Seriously the best place in mamaroneck to eat. This is my alltime favorite. I have not yet had anything bad. Try the fresh pasta, its to die for. The meats are always cooked perfectly. The staff are frendly, atmosphere is like being at home in your grandmas kitchen, and the chef and owner are so frendly they will come chat on a slow night. If you eat anywhere in this area eat here. And if your not in the area, its worth the drive.

By far one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever eaten at. Everything is prepared fresh to order. Would recommend anything on this menu!!! Also the desserts are great, but the one thing that I look forward to is a Cappuccino prepared by Jeannine, ask for her by name!

the real deal, excellent in every way. the food, the wine. Some dishes are a bit on the expensive side. the Octopus appetizer which tastes great is $ 17, quite a lot for a nice little taste. loved it but probably will not get it again unless I’m feeling especially flush. the main dishes are great, the bolognese pasta is our favorite and even though this place is in Mamaroneck we’ll probably drive there from our new home in Stamford.

Came here on a rainy Friday night and every table was occupied. They don’t take reservations unless it is a party of 6 or more. I was blown away by the friendliness of the staff. The wine choices are plentiful and the food was amazing all around. I had the lobster manicotti which was a yummy homemade pasta sheet filled with juicy lobster meat in a flavorful tomato sauce. It was not stuffed with cheese or any other filler, just quality over quantity. The pork stuffed with spinach and fontina was also cooked very well and a delicious meal. We also shared some desserts to finish off the meal which were also the perfect touch. Perfect Italian spot for authentic food. Each plate was clearly made with love!

Ambiance is minimal but the staff is attentive and friendly. 3 out of 4 dinners where very good. Only the lack luster Carbonara with lobster was disappointing. Appetizers where so so. Very limited desert offerings.

This place is just incredible! No matter what you get you will surely be impressed! Everything is so fresh and so delicious, and the wine selection is excellent. Every time we go there we are never disappointed. I must say that my favorite dessert is the cannoli cream stuff zeppoli. This place is a must, and worth the wait!

I felt compelled to give Fiamma a 5 star review because in the 20+ times I’ve eaten there, my expectations have been exceeded just about every time. I can’t help but laugh when I read through the reviews for this little gem and see 1 star reviews about the wait being too long because the place is too crowded(the restaurant only has 9 tables and is about 700 sq feet) or they were closed Christmas week and you drove«all the way there» from Greenwich. Obviously, since you didn’t eat there because they were closed, the place is garbage. But hey, if it was open you’d have to wait too long and would probably leave so you’d never get to try the food. Both amazing reasons to give a bad review. Now here’s a review from someone who’s actually eaten there many times. The food is stupid good. My father in law is an Italian chef who’s family had a restaurant in the Bronx for 45 years and my wife is probably a better cook than he is. I don’t go out for Italian food because I’m most certainly going to get it better at home. Good thing Fiamma doesn’t serve only traditional Italian cuisine. Dougie and team have some insanely great twists on classical dishes like the lobster manicotti, pappardelle with wild boar ragu, bucatini with grilled octopus, lump crab meat, proscuitto and chick peas. Their wine selection is also pretty sick. try the Ghost Cellars, it’s outstanding. For the throwbacks, they have traditional dishes also like bolognese, carbonara, chicken and veal parm, etc. I don’t now about you but if a place has a long wait, that tells me something. In this case, the wait is most definitely worth it.

This is a lovely neighborhood spot – from the chalkboard menu with ever-changing specials to the chill atmosphere and yummy food, you really can’t wrong. Unless you come primetime on a weekend night expecting to get a table immediately. This place is small, and tables are first-come-first-served, so either show up early or be willing to wait(and there isn’t much standing room). We usually go around 6 p.m., and have never waited very long. The chicken parm is amazing. Service is friendly, if a little slow. Save some room for the zeppoles. So. Good.

This place is always on point. My family, friends and I have been patrons for over 2 years and the food is always consistent. Worthy enough for date night, girls night or a small party. The actual restaurant is a large square room with a standing bar area, and maybe 20 tables and they really did it right in terms of keeping the décor simple, rustic and cohesive with the food they serve. The food is absolutely amazing! Fresh ingredients tastefully prepared and always delish! You know you’re in for it once the bread comes out… crusty and soft, with infused olive oil and butter this could be a meal on its own! Try the fresh pasta Tagliatelle! You won’t be disappointed! The staff is always very attentive and courteous and the chef has greeted us on many occasions. Can’t say enough about this place! Go try it!

Good food terrible service. Appetizer took forever to get to us and then the entrée came an hour later. Not even comped a drink. Get an extra pair of hands in the kitchen.

A fantastic restaurant!!! I have eaten here at least a half dozen times the last couple of years and I have never been disappointed. I love the chicken parmigiana with the light sauce and fresh homemade mozzarella slice melted on top. I would recommend getting there early(no later then 6:15)it’s small and the tables fill up quick.

Loved this place. The food was great. They use quality ingredients and not your everyday run of the mill Italian restaurant. Reading some of the complaints here sound like a bunch of spoiled children complaining about trivia. I’ve eaten at it places that couldn’t come close. Every business has rules and this is how they operate. It seems today everyone is looking for perfection which doesn’t exist at any restaurant. They are a small place and every chair counts so they are limited as to what they can allow. You want abuse go to TarryLodge. Your pasta dish will look like an appetizer. Stop whining have a glass of wine and chill out. Enjoy the homemade pasta. Can’t get that everywhere. We love it.

Finally had dinner there recently, the food was OK, but not great. We tried to go there during Christmas week, but they were closed, and they couldn’t be bothered to have the answering machine point that out, so we had to drive 30 minutes to read the sign«closed for the week» in the window. We tried again, called when we were in the area, the mgr said he had a table available, but refused to hold it for us for 10 minutes to get there… he said«if you hurry you might get the table». Bottom line, ok food and management has a poor attitude towards their customers, this place is so off the list…

Went there last night for dinner. Walked in and they were full and had several couples waiting for tables at the bar. Stood in the doorway for at least 10 minutes until the manager came over and told us how many tables were ahead of us and suggested we go to the bar for a drink while we wait. We stood at the bar for at least 25 minutes before being offered a drink. There were two waitresses going back and forth getting drinks for seated patrons and the manager came by at one point and said«I’ll be with you in just a minute. Maybe more» then never came back to serve us. Finally, the older gentleman(owner?) came behind the bar and asked if we’d been offered a drink. When we responded that we hadn’t, he apologized sincerely and was obviously annoyed with his staff’s lack of service and gave me a heavy pour of my wine. That was the only complaint of the evening. The food was absolutely delicious. This is a great italian restaurant with spectacular food. The staff needs to be better trained, the manager needs to be more service oriented and lose his attitude. I also suggest they illuminate the sign on the door outside as it’s difficult to see at night and add some narrow stools at the bar for the people waiting for a table or to give them the option of eating at the bar. Food gets 5 stars Service gets 3 stars

Tough call rating this one… I had a great bowl of pasta as did everyone at my table. We all ordered different ones and truthfully can’t remember which ones. The clams appetizer was outstanding. What I also remember was that they were out of Chianti so the waitress offers a carafe of 4 glasses poured out of liter bottles — huh? There were barely 3. The salads were so small I thought they had split a side salad. The bus boy was so rude and busy trying to take dishes away before food was done, I had to ask that he not come back to the table until I asked. So what do you do? Lots of places serve great italian food in the area. As long as these other two issues are present — I would recommend going somewhere else. By the way… it is the loudest restaurant I have ever been in… just warning you in case you want to hear your own conversation.

The food here is downright sexy! I don’t often go to Mamaroneck for Italian food but when I do I prefer Fiamma. If you expect to walk in and get a table don’t bother showing up, for those who know, know it’s worth the wait! The quality of the homemade pasta is outstanding the sauces are perfect and the service is impeccable! You will not be rushed out of your table if you’ve finished everything on your plate.

I went there last night to celebrate my birthday with friends. I had made a reservation for six of us(that is the minimum for reservations) but then two of them cancelled last minute. The food was excellent, however they ran out of what I wanted to order. The waiter was very sweet and warm. Now for the bad stuff: one of the head people who worked there, maybe an owner, kept giving me dirty looks all night because I had made a reservation and only ended up with four people. It’s not my fault people cancelled. And another thing — I had to wait a HALFHOUR for my table, even with a reservation because they had other patrons. The guy who kept giving me dirty looks bought me a glass of wine since I had to wait, and then made me pay for it at the end of the night. WHAT A SHAME! I won’t be back.
