U-Haul Moving & Storage at The Montague

I came here to get a trailer hitch installed. was told it would be an hour or less, ended up being closer to two hours. I was the only appointment that day. The worker also advised me on something about towing with a soft top jeep, I advised him I did not have a soft top, it was a hard top jeep. He looked at me like I was a crazy person. The workers are hit or miss. I had a great experience on the phone, but then asked a worker for an update on the hitch since it had been an hour and a half and he said «well he is almost done. We will come get you when we finish,» with an eye roll and a «I don’t give a crap» look. Very disappointed in the customer service here.

These guys are our heros. We moved my MIL’s household to our home recently. The truck pick up was handled smoothly and the truck was very clean inside. We took off for the 60+ mile trip home and exactly 3 miles from our exit off 40 the truck overheated and was pouring out steam. TDOT came and stayed with us for safety at the side of the road, but one phone call to U– haul and the mechanic from Madison came out and assessed the problem, called this U-​Haul site and had a new radiator brought to the vehicle. In a freezing cold rain, at dusk, with cars and trucks whizzing by at 70 mph, he calmly and professionally installed a new radiator and we went on our merry way. They also extended our time to drop off the truck, though since we never needed to off-​load and change trucks… it wasn’t necessary. I could never have imagined such a professional, rapid and kind response. Stuff happens. What distinguishes one company from another is how well they handle «stuff.» Madison U-​Haul knocked it out of the park with their amazing response and we are beyond grateful.

Nothing to write home about, but I used Uhaul for a recent move and everything went smoothly. Employees were nice and even let me drop the truck off at a different location than I had originally planned.
