftiendly, he really tried hard to find me something that would work for my project. I was in and out very quickly, and with parking right in front, it could not have been a more convenient stop.
Just crossing my fingers that this fix does the trick.

Dorn is the quintessential neighborhood hardware store. The staff is super helpful and when I moved I was there almost every day to pick up something I needed for the house. They have everything from small screws for hanging pictures to steam vacuums you can rent. The store may look small but they somehow still have everything I need. It is also a lot easier, friendlier and less time consuming to go to Dorn vs. going to a big box store.
