Food is good but Do NOT order delivery from here! The driver did not speak a word of English and kept hanging up on me when I tried to let him know he was at the wrong house. In the end someone from the restaurant was conferenced in and were yelling at one another while I tried to instruct them how to get to our place. I will say though that the food is very delicious so either pick it up or eat in.

Absolutely worst Chinese restaurant ever, and I haven’t even gone inside the restaurant. Both times I’ve had their food was ordered for delivery. First time: I ordered sweet and sour chicken. Fried wontons and chicken fried rice. The lady in the phone can barely speak English and struggled to take down my address. Finally got that squared away, and then it took literally an hour to get my food. The place is about 8 minutes away. The delivery guy barely speaks English so it was hard to talk to him about where my food was. Finally after an hour I got my food, and it wasn’t very warm, clearly been sitting there for a while. It tasted very bland, the chicken in the rice tastes like paper. Fried wontons were very hard to chew. And sweet and sour chicken was waaay to greasy. Shouldn’t have ordered from there ever again. However I BELIVE in second chances. Second time: just as bad. Food tasted worse and service was just as bad. Very poor establishment.

This place is really pretty awful. The good: I ordered online from them and the delivery was really quick. I did enjoy the spare ribs. The bad: What is up with bad sesame noodles? These were the worst ones i have ever had. They came as a bland, sticky blob of noodles with horribly thick brown cold sauce slopped on top. They didn’t even bother to toss the noodles in the sauce. How I miss Hunan Cottage in NYC! The egg roll was about a 2 out of 5 but at least it was hot. Everything else was over sauced with a sauce that is WAY too sweet. Will not be ordering from them again. Oh and stay away from the crab Rangoon. While I am embarrassed that I even ordered them, they were the pits. Totally stale and tepid. Ugh. Guess I have to continue to drive to Flushing for decent Chinese or make it myself.

I moved from Brooklyn to Rye for work for a few months. I went from being able to go down the block and get chinese take-out to not being able to get ANY sort of delivery whatsoever. If I wanted to grab dinner, I’d have to drive at least 2 — 3 miles into Mamaroneck or Portchester to get food. So, with that said, the review of Great Wall 2. Typical take-out restaurant. There’s more seats inside if you want to dine in. It’s located within a group of other shops in the area, and street parking is available. Décor: Pretty clean compared to other take-out places I’ve been to. I haven’t dined in, so I can’t say much about it. Food: Pretty good overall. I’m a huge fan of general tso chicken(I mean, who isn’t?) and overall, it’s pretty good. I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve ever had, but 4⁄5 good. Overall: It’s a pretty good takeout place. The only downside is their price. For a combo meal I end up paying something like $ 15 which is absurd. In brooklyn I end up paying $ 5.25 for the same meal.

Ordered Sm bbq spare ribs on the bone $ 7.25. Take-out expectations for bbq spare ribs, usually you get 3 – 4 really nice pieces and the rest bad pieces. I received one meaty piece and the rest was basically bones with red sauce. The rice was dry and flavorless. First and last time I go there.

Worst Chinese food I ever had. Ordered online, the confirmation email said it would take them 30 – 45 minutes. They came after an hour and a half. I would have been willing to forgive them had the food been good but it was really bad. Everything was bland, greasy and just not tasty. The Chinese food in Westchester isn’t great in general but this place was really the worst.

My family and I have eaten here several times and we like it a lot. The restaurant is clean and well-lit and the family that manages it is very polite. The portions are ample and tastey. The food is not too oily as can be the case sometimes with Chinese. We’ll be back!

Yuck! This place was awful! I have never had Chinese take-out that was so disgusting. All the items were way over-deep fried with tons of oil. It was like drinking an OILSLURPEE… and I’m pretty sure I ordered the kung pao chicken.

It’s hard if not impossible to find a good Chinese restaurant in Westchester. This place is at best a take-out joint, with food catering to the American palate(i.e. not authentic; even the owners won’t eat food on their own menu. Really.). They do have a few tables but I wouldn’t call it a restaurant. The fried rice has a strange variety that’s fluffy and bland, and too low of a heat resulted in a dish that’s soggy with oil. The Singapore meifun was also greasy but that seems to be the standard with generic take-out places. The shrimps are gutted, however, something that many Chinese take-out places don’t seem to do. They also don’t seem to use MSG, something they claim and taste to be true. They also deliver. Other than that, I think it’d be a stretch to call this a good restaurant. However, if you are hungry and want some Chinese, they do have some standard take-out menus with expected quality, and prices that are on par with the rest of Westchester: higher than most places in the City.

I’ve had chinese food from pretty much every restaurant in the scarsdale/new rochelle/larchmont/mamaroneck area, and I really think Great Wall 2 has the best food of them all. The actual restaurant is a tiny and typical looking, which is the only reason they get a 4 out of 5 rating.
