Elka Lane Apartments

My husband and I have lived in Elka Lane apartments for almost three years. It is a small (6 buildings) apartment complex on the northeast side of Madison. It is very quiet, clean and well taken care of. All two bedroom apartments are on the first floor and have a storage room and a patio. All one bedroom apartments are on the second floor and have a spacious attic for storage and a small balcony. We’ve lived in a one bedroom apartment and loved it! When we were searching for apartments about three years ago, this was the only place in Madison we could find that had central heat. Most Madison apartments have electric heat that runs about $ 200 a month in winter — ouch! The garage that we leased at Elka Lane apartments was totally worth the money, especially in winter. Most maintenance requests were taken care of the same business day. All six building are smoke free! Cats are allowed for a small monthly fee. There is a laundry room in every building. The landlords are very professional and reasonable people. We enjoyed living in Elka Lane apartments and highly recommend them.
