What an amazing store. It was an adventure! We’re surprised by the variety and classiness of the entire store

Most beautiful Kroger you’ve ever seen from the outside. They designed it to fit in well with swanky Madison. Huge produce section as well as organic health food section. Sample any cheese before buying them, even the fancy ones (and you don’t have to feel guilty about sampling them ALL because a staff member doesn’t station the area). Minimal junk food aisles. This is a 5 star place and well worth the 20 min drive from my house. I thought the one on 55 was good. This one is A rate. Will be coming back again and again.

This Kroger continues to disappoint. For the past 2 weeks, there has been no decent zucchini or squash, no fat free cottage cheese. Finally there were a few bags of frozen green giant plain broccoli, which is a staple at our house. Sorry, folks, I bought all they had, because who knows when they will have it again? The beef continues to disappoint. The produce department is hit or miss at best. Add to that the fact that they have redesigned the store, which leaves us all wandering like the prodigal son in the far country to find what we need, and also the Spanish promotion, which is totally overkill. I passed a display of what looked to be no less than 200 bottles of a Spanish organic olive oil in the condiment aisle — how many people do they think are going to buy that — or rush out to get all of the other ingredients they are pushing to make paella? I’m sure this is a corporate promotion that the store isn’t in control of, but what about being in touch with what the customers want and need? And why can’t we get a decent banana in this store? They are ALWAYS either green or over-​ripe. And if you come before noon on a Monday, forget finding anything fresh. Don’t the stores here stock overnight? This could be a wonderful store with a little attention to the details. I will continue to complain, even though it’s pretty obvious that nobody reads this. Maybe the manager should actually pay attention to the store instead of strutting around talking olé miss sports with people in the store — which was the case on New Year’s Eve when I was trying to find something and looking for someone to ask.

Don’t expect to get fried chicken here on Sunday! At 11:00 in the morning, asked for a 12 piece while looking at a tray full of fried chicken! They said it would be 20 minutes. Always out of fried chicken on Sunday. Bad management!

If you have the time (or if this is nearest to you), this is the Kroger to go to! I used to think the Kroger in Jackson, on 55, was the best Kroger around (probably because I lived closest to it at the time), but not any more. This Kroger has a vast selection of quality goods. They usually have several selections of varying prices (think good, better, best) in almost every category. As a Libra, it makes decision making hard, sometimes, but as a frugal guy, I really appreciate it other times!

They have beautiful meat again! They have good Boar’s head sandwiches to go. They now have sushi made by Asians! This place is the best grocery store in the state!
