The food at Christopher’s is a hit or a miss, and it’s overcrowded almost every night of the week which is annoying. [Not to mention that it draws huge crowds of families, which is unfortunate if you’re trying to have a relaxing night and loud kids are everywhere.] This isn’t because their food is above average, but more so because it’s the only ‘high end’ restaurant located conveniently close to Malvern’s shops and bars. This allows them to hike up drinks [with only a splash of booze] and apps at an average of $ 11. Some of the waitstaff is very friendly and attentive, while others are young and inexperienced and always fail to provide timely drink refills. Some dishes taste fresh, like their Mediterranean salad. Others are bland and can even be a little nauseating because of how tasteless they are. Every time I’ve gotten the chicken caesar wrap, the dressing has been watery, sparse and tasteless, and the crispy chicken wrap tasted like dry fried chicken on a flavorless tortilla — my stomach turns thinking about it. The appetizers are average; the quesadillas [my go-to healthier choice] look like they’re thrown together in a flash. I recommend that more of their apps are healthier, as the majority of them are doused in grease. Fried mozzarella sticks, fried polenta, deep fried calamari, fried avocado, potato skins… is anything not fried? The only true healthy option is the ahi tuna. So, unless I really can’t find anywhere else to go to get a salad, I’ll stop in here.(That is, if I can actually get a table before 8PM!)

Bases on other reviews it aeems we caught the restaurant on an off night. Stopped in here Memorial Day, tried to order a beer but it never came, by the time I realized it wasn’t coming I just didn’t bother to remind the server. My wife decided to order just an appetizer and picked an avocado appetizer that, when it arrive, had an odd combination of Mexican apices and Italian cheese. I got the bbq platter, which was a small amount of decent pulled pork with three awful, burnt and over cooked ribs and two over cooked, crispy chicken wings, both over seasoned. This was accompanied by dry cornbread. We didn’t get a lot of attention from our server so the overall experience was pretty bad. I’m guessing it as just a bad night but first impressions are important and since we can’t recommend anything we had we won’t be back anytime soon.

Took colleague to lunch for her birthday, we liked it so much we went back the following week. Large menu good for adults and kids alike. I have never gone here for dinner, but I noticed there was a bar, so it may be a cool place to visit after work!

Went to Christopher’s tonight. Planned on dinner. Bar was crowded along with restaurant. Children with sippy cups seated at bar. Apparently new policy is a wait list also for bar… Not grab an empty seat as before. We will not be back. Volume of restaurant very loud. Food does NOT merit wait or lack of service. I am certain that mgmnt does not care… lots of other choices!

Food was good and it’s a nice environment but I have to say the service wasn’t stellar. We had to wait almost 10 minutes to have our waiter approach us to get our drinks another 10 to get the drinks and almost 45 minutes to have the waiter take our order. I’d really like to give it 5 starts but taking 2+ hours to eat dinner isn’t my kind of thing.

Love Christopher’s! Curry mussels are delicious and have a nice kick to them. My son loves their Mac n cheese(it is good!) BLT wrap for lunch … loaded with bacon!

You saved our night… my husband and I went to another local establishment, Alba’s, that had such great reviews. it was our anniversary and we were hugely disappointed there. We came to Christopher A’s after and it really salvaged our night! the food was very good, excellent customer service with the host and staff even though it was busy,. and my husband got the enjoyable meal he deserved! Since we already ate bread at the other restaurant and a few bites of our meals that were could tolerate at the other place, we selected and shared the Christopher mussels and the grilled salmon. the salmon was cooked perfectly, the mussels uniquely seasoned and delicious! Thank you!

I have been here a few times. Christopher’s is a bright(when the sun is out) and airy place to enjoy a meal with family and friends. The acoustic’s is such that it may be difficult to hear what your dinner companions are saying. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive.

I have been to Christophers three times. While the food is always good, the service has never been top notch. All three times the wait staff seems to be swamped and so sometimes you feel a bit neglected. I went there for dinner with an old friend last night and my dinner was excellent. I had the Blackened Salmon with risotto and mango salsa. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the risotto and mango salsa were a great compliment to the dish. My friend had the tuna steak encrusted with sesame seeds with wasabi mashed potatoes. He said it was very good as well. The prices are a bit high for what you get but the food is always decent. I recommend Christopher’s as long as you don’t have anywhere to go and don’t mind waiting a bit for service and food.

We love this place. It is his second location and he knows what the public wants. Its is very family friendly and everything on the menu seems to be great. Don’t hesitate to order one of the specialty pizzas for a meal. They are very tasty and satisfying. Their brunch is excellent. Try the benedict.

There is something very comfortable about Christopher’s, and the malvern location is a little roomier than the Wayne location. The food is really great, the burrito and the grilled chicken salad are my favorites. But the shrimp with grits appetizer is my husbands favorite.

Very very attentive service! Food was delicious as usual. Even with two big parties they handled it.

A welcome addition to Malvern but they charge extra for gluten free without telling you ! The food was delicious and they had a great Beer/wine selection. They can make almost everything on their menu gluten free. Their gluten free food was good, however they up charged excessively($ 2 for a sandwich bun and $ 5 for pizza.) without putting the additional cost their menu or having their server notify us when we ordered, which caused me to only give 4 stars. Please consider putting the fee on your menu or having the server tell customers when they ask about gluten free items because that really adds up when you have a gluten allergy!

Pretentiousness in the heart of the gleaming metropolis of Malvern, PA. Came in with a couple of tired and hungry kids but they won’t seat us because they want to keep the 2 open tables of 6 for, I’m assuming, is the celebrities that are sure to come in any second. It’s raining, so we will wait and stare at the high school girls who choose who sits and who waits. Waiter was great and the food was great but the need to have to go at it with the manager 2x to sit at an open table makes it overall just ok. Lesson to your manager: on a rainy weeknight, when you see 2 parents come in with 2 small children and they are wet, tired and hungry… And there are open tables… You sit them. You don’t be anal, you don’t educate on the logistics of table management… You sit them.

I liked this place a lot! Really clean trendy kind of spot. They have a nice outdoor seating area that must be perfect on a nice evening. The bar area is nice with about 4 TVs. The food was solid. I had the Blue Cheese Burger. The caramelized onions were good. The burger patty itself was big, but I didn’t find it particularly memorable or exceptionally flavorful. The burger was still pretty good though. The French fries were absolutely perfect! Golden brown, crispy, and slightly salted. The Brussels sprouts were the best I have ever had. The flavor was amazing and they were grilled/charred to perfection! I could literally eat these everyday!

I will admit — we didn’t stick around for dinner. The service was so slow. It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks ordered and another 10 to actually get them. Nothing on the menu seemed appealing, very«vanilla» and nothing that screamed«order me!». We left after one beer because we felt we had waited too long at 8 pm on a Wednesday night. For a Wednesday night it was extremely loud. It was very, shall we say, family-friendly so not exactly a good place for a relaxing drink and adult conversation. We will try it again to see if we can get to ordering the food, but for now this is the rating.

We had a wonderful time at Christopher’s in their new Malvern location. My brother and I stepped in for lunch on Monday, and we were delighted with the service we received as well as the menu! The food was delicious — my brother had the blackened shrimp salad, and I had the chicken quesadilla. When offered the desert menu, my brother said, «Only if you have créme brûlée,» to which our waitress responded, «We sure do!» We got it and it was AMAZING! We are so excited to welcome Christopher’s — A Neighborhood Place to «the Vern,» and we look forward to visiting them again!

Love it for lunch! Food is terrific, staff is amazing. BUT the drawback is the NOISE level. Burgers and salads in particular are delightful and they have many awesome soups. We love their Wayne location so we are thrilled they are now closer. And Wayne is a super dark space and this space is light filled and sleek and cool! The star off is for noise. If the noise level could be dealt with it would be five star all the way

Pizza is great awesome service. Televisions are everywhere. Good price and specials. Pizza is brick oven so it have that charcoal flavor.
