Ryan is a nice guy and his sushi is very good. We hired him for a dinner of 25 people (college guys). We had issues because Ryan advertised his service as «as much as you can eat,» however the sushi did run out and many of us were left hungry.
After talking to Ryan, it sounds like he was not prepared for a dinner this big (25 people) and underestimated how much food to bring. He was nice enough to nearly cut our rate in half because we felt so dissatisfied and our expectations were not met. No way am I paying $ 50/​head for people to leave hungry.
Additionally, the pictures of the sushi platters posted here on Unilocal were not what we experienced. We did not get any beautiful displays of sushi, like we had been hoping for. Instead, we all waited in line as Ryan dished out sushi which was immediately consumed as it came out. I have to say that I have no doubt that Ryan was working very hard back there. I think this was an issue of not having additional sushi chefs preparing for such a large group. It would have also been helpful to have platters ready when we started the dinner. For $ 50/​person this was my expectation. I expected to have multiple chefs rolling sushi and to have some beautiful displays that would impress our guests.
I would recommend people hire Ryan, but I would make sure to give him as many details of the event as possible, as it seems Ryan was not prepared for our dinner. The system he had in place did not work, perhaps because 25 people was maybe too many for him to serve.
I have to say that Ryan is very responsive and open to feedback. I emailed him with our concerns and he did apologize for how things went at our event very promptly. I feel as though many other businesses may have not even replied to me, and I appreciated that Ryan did so.

I hired Ryan to cater my husband’s birthday party and it was amazing! We were in a hotel suite, so we were without the usual amenities and there was limited work space, but Ryan was flexible and made it work. The sushi was so fresh and delicious with some very unique maki recipes. This is coming from someone who has tried almost every sushi place in town and is very picky about sushi. Ryan was prompt with his responses and willing to accommodate our needs. We had someone with a shellfish allergy and Ryan made him some of his own delicious rolls. I was worried that there wouldn’t be enough food, but we were all so stuffed and even had leftovers! It’s definitely something that me, my husband, and all of our friends will never forget!

I cannot say enough good things about Chef Ryan. My son’s graduation party was amazing thanks to his sushi. Even the grandparents (who are not sushi fans) willingly ate this sushi and on top of it they raved about it! Someone else said that it was the best sushi they ever had. Every single thing he served us was extremely fresh and delicious. If you want a catered meal that is guaranteed to impress both young and old, sushi newbies and old hacks alike, this is your guy. Chef Ryan is pleasant, professional, prepared… perfect.

I ordered Ryan’s personal sushi service for my dad’s birthday party. We had 10 guests and the evening was a great success. Ryan was personable and the sushi he made was fantastic-​everyone was delighted by the process and intrigued by his artistry. I was concerned that perhaps there would not be enough food to go around, but there was plenty-​in fact, Ryan prepared so much that over a full tray was left over which my parents had the following day for breakfast lunch and dinner! They loved the experience and won’t stop talking about how fun and original it was for a birthday idea.
Ryan was prompt and professional in all his correspondence with me before the event (I was coordinating it from California and he is in Massachusetts). He answered all my questions and came prepared with all the necessary ingredients, utensils, etc. so we really didn’t have to do much at all.
I highly recommend Ryan for any party, bridal shower, catering event, anniversary, or special occasion. He and his sushi is fantastic!

This review is long overdue. Chef Ryan catered my 30^th birthday at my parent’s house back in December and we had a blast! There were about 10 or 15 of us and we each got to create our own exotic roll. He then proceeded to speedily roll a whole bunch more for us so that we never went hungry. We added in sake and, of course, birthday cake and everyone enjoyed themselves. Chef Ryan was very friendly and even stayed an extra hour or two, which was much appreciated. If you are ever planning a birthday party or bridal shower or the like, you should definitely contact him!

Chef Ryan is the bomb! A real pro who knows his sushi. We had a birthday party last night with about 20 people and everyone raved about the sushi. The taste, the presentation, the creativity was all top
notch. Everyone got their fill and was more than satisfied. A great find.

We had a July Fourth sushi party with Chef Ryan and it was a total success. Adults and youngsters alike loved the sushi and professional service. We found that he was very flexible and responsive as we changed dates and number of guests a few times.
He brings everything he needs to your place and doesn’t require any infrastructure from your home to function. We were very happy customers.

Thank you Chef Ryan for making my birthday party a hit! We had 12 guests and everyone raved about the quality, variety, creativity and quantity of your incredible creations. We enjoyed everything from traditional sushi and sashimi to more complex fusion rolls. My husband set this up and told me that communication with Chef Ryan was extremely easy– he emailed back quickly and was very professional. Chef Ryan came to our home to run a sushi making party. He exceeded our expectations by showing up with an actual sushi display case and all the accoutrements for a fabulous spread. High quality ingredients. Professional and courteous chef and great with children. We would highly recommend him.

I have had the pleasure of enjoying not one, but two in-​home sushi parties by Chef Ryan. All communications with Chef Ryan in booking and leading up to the parties were smooth and responses were extremely quick! He provided everything we needed to learn how to make and enjoy all kinds of sushi in-​home. After getting his sushi station set up, he whipped up a sampler platter of sushi and explained to our group a little about what he had available, techniques, and recipe tips. After trying some of what he made, everyone got a chance to try their own hand at it! It was a great night with lots of delicious food! You will definitely not leave hungry! Highly recommend OfferSushi for parties, girls night, etc.

Chef Ryan was incredible last night for my husbands surprise party. We would highly recommend him to make your party memorable. He did a fabulous job making fresh yummy rolls-​even for the pickiest non sushi eaters. He arrived early and cleaned up wonderfully. He brings everything… all you do is eat! Double thumbs up! You won’t be sorry.

I hired Ryan for a friend’s bachelorette party at my house and he was fantastic! I have to say I was very hesitant as I normally do all the cooking, etc for my parties… so I definitely felt nervous about the prospect of 20 women coming to my house for a party and having NO IDEA what to expect from the food/​catering. Ryan had been very responsive to emails leading up to the party, so I knew he’d at least show up. Well, not only did he show up… he did an excellent job! He set up efficiently and dressed professionally. Once he got rolling, it was a non-​stop sushi fest! Delicious and creative rolls and PLENTY of them. I had asian-​type frozen hors d’ouvers in the freezer in case we needed filler food and I never once thought about firing up the oven. He got high praise from all of my guests and I would definitely hire Ryan again.

Chef Ryan is the best! My bf suprised me with the most thoughtful xmas gift ever. He arranged for me and 10 of my friends to get a private sushi lesson at my house. My bf and another friend also got dressed up and bartended for us, mixing all type of drinks and serving wine. Great idea for your significant other! :)
Chef Ryan’s homemade spicy mayo is hands down the best I have ever had. I wish he’d sell it by the bottle. Very spicy but we were making our own so everyone could use what they liked. He taught us the basics and let us make any rolls/​combos we wanted, answered questions about how to make sushi rice, etc, he even made a riceless roll for a non-​carb eating friend. We did inside-​out rolls, seaweed on the outside, small rolls and jumbo rolls. When we all had a chance to try and were busy gabbing and eating the best sushi ever, he just kept making more exotic rolls for us to try. We filled tupperware with the leftovers, and he left extra soy sauce and chop stix for us.
Best party ever. I’d highly recommend him to cater your next event if you’re not interested in a lesson.

I Hired Ryan of Offer sushi to Host a Sushi making class at my house this past January for my girlfriend and ten of her friends. Ryan showed up early, was very professional, and had more than enough food for everyone. The girls participating in this class couldn’t of had a better time. They loved learning how to create sushi rolls and liked eating them even more. They also loved all the different creations that Ryan created himself. I hope to do this event again in the near future
