First time customer yesterday and that will probably will be the last. I have wanted to try this place out for YEARS. It is an obvious stand out well known place and we just never had the time. Spent a wonderful day at Zuma Beach, great weather, great temp water and were just soooo starving. We decided to check out Paradise Cove Café and my husband was getting low blood sugar and woozy. We lucked out and got a table right away inside so we were excited for no wait since it wan’t that busy… except we ended up waiting anyways. We were passed by probably 10 different waiter, to which none were assigned to us apparently. We saw 5 surrounding tables in our section be helped by 5 different waiters and still nothing for us no drink order, no hi, nobody saying we’ll be right with you. Nothing. We flag down 2 seemingly annoyed, hurried waiters passing by us for the 10th time each. Both barely pay attention and say i’ll find out who your server is. Nothing. After 25 mins of sitting with a waiter spending(20 of those minutes at the table next to us just chatting away the entire time) I finally just get up, go to the waiters order area and relay the lengthy wait time and need for service. Which is ridiculous seeing how we were seated in direct line of sight with all of the waiters going to this corner and placing all orders in. The waiter I got up and talked to came and said«I’ll just go ahead and take care of it.» I’m pretty sure she was supposed be our waitress the entire time since she was already handling more than half of our section including the table behind us. We never had our drinks refilled or asked if we needed anything else. We had to flag down someone yet again for sauce and stuff to go with our meal. One hour here and we have fully finished our meals. Waiting once more for acknowledgement and we finally have to ask her in passing for the check. 15 mins later, get the check. 15 mins later she takes the check and we get it back almost immediately. The food was definitely good. We both got seafood dishes. I would get the seafood burger again for sure, and the fries were amazing. The best fish tacos were one of the best in so cal to my husband. The drinks were very good, but its hard to make a tropical drink bad when there’s nothing but flavored alcohol and juice in it. Awful service, and a staff that seems to not care at all. Every single person that worked there completed ignored us the entire time.

Pedro provided an amazing afternoon with excellent cocktails, salad was amazing and crab cakes delicious as well. It is always a long wait to get a table, so we got lucky and got the VIP section at the bar which is perfect, since you get faster service. Pedro has a great personality and highly professional. Looking forward to more afternoons of relaxation at the beach and lunch. Be careful not to stay more than four hours, otherwise you get a very high parking fee. Be sure to get validated and leave before the four hour limit.

Great place! My boyfriend and I chose to sit outside, and you literally are sitting at a table on the sand. Pretty pricey for the average person, but seeing as it’s on the beach and in Malibu, that’s to be expected. I got the ahi tuna salad(and they were pretty generous on the amount of ahi tuna), and my boyfriend got the chicken nachos. Our food was good, and the service was as well. Afterwards, we walked down to the beach to relax a little. Awesome place!

So I was just here a few days ago at the beach and the café and I wasn’t happy with the changes since the last time I was here. First the beds that are rented out have changed and only a limited amount of them on the beach now so unless you get there early chances are they will all be rested out. Parking has gone up to $ 35. You can validate your parking ticket at the café but only if you purchase $ 30 worth of food or drinks & it will only save you $ 6. We ate at the café and were very unhappy with the food. We order the seafood cold ice tower. It indicates on the menu it comes with ceviche, shrimp, mussels, calamari and a few other seafood items. When the waiter brought the seafood tower he made a mistake and brought the hot fried seafood tower. We brought it to his attention and he took it back and later brought the cold seafood tower. 45 minutes later or so of waiting. The seafood that was prepared on this tower was not fresh. The ceviche was not real ceviche. It was small scallops mixed with lots of onion and tomatoes. The shrimp was not fresh. Right away I let the waiter know how unhappy we were with what we ordered. He went to get a manager and we waited a long time to have the whole thing resolved. They took the seafood tower back and took it off our bill. I was very disappointed in the food at the café, and with. the changes that have happened since my last visit a summer ago at Paradise Cove.

Came here with a friend when we decided to take a trip out to Malibu. The café is the only restaurant in Paradise Cove so options were limited, luckily the place wasn’t bad. I got the Bacardi coconut rum and a float of Whaler’s dark rum($ 14.95, the Tuna Melt Cove Style($ 17.95), and my friend got the X-Rated Grilled Cheese($ 15.95). The drink was absolutely massive, but I didn’t like the dark rum on top or the boba inside(they weren’t the traditional black tapioca boba, they were the ones that pop and have juice inside). Both of our sandwiches came with french fries for sides(there’s also a coleslaw option if you don’t want fries). All the food was very good and fresh. I especially liked the fries. The tuna melt was better than the grilled cheese in my opinion though. We sat outside where there was a bunch of tables sitting in sand. There were lots of seagulls walking around the area that the servers constantly had to shoo away from guests and the food. It is very important that you do not drop any food by accident or the seagulls will come over to you. Make sure your children do not intentionally feed the seagulls either. The restaurant itself is generally clean and the servers friendly. I’m not sure if I’d take the long trip out to Paradise Cove to come back, but if I was in the area I wouldn’t mind coming back. Although I think I would probably opt to sit inside or in the back of the outside area(which is not on sand) next time.

Before I review the restaurant I have to say a big reason for the low stars is an incident I watched unfold on Father’s Day. Waiting in the lobby for my table a black woman bumper into a white man, said excuse me, and kept walking. The person she bumped into punched her in the back. Her husband who was close by saw it and was not a fan. He became visibly upset and guest relations came in between the men and while he was trying to explain that his wife just got punched they seemed to care less. When his explanations of what happened fell on deaf ears, along with the goading from the offender, he became more upset and was removed by multiple guest relations attendants. The white male in question left on his own, probably figuring he was in the wrong and it was in his best interest to split. Being a black male myself and having front row seats it didn’t seem right but that’s the world we live in. Off my soap box on to the review Food is pricey for what you get. 17 $ for a burger that comes with no cheese. I mean. Cmon. 3 tacos for 22 $ which they refused to do and exchange on one of their 7 $ tacos when the chicken taco was mostly fat and skin. The food is decent but feels gimicky. Similar to the feeling when your at six flags and you realize that they’re going to sell you overpriced garbage because you have no other choice other than leaving. Service was decent. Waitress was attentive for the crowd that came in on Father’s Day. Would I go back? No.

The highlight of this beach and café is that they allow you to drink beer, wine and champagne on the beach the restaurant has hard liquor, but you can’t take it on to the sand. Food: Clam chowder is decent, in a nice bread bowl. STEAMEDMUSSELS! That garlic, butter, wine sauce is amazing. Tacos are always great, though I find myself ordering this because nothing else seems too appealing for me. Kobe beef ribs are my fave, but extremely messy. Steak sandwich is nothing special, you’re going to want a lot of condiments on the side to satisfy your taste buds. Calamari and fries is a favorite amongst all, adults and children. Fries are crunchy, and greasy, but really tasty. Overall, it’s not the best food ever, but it’s decent and super convenient. They even have a to go area where u can order to eat on the sand at your own comfort. Fair warning, those seagulls will come for your food. Parking costs are $ 35 mon-fri and $ 50 on weekends. If you’re just visiting the café in itself, you can validate and pay somewhere around $ 4 – 8.

OMG how can this place only have 3 stars??? It’s so amazing, well thought out and unique. And, the food is AMAZING! Great Paella, seafood and a top-of-the-line salad bar. Hello people, it’s right on the beach surrounded by comfy seating chaise loungers and the beautiful sand and waves. It’s reminiscent of French and Italian beach cafes. My only complaint is it isn’t closer to town so I can go more often. I LOVETHISPLACE!!!

I don’t know what happened to this place, but my god, it’s expensive and their seafood is basically what you’d get at Jolly Rogers, but it’s $ 32 for the same deep fried awful fish. Service is maybe ok as they forgot two things we ordered for my daughter. You are paying for the view but that’s no good since you can get excellent food for the same price at any other restaurant in Malibu. You are way better at Sunsets on westward beach or even Geoffrey’s .seriously, this place is not going to make it with this level of service at these price points. And even after validation, the parking was 6 bucks. If you like feeling you’re getting robbed and you like a lot of French fries on your $ 22 greasy nasty pickled filled hamburger, the be my guest and go there. If you want real seafood at a fair price go anywhere else in Malibu… Shoots, Neptune’s net has better seafood and it’s way cheape

Average food and service at an above average price. I mean $ 9 for a mimosa? Come on! But I am not complaining because I understand that I am paying for the location/view and not necessarily the meal itself. This is a great place to take out of towners for breakfast or brunch. The alcoholic boba drinks are fun. Don’t get turned off by the parking signs– if you read closely you will see it’s only $ 6 for parking with validation(given that you spend at least $ 30 at the restaurant, which, given their menu prices, you will). If you haven’t had a chance to take advantage of paradise cove, this is a good way to experience it!

Food B– Ambiance A Service D Was really excited about coming here since the menu looks amazing. Unfortunately it was not worth it. Our food was SO overpriced, cold and super salty. Our server didn’t greet us, we had to ask for coffee refills and had to wait for the rest of our order. Once our $ 30 lobster Benedict came he never asked us how it was or if we needed anything else. We had to ask someone else to bring us catsup and for waters. Oh and you have to pay $ 8 to park. Our breakfast was not worth it here but definitely a great view !!!

By far the WORST restaurant experience of my life! My friends and I really wanted to go there for Memorial day weekend so I called 2 weeks in advance to make a reservation. I was able to make the reservation, but they said that if I wasn’t there 15mins early to claim it. They will give it away to another party. When I arrived, I parked along the PCH to avoid paying for parking. So my party of 7 walked down the street to the restaurant, just to be rudely funneled into a line where they charged $ 25 per person to enter the restaurant. I explained that I had made a reservation and that they were expecting us, but the rude security did not care. They went off on us and gave us the whole speal about how they are charging us for maintenence and for using their facilities. Whatever. There was no way in Hell we were going to cough up $ 175 for us to just walk in the restaurant. So we went back to our car to pay for parking, which would allow us to go into the restaurant for«free». Because of this ordeal, we were not 15mins early for our reservation, but rather 5mins early. And wouldn’t you believe it, they gave away our table. So after paying 50 $ to park and waiting nearly an hour to be seated, we finally got a table. The service was aweful, it took forever to order drinks and food and for the people in our party that didn’t drink alcohol, getting refills on drinks was a hassle. Finally after picking from their extremely over priced a la carte menu, we finally get our food only for everything to be deep fried and dripping with grease. After sending a few things back we ate and got the bill. Splitting it was a nightmare. Later that night one of my friends got severely I’ll from the fish. And we swore to never go back. NOTWORTHTHEEXPERIENCE. I really wanted to have a fun birthday party for my friend on Memorial Weekend, but everything at paradise cove gouged more and more money from our wallets without delivering a quality product or service. I was very disappointed that the whole place was a scam that stole a lot of fun away from the birthday plans. Paradise cove left a horrible taste in my friend’s and I’s mouth, and I will never recommend it to anyone.

The view & atmosphere is fantastic, I love being able to eat & drink right on the beach, just like being on vacation. . But what there serving makes me not want to eat here . I had the lobster tacos with rice and beans, the double tortilla is overwhelming & the taco taste bland. the rice tasted bad. was not impressed. . I also had the guacamole appitizer, also very bland … just tasted like a mashed avocado. . The pineapple & watermelon Boba rum beverages were good, & service was good . I’ll be back for the drinks & the beach when it’s warmer. maybe try one more dish. Maybe.

This is such a quintessential West LA spot, it’s almost painful. It embodies everything I love and hate about SoCal all in one. To start off, Paradise cove is a beautiful little beach with cliffs, crashing blue waves, and warm sand. Hence, it’s crowded as eff on a sunny day. It’s the perfect tourist trap with it’s lounge chairs and palm trees, and boy do they make $$ off of it! Be prepared to spend some cash just to get here. It costs $ 6 to park with validation at the beach café… but don’t fret! It’s good for up to 4 hours :) I’d recommend bringing some beachwear cuz either you’re gonna be waiting for a table for a while or after you eat, you can make the most out of already having parked and spend some time on the beach. Now onto the food… It’s good, but also costs a pretty penny! Don’t be too sticker-shocked, because the portions are ENORMOUS. Overall, there’s nothing to write home about. The food is fresh, but if a cold seafood platter costs $ 35, one would hope that what’s included is top-quality. Service is friendly but food does come out kind of slow. Super beachy décor… reminds me a lot of Dukes… Tips: Munch on peanuts while you wait for your table. Get ready for lots of food/sharing. Parking for all day beach access is $ 35 weekdays, $ 50 weekend…

Strangely and unbeknownst to me when we happens upon this spot, it’s actually quite a historic place and locals come here often. It’s expensive as hell but the food is quite solid, there’s lots of it, the service is friendly and the location is right on the beach(which is rare in Malibu because of the coastline). If you don’t mind spending a little extra, this is a great place to stop and eat while you’re traveling up and down the PCH. Beware that parking is available for $ 6 and that you must ask your server to validate your ticket(otherwise it’s much more expensive as the lot is also used for beach access).

I loved this venue! There was a lot of people waiting but the wait wasn’t as long as we thought it would be. We were told 45 to an hour, so we found great spots to sit on the chairs facing the beach. Got myself a mini pre-tan and one of those pretty drinks with the popping bobas in them! I think we only waited for 30⁄35 mins or less and our table was ready. I think the wait seemed shorter too because it was such a nice relaxing setting. It was just my BF and we ordered the hot sampler and the cold sampler! The waiter warned us it was a lot of food, but we couldn’t compromise. Lol I can’t tell you he was right! I wish we would of brought a couple friends to share the food with! I wasn’t a big fan of the hot sampler because I didn’t want fried food. I took a small bite of the ribs and they were delicious. The cold sampler was my go to, I wish there were oysters but I forgot to ask about them. The service was there and we took our time and ate our food. They deserve a four for good customer service, the perfect laid back beach ambiance. This was a nice place to spend time at. The other guests were pleasant too.

This is one of the most touristy places in Malibu but as a local I also enjoy coming here. I mean who doesn’t like Drinks on the beach? There are wooden chairs that are first come first serve and you are able to get bottles of wine or beer from the store. There are also cabana beds that are available for rental. The food here is delicious from the lobster bisque, giant calamari appetizer that would seriously feed 20 and also comes with fries. Another favorite of mine is the bbq shrimp quesadilla. It’s big and amazing. Full of shrimp and flavor. I enjoy many of their special frozen drinks including the special boba cocktails, coconut rum is my favorite. Also love the cocktail that actually comes in a coconut. It’s not as much to drink but it sure is tasty. This place is always busy and the inside restaurant is pretty loud. The service is just ok. Sometimes you wait a long time for the good and other times it can be quick. The servers seem to be over worked and struggle to keep a smile. The bar tender however is great. Don’t be turned away due to the parking prices as if you get your ticket validated it lowers the cost significantly. The beach out from here is beautiful. If you want to escape some of the touristy crowd bring your beach bag and towels and after you eat head down the beach towards the cliffs. All in all this place makes for a wonderful all inclusive day.

This has been our family’s go to place for clam chowder and calamari, especially if we happen to be in Malibu area. I was here with my family last Saturday and I was a little disappointed. For the last couple of years, their service has been slacking. For example, I waited for 30 minutes just to get my to-go Clam chowder and Calamari, considering it wasn’t a busy night(compared to what I’ve experienced prior). It was also disappointing that you cannot take your cocktail drink outside to drink by the beach, but it’s okay to take your beer or wine. I understand that they don’t allow cocktail drinks, possibly, because they don’t want to lose their glasses. However, I think it would be awesome to have a to-go glass(disposable maybe?) so that people who doesn’t/can’t drink beer(like myself) or not in the mood for wine(like myself) would enjoy their Calamari and Clam Chowder with their favorite glass of Piña Colada(my favorite). By the way, their Calamari and Clam Chowder are the best in the west side. The clam chowder is super thick in consistency, very creamy and flavorful. The Calamari is chewy but soft(and it comes with fries!!). I also highly recommend the Tuna Ahi Salad. As I stated in the paragraph above, their Piña Colada is my favorite. I dislike any coconut flavor in my drinks or food but Paradise Cove makes Piña Colada with light amount of coconut and more on the pineapple flavor. Servings are pretty big and good to share.

Beautiful beach, tropical drinks to enjoy at your towel, and fun restaurant with in-sand dining definitely fit the name: Paradise Cove. Unfortunately the food and high prices bring down it’s ranking for me. Food leaves something to be desired; though, if you like seafood, they have quite the impressive selection. Despite a high ranking in the menu, my tacos were only so-so. The meat was barbecued and slathered in BBQ sauce, which seemed weird paired with the standard Mexican toppings. Guacamole and sour cream portions were huge, but it only came with a tablespoonful of beans and no cheese. I started with the spicy, Mexican corn. It was definitely spicy, but it lacked the flavor and true preparation of real Mexican corn. The parmesan cheese was baked on and there was no cream or lime juice. I enjoyed my meal and the great setting — despite the crowds of tourists and locals with their rambunctious offspring — but it just wasn’t worth the high price tag. Corn was $ 10, tacos were $ 22. Parking on the other hand was a surprisingly cheap $ 6 after validation. If you don’t eat at the restaurant or stay longer than four hours, it jumps to a whopping $ 40.

I was trying to figure out why is this spot so low rated on Unilocal? If you’re not from Malibu & aren’t too high class, you’ll enjoy this place just for the heck of the paradise experience! Private parking that you can validate at the restaurant for $ 6+. If you’re parking just for the beach it’s $ 40. Might as well eat & take a breath of fresh air for the view. Walked in, asked for a table for 2, & experienced eating outside. You’re at the beach so get your feet in the sand a little while enjoying some food & drinks! Waiter was super mellow, kind, & great customer service. There’s a menu for the food & drinks & let me tell you, these portions are HUGE! So huge that you better come here hungry! Ordered the tacos & went for 2 fish tacos &1 shrimp. You can choose a combo of 3 different tacos for $ 21+ & the lobster tacos you only have to order by itself for $ 29+. Portion plate was the size of a placemat with sides of salsa, beans, guac, sour cream, & rice. My verdict? I finished it all because the tacos were the size of my palm. It was adding the sides what made it huge. Great tasting fresh tacos! My girl friend ordered the clam chowder that was the size of a large bowl & a decent appetizer sized plate of shrimp grilled cheese sandwiches. My verdict off of her letting me taste parts of her plates? The clam chowder was perfect. It had either shrimp or lobster bites inside, I couldn’t tell but it sure added a good tasty surprise to the soup. The sandwiches I wish to demand these to be bigger because shrimp & cheese is such a good combo! Finished eating? Go out towards the beach where their chairs are all together. Sit down, relax, & enjoy the sound of the ocean. Some spots are reserved though, but since we only came to eat & validate our parking, we didn’t stay long. Great for photos. There is a reason why it’s called«paradise» the entire restaurant gives you that feel of being on an island. I’m not from Malibu, so this was fun to experience. I definitely wouldn’t go here every week unless I choose to be a member, but the prices here are pretty $$$ but they fit the portions. Plus the food does come out fresh. Definitely coming back to bring friend(s) who haven’t gotten a taste of Malibu.

Übrigens ich musste gucken, dass ich meine Corona selbst aufmache, da mir der Verkäufer sagte: ohhh its not the prise for me to open it! ich musste soooooo lachen.
