The portion is ridiculous, but for $ 9 it better be. Never had Sir Lankan food before, and the Chicken String Hopper Biryani reminds me a little of Chinese rice noodles, but still different enough to be interesting. A box of that is easily enough for two meals, but it’s a challenge to store the leftovers due to the smell, because it WILL stink up wherever you put it unless you lock it in a airtight container. If you bring it to your office, please eat it within an hour or your coworkers will hate you forever. The Chicken Kotthu Roti was also good, the pieces of roti soaked up the sauce nicely. I also got the Sri Lankan Veggie Cutlets and the Lamb Samosa. The Cutlets were very good, the samosas so-so. The lamb version didn’t have lamb in the samosa, just some lamb pieces dancing on the outside. PS: Their food lean on the salty side, be sure to have a drink handy.

it’s tough to judge here. the food’s sometimes great, and sometimes really bland; it’s far too unpredictable, which is unfortunate. the«hoppers» are interesting. some days it’s like they kinda mail it in, and the«biryani» is just white rice with some stuff on it, rather than having the flavors suffuse through it. once, i ordered a chicken dish, extra spicy, but when i got to my desk, it was some sort of vegetarian combo– really disappointing. i didn’t want to have to take the elevator back down to get my meal fixed. i suppose that whoever ordered the veg. combo was probably also horrified to find dead chicken in their meal. so it’s tough to recommend them. on their best days they’d get a 4 star, even 5. but while they average 3 stars, their occasional 1-star really drag them down. the guys are nice, it’s just that the food’s so random. I hear that the restaurant is far better though!

Tried this place for the first time today, and it was good. I got a chicken and vegetable rotti and it was really good. I had visited a friend in Antigua this past Feb and fell in love with rotti. Even if the truck itself isn’t the best looking of the bunch, the food makes up for it. This place is great.
