Went to get my hair and makeup done for an event. They did the hair perfectly and tailored it to exactly I wanted. Additionally, the hairspray they used made my hair soft and shiny as opposed to hard and sticky, and my hairstyle stayed put all night and even a bit into the next day. Unfortunately they get –2 stars because of their makeup. If you don’t have white skin, they don’t have good foundation for you, and use primer which is too light and made my face look ultra pale. The makeup artist put on the foundation quite blotchily, did my eyeliner messily, and put too much blush on. Despite caking on my foundation I could still see some of my hyper pigmentation on my skin– I mean, they don’t know how to properly conceal or do foundation AT ALL. I had showed her a photograph of what I wanted but she made my makeup look nothing like it. If you are a fan of more natural looking makeup please don’t get it done here. The artist can only do makeup of one style and does not cater to the type of makeup you want. Also– they only let you see the finished makeup look in the mirror! They don’t give you a handheld mirror or tell you what they are doing so by time you are done with your makeup it is too late to change it if you don’t like it. I ended up washing the makeup off and reapplying my own as soon as I got home– what a waste :(

I have been a customer at Glo for cut and color for about 2 years. I had been looking for «the stylist» foreverrrr. I don’t know what I without them!
Today was my wedding day and of course I had my favorite ladies lined up for my big day. Catherine did my hair. (she did an amazing color change months before… red to blonde… she is genius really and I am never disappointed) and Heather did my make up.
Everyone was complimenting how gorgeous my hair looked and how nice my make up came out! I am beyond happy with the services I get from Glo every time.

Glo Beauty Bar in Mamaroneck is the place to go. Been going there for over a year now. I have been to many different salons in Westchester County, but ever since I went to Glo I cannot go anywhere else. I’ve gotten my make up done there on several occasions (by different artists) Everytime, I leave feeling like a movie star! I have oily sensitive skin, but they have all kinds of make up to make sure you get what you need/​want. The make up always lasts all day/​night long! The atmosphere is fun and the team there is knowledgable and experienced.
I go to get my hair cut by Catherine. The first time I went my hair was a mess with different colors and I wanted to go blonde. Catherine is a wiz at using Olaplex. She was able to lighten my very dark hair safely. My hair was so much softer after the Olaplex treatment too. After being blonde for a while I wanted to back to my dark hair and went to Glo with a picture of my mother’s hair. She matched my hair to exactly what I asked for. She is a genius! I also got my very long hair cut to shoulder length and she did a phenomenal job.
If you need a great hair salon to go to some where in Westchester county, you got to go to Glo’s!

I went to Glo 3 weeks ago after getting a bad perm. Had a consultation with the owner Heather and she had Catherine give me a olaplex treatment that made a world of difference for my damaged hair. Catherine explained how the treatment works. I went back again last week for a haircut with Catherine and I am very happy with cut. I plan on going back next week for another olaplex treatment — it helped so much! Everyone was friendly and the service was great, I plan on being a continuous customer at Glo.

How is it possible I haven’t written a review about Glo yet?! In one word, they are «fabulous»! It all started in 2013 when Heather did a beautiful job on the makeup for my wedding. My bridesmaids and I received compliments all night. Not only is Heather talented in her work, but she’s so fun to be around! She kept me calm and had my bridesmaids and I smiling and laughing all morning! Love her!
I’ve since then used Glo for other services as well– hair cuts, blow outs, makeup, brow waxing. Every time I leave there feeling great. Heather, Catherine, Kristina and the lovely ladies at Glo are so much fun and very talented! I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

There’s no better place to begin than to say that the service, product and staff are the best… hands down. I have used many salons in the Westchester area and none of them can hold a flame to Glo. The makeup services are better than I’ve ever experienced; whether you need a fresh face for a night out on the town or a full face for a special event, the team at Glo is where you want to go. The makeup lasts through hours of dancing, mingling and greeting… I’ve never experienced such quality and expertise. I have also had my hair done on several occasions-​whether it’s a basic cut color or wash and dry, I have been highly satisfied and felt like a new woman. I most recently had an amazing color done which included fashion purple and violet coloring… AMAZING! I have never received more compliments on my hair!!!

If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. I started going to this gem of a place about 2 years ago and will not step foot in another hair salon. It’s a great experience from the minute you step foot in the door. Everyone is so polite and professional. Heather, the Owner is amazing! Victoria, Marissa, Catherine and Kristina are all very talented! You girls all rock! They all listen to what you want and all do a fabulous job.
I went in to color my hair with Catherine last summer for the first time in ages and couldn’t be happier. The color was on point. Katherine has cut and styled my hair several times now and always does a wonderful job.
I highly recommend this place for all your hair and make-​up needs. You cannot go wrong and the prices are reasonable for the location. Can’t wait to schedule my next appointment!

As a girl with naturally crazy curly hair, it was a HUGE relief to finally find a salon that knows how to handle it. I always walk out of Glo more than satisfied with the experience and my new look — highlights and cut are always beyond my expectations. The staff is so friendly and they take care of you from the second you walk in the door. Highly recommended!

Kristina helped me with get the man-​cut I wanted with scissors, versus the typical barbershop cut. She was friendly and the staff was attentive, the shampoo was good, and I was seen promptly. The place is spacious and comfortable.

I came to Glo last month for a blow-​out with Catherine. She did a great job, and really listened to what I was looking for (I’m NOT a fan of hairspray and really wanted a natural look, which is not something that salons always appreciate). She was lovely and personable, chatty but not over-​the-​top. The space is small, but clean and set up smartly.
Happy with my experience, I decided to book a haircut appointment. I’ve been needing to find a new salon closer to Mamaroneck, and this place is literally up the street from my house. Catherine recommended that I see Kristina, and I did, last weekend. I LOVE the cut she gave me! Like Catherine, Kristina really listened to what I asked for. I’m a wash-​and-​go girl, and really need a haircut that accommodates that (especially now that I have a 10-​month-​old). I also had a pretty specific idea of what I wanted, which Kristina took into account but she also made great suggestions of her own. The cut looked great when I left the salon (as a cut always does), but more importantly, it totally passed the how-​does-​it-​look-​after-​a-​shower test.
I will absolutely be back to see Kristina again (I’ve already made my next appointment). So happy to have found a new salon that is around the corner.

I first came across Glo when I was doing extensive research for a wedding hair stylist. Luckily, after a few emails between Heather and myself, I found out that Catherine and Marissa would be available to do hair for myself and 8 others on my wedding day.
I had to have two trials with Catherine to decide on the style that I wanted. I really appreciated her professionalism and patience with my indecisiveness. She works quickly and efficiently — you can tell she really know what she is doing. On the day of the wedding, the girls arrived right on time and worked great together. Both Marissa and Catherine were just amazing and all of the girls (5 bridesmaids, mom, mom-​in-​law, aunt, and myself) were very happy with their hairstyles. We got lots of compliments!
Since then, my mom and I have made Glo our go-​to hair salon even though neither of us live nearby. We both still go to Catherine and I don’t see myself straying from her anytime soon. She is a colorist and my mom swears by her. Also, from the first time I met her, I shared with her my concern of my slowly dying hair from all of the daily straightening I did to my hair. Thanks to her tips, my hair looks and feels the best it has in years!

I was excited to try this place out. It is very cute. Local. Convenient.
I was impressed by the owner as she is very professional (something that is often lacking in hair salons).
I had my make up done for an event.
Here is what I can say. She didnt do it for me BUT I think it is bc I like my make up done a very specific way. Normally I just go to a MAC Pro store but for the sake of saving myself that trip I decided to try this place.
This is a good place if you are looking for a «nature look», maybe a prom or sweet 16. I wouldn’t really consider this place for my wedding or a bigger night out.
I ended up taking everything off but the eye make up (which my liner wasn’t even and I wasn’t too happy about that bc she should have noticed it) and redoing everything else.
At the end of the day, what she did, I could have done myself. I was looking for the extra skills that I don’t have.
It was worth a try. I would recommend this place but only for certain «looks».

Just got a great cut from Kristina. Salon is adorable and very reasonably priced. I loved how products were recommended for me to use but they were products I could easily find in CVS – no up selling. I will definitely be back!

Heather is amazing! I would recommend Heather and the staff at Glo beauty bar to anyone in need of any makeup services whether it’s bridal makeup, bridal shower, or just a night out! Heather and her staff are extremely professional and are excellent at what they do! My makeup stayed flawless all day for over twelve hours. I plan on using Glo again for all of my upcoming events. I cannot recommend them enough! Thank you Heather!

Beautiful blow outs by Catherine. Service is great & friendly. Lovely place to have your hair blown out. Catherine really takes her time making sure you get the blow out you want. Excellent job!

Wish I had found this place sooner; I’ve come for 2 haircuts and plan to get my partial highlights touched up here next.
Salon is adorable and employees are all very friendly.
I am not a «hair» person so I prefer to let the stylists take charge and run with what they think will look best within my basic guidelines ie how much I want trimmed, etc. Kristina has done a fantastic job for both cuts.

Heather and her team were an absolute dream to work with. I first met Heather last year when I did a makeup trial for the wedding. She did an amazing job — the makeup was subtle and light (exactly what I wanted) but really played up the features on my face. I wound up going to Heather for a few other events over the past year (bachelorette, bridal shower, etc) and every visit was impeccable.
On the day of, Heather brought a makeup assistant and a hair assistant (to help with some of the blow drys). Each person was incredibly professional and did a great job. I had Heather stay for the day through my ceremony to do touch ups (we had started taking photos much earlier) but I barely needed them. My makeup stayed on perfectly and there really was no need to touch up.
I can’t recommend Heather and her team enough. We had an amazing experience and she would be a perfect addition to any wedding or event.

I got my color done here a few weeks ago. Catherine did amazing job! The place has a nice atmosphere and the people who work here are all very nice and welcoming! I am excited to go back for make up next time I have an event. I saw a girl getting an updo also while I was there and it looked gorgeous! These girls are really talented!
