Needed a refreshing drink before heading out on the PCH again, so stopped at a really nice shopping center that had a Coffee Been & Tea Leaf. I came at the right time since there was no wait and I was able to order immediately. I chose to get one of their iced blended drinks since it seemed ideal for the somewhat muggy day ahead of us. The black forest drink was my selection because it isn’t a flavor I see at coffee shops. The guy who made my drink was super friendly and even game me a glass of water to-go. The drink itself was really, really tasty! I liked the cherry flavor mixed with the chocolate and coffee flavors. I would definitely stop at this shopping center again just so that I can grab a drink at this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf location.

I’ve been to many CBTL’s and this might be the smallest one I’ve ever seen. There are literally 2 tables inside and if people sit at them it gets cramped really fast. That being said I really like the friendly employees who smile and are polite. The holiday drinks seemed to taste better this year for some reason. Maybe its because I’m sick of their other big chain competitors with the same seasonal drinks in those ridiculous red holiday cups… You know who I’m talking about.

Super nice workers! & loved loved loved the winter Dream latte. WOW I definitely will be back. I have to say it beat my Starbucks chai tea latte.

This place is very relaxing and I love to hang out here. I visit two or three times a week. I’m not a very big spender– a English Breakfast Tea Latte does it for me. ;) The tea is good, the atmosphere appeals to me and it’s a nice place to take a break. I’m going to be a regular for quite some time.

9 months later… nothing has changed. The worst ever! One again the girl behind the counter was gabbing to a friend /customer and messed up my order. Sad, I can’t go to the CB&T in my neighborhood. They still suck!!!

This is the smallest CBTL I have ever been to! There were only about 2 tables inside and several outside. There were only two workers working at the time so it was pretty busy for them. Despite all of this, I enjoyed my drink! I can never go wrong with my iced tea on a hot day!

This location was pretty small and the service was okay. The baristas were nice and trying to get things done in a timely manner, however, a customer ordered about 10 or so drinks and came back to the barista stating that there was too much sugar in drink and that it needed to be remade. Ehh tourists, but the barista was nice to us after all those many orders and apologized to us for the wait. The inside area didn’t have too much to sit but it is Malibu so why not sit outside.

I like the coffee about as good as Starbucks’ but the service here is awful. It just took 20 minutes to get an iced coffee.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Coffee Bean!!! I ordered a Large Mocha Coffee Iced Latte. Server was super cool, he recommended this, I told him CB is way superior to Starbucks. I got my drink right away. Initially, I sat inside, but I LOVE sitting next to the fire pits outside despite the freezing temperature & freezing drink I ordered. Perfect for working & studying AND chilling to the lounge relaxing music and having a blast! =) I will definitely frequent this location due to the excellent service!!! Too bad it is only open until 8:00PM. =( My only wish is that it were open until 10:00PM and had the circular fire pits. Other than that, this location is THEBEST for Coffee Bean that I have ever experienced. I can’t wait to return again on a regular basis… Tonight was freezing & I LOVE the low key vibe of this place… BIGTHANKYOU to the tall barista who helped served me tonight~~~~You ARESOAWESOME =) The music played is very lounge & relaxing… I LOVE the simple vibe to this place and Country Mart is just a lovely place to be…

An upscale«Coffee Bean» if there ever was one, and a favorite of mine because of it. Location, location, location. That would be the Malibu Country Mart. Speedy staff, terrific patio that gets hit with that immaculate afternoon sunglow, great items as usual. #pithy

Spent the weekend in Malibu and Coffee Bean became our first stop every morning. Great little spot to sit and enjoy a latte, cool little boutiques all around too… my wife loves this place!

Had iced coffee here recently. It tasted like cardboard that had been repeatedly defecated on by a hobo who eats only paint chips. Terrible.

Can’t go wrong with Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. I grew up in Malibu and this is a great place to grab a coffee drink. This is at the park, which is a very central place to be. This is convenient for when you’re walking around the shops, or after eating at one of the restaurants. Also, the outside seating area is a good place to meet people on a sunny day. I didn’t realize it, but they have tables inside now, which is nice, but it does tend to be a bit noisy(good place to wait for your coffee, anyway). Anyway, good solid coffee place, Malibu local-approved.

Ordering a latte here goes something like this: Barista: «Hello what can I get started for you?» me: «a large latte» Barista: «what kind?» me: «what kinds do you have?» Barista: «vanilla, hazelnuts, almond, iced, hot, to go, to stay in, whole milk, 2%, skim, soy, almond milk» me: «well you have all the bases covered don’t you?» Barista: «yes we do» silence… me: «ok I’ll have a large latte» somehow I got it in a to go cup, 2%(milk I think), and it was hot… I would never have thought I would grow to appreciate Starbucks speak… «venti, whole milk latte to go» g

I’m all about consistency and that’s why I really like coming to this Coffee Bean in particular. My drink never disappoints and is exactly the same no matter the barrista. I also appreciate how the employees at the CBTL make a point to remember my name and my drink(sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, and they’re always glad you came). If this CBTL is good enough for Superman then it’s plenty good for me(I’ve seen Dean Cain hear a couple of times)!

When Laura D wanted a latte as soon as we pulled into the Malibu Country Mart, I made sure to beeline for The Coffee Bean, and not Starbucks! What can I say — I’m a Coffee Bean kinda girl: D They had a pitcher of their Irish Breakfast Tea and cups for self-serve samples, and they also put out a doggie bowl full of Milkbones labeled«For Your Furry Friend». Cute! Service was fast and friendly, and we were back out the door and onward in the blink of an eye. I love the Country Mart area, so I’ll definitely be back!

I wanted a coffee and Lucy Y. was agreeable to stopping at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in the Malibu Country Mart. It was pretty mobbed, and the patio outside was full.(There was the cutest little teddy bear dog, wish I got a photo of him.) Got a double shot café latte, which was pretty good, not as tasty as the one I get at Starbucks but still, when you gotta have caffeine, you gotta have caffeine.
