I have lived in Malden center in the past year and I always go to this nail salon for a mani/pedi. The ladies always do a magnificent and very thorough cleaning of my toenails. Their scrubbing of my heels is heavenly(trust me, I desperately need it each time). They only charged me $ 27 dollars for both mani/pedi and $ 7 for my eyebrows. Maria is super sweet and considerate. She is very pleased when she sense that you are happy with your service! Lovely service at a cheap price!

It’s good, but their English has accent sometimes, so it’s hard to understand. Then if I ask it again, they just gave up and do on their own ways. Moreover, when I ask nailist the design specifically, they seems they don’t wanna do those complicated design. It’s your job, isn’t it?

I love this place! Not too many nail salons have mani and pedi for $ 25, clean and take pride in their work. I have always had a great and thorough nail job done here. Absolutly no complaints! Just from my last visit about a week ago, I had an older woman, I believe her name is Maria, who was so thorough, she worked with intent purpose and not robotic at all, not only that, she had a «motherly side» to her and even showed genuine concern with my bad habit of biting my cuticles and skin around my fingernails even when she hardly spoke English. Great effort and I will continue to go here for my nail care. It’s 30 minutes from where I live and so worth it!

The 4 stars was for the customer service they took me in immediately and my mani/pedi did come out looking good, Why the one other star I left out, The pedicure was good but not Amazing! She was weak on the scrubbing, And you would think they know it’s cold outside already and they’re customers would like to dip they’re feet in some nice hot blue pedicure water right… Nooooo she figured I wanted to soak my feet in freezing water, I guess to match my freezing Ass!

The owner of this nail salon did a great job on my shallic nails! He’s very detailed oriented. I would recommend him for gel and acrylic nails. Plus the price here is definitely worth it!

This place is great for the price. They do a great leg massage while doing pedicures. They disinfect the materials before using them on you.

I go here because they are inexpensive $ 25 for a Mani and a pedi and it’s a short commute. The décor is basic, the nail polish selection is pretty decent, although a lot of the colors are similar. I would say the nail job depends on who you go to. Linda the oldest woman in there does a good job on the feet but comes short on manicures. The second woman, who is mid age, takes too long when doing Mani and pedicures and I don’t know why because she doesn’t do a particularly good job. The youngest girl does a decent job. Overall, I find they do a better job on my feet than hands. And John, the owner of the salon, I never seen him do pedis and I been going here for 1.5 years. I think the young male does the best job in terms of a Mani and pedi. His mani and pedis are the neatest looking. I am surprised a reviewer said they are very rude to African Americans. I am Black and they never been rude to me. In fact, all the women in here are nice and we make small talk occasionally. The young boy though doesn’t talk or really greet customers. BUT I can definitely say the owner, John is rude and snappy with some of his customers. And I have seen him being rude to not just African Americans but to an Indian as well. One woman, who appeared to be Indian, wanted her foot re-scrubbed because she feels it wasn’t done well. The older woman asked John in her native language and he basically said No and it will cost extra. Just very rude but he finally obliged. And the customer was too nice in not retaliating back with rudeness. I also remember a kid’s customer was being playful with him and he didn’t really reciprocate. Some people don’t like kids and that’s fine but I felt like the kid is being nice, so why just ignore him like he’s not there? In fact, my sister was a former customer but stopped coming because she said John yelled at her. She said he was very rude. It’s apparent to me he lacks customer service skills and is concerned in turning over as many customers for profit. But he should know don’t bite the hand that feeds you! And for any of you who are curious, the customers he has been rude to, definitely were not rude with him. If John or any of them have ever been rude to me, I would have ceased coming here… I also remember my then bf said my feet looked so good and he never seen them look that great, this is when I went to another nail salon… I may look for another nail salon to go to, just for higher quality manicures, even if it is more money.

I was surprised to find this place on Unilocal at all. It’s funny because I have been going there for a while now and I am never satisfied completely with my manis or pedis, but I am so lazy to go somewhere else. The last drop for me was my eyebrow waxing job. I am never going back there and here’s why: 1. They are very rude and unprofessional. I have witnessed many times how they treat their african-american costumers. This is a disgrace. 2.I have tried the infamous gel mani there twice. The owner of the place does it himself. And I have to tell you he is the WORST. He takes a smoking break every 5 minutes and comes back smelling awful. My second time he forgot to paint fingers on my left hand with top color(it was a french mani.) and I was so embarrassed for him that I didn’t even mention it. The manicure itself was sloppy. And my gel mani didn’t las 3 days. 3.Lili is the older woman that works there. She is pleasant, but her mani job is no good. 4. Nail polish choices are very poor and many of them are very old. So I used to bring my own base coat, top coat and polish. And I always tip 40 percent in salons.(well that was a waste of my money) 5. The nail drying machine does not dry anything. My nail drying spray in a can does a much much better job in seconds. 6. I have been lucky there, but I always see costumers waiting to get in. I just feel like the owner does not really appreciate our busyness. That’s why I will try to find some other nail place in my neighborhood.(which is not hard) 7. Back to my eyebrows. They were gorgeous! I did them myself. So this week I decided that I might get them a bit waxed so they look good for the holidays. I was worried that with all the drinking I am going to do I might forget to take care of them. So I went there and I did it. OMG I feel robbed, naked and asian. Instead of nice and thick eyebrows I got two ugly, thin lines that I have to fill in every morning to make them look like eyebrows. I am upset because as a beautician(or she was not?) she must have seen that I had shape and i was happy and I did not ask her to erase my eyebrows. So why the heck did she waxed them away? I have been putting up with sloppy manis and pedis for two years but I just can’t stand when salons alter my looks. That’s why I cut and color my own hair that gets millions of compliments from women of all ages.(Lets face it, we would rather get a compliment from a woman than a man any day) I hope this review been helpful. Question How much do you tip at salons?(just curious)

i just moved to malden and just wanted to get a mani/pedi. it was a sunday afternoon, so my choices were few, and this is the first place i found. mani/pedi was $ 25, so i was hoping that i found a diamond in the rough. my first disappointment was in the selection of colors. they had the standard 2 – 3 racks of different polishes, but a lot seemed to be the same colors. the pedi was very underwhelming. the lady was very rough with my feet, but then gave a very week foot/calf massage. while i was getting my pedi, the person that seemed to be in charge of the salon was arguing with another customer. the other customer was not happy with her manicure and asked them to clean up the edges of her nails/fingers, as she said there was polish on them. the man kept arguing with her saying that her nails looked fine and that she should pay and leave. this went on for almost 10 minutes before she sat back in the chair and he looked at her nails again. then while i was getting my mani, the employee was making fun of the girl that had complained earlier. very unprofessional. the mani was also nothing to write home about. i had to ask the lady to fix my nails a few times. once there was a bump in the polish and she either didn’t notice it or ignored it, and painted another coat on it. she fixed it once i pointed it out. i would not go back to natural nails. i am willing to pay more for a much better mani/pedi experience.

When it comes to nails, I am not a super experienced customer; I get two or three pedicures a year. Malden is loaded with Nail Salons, so I will keep looking for a good experience. This wasn’t it. Tabitha(salon takeover) would trash the décor if you can call it that, which consists of fake flowers and mirrored cactus wall hangings. But, it did seem to be relatively clean and I observed one employee sanitizing her tools. The pedicure was the usual complete experience, including lots of products and a massage chair. I wish my technician had stronger hands; the foot and calf massage was pretty wimpy. My main gripe is the polish job, which upon closer inspection is a bit sloppy. Also, somehow I was charged $ 25, instead of the $ 20 posted on the wall. Not sure how this happened and I should have questioned it.
