Smashburger

Unfortunately this place has been a huge disappointment more so than not.
Online ordering is definitely NOT the way to go. Either they forget something on your order or you go to pick it up and wait 45 minutes because they forgot. fool me thrice, I’m an idiot for going back… Lesson has now been learned

The place was dirty. The girl at the counter was mean. The burger wasn’t anything special. Plus they don’t serve beer anymore… unless the girl just said that to be a b.i.t.c.h

Place is eh. Been there when it opened and was a great experience. Now it’s just a bunch of kids who work there and nobody seems to have any sense of how to run a restaurant. Seemed like a good alternative to five guys or shake shack but as time passed its proved to be no comparison. Surprised it’s still open.

An okay Smash burger. The staff can be friendly when they want too. Usually can find a spot to sit but when they are packed good luck finding a spot. The food is pretty good. Wish the location was at a better spot but oh well. I would recommend going if you’re hungry for some smash burger

Not good. I wish it was better, but it isn’t. You will walk out with a lump in your stomach regretting you ever walked in.

We love the burgers, fries, salads and shakes here but the place has a big problem — it is ALWAYS a mess. There are always tables that haven’t been cleared off. The floors always have garbage on them. The tables and condiments are usually greasy. It’s shocking how long Unilocal reviewers have been saying this and management has yet to find a solution. I would rather see this place use the standard fast food plastic trays and lose the baskets if it would mean people would throw away their garbage. I think this place is trying to be better than the standard fast food joint and it’s backfiring.

I’ve attempted to order a mushroom cheeseburger here 3 times. Each time I said no onions. And each and every time they put onions.

The food here is actually really good. However the execution is truly terrible. There’s like seven or eight people working. But for some reason it always takes 20 minutes to get food.

Ahhhhmmmaaazzzinnnngg! We went here starving after wanderlust108 in Brooklyn. Sooooo hit the spot after a long run and yoga class! I got the grilled chicken with spinach, tomato cucumber and goat cheese and i got the truffle mayo on the side to add to it with the skinny fries. Oh my how I love skinng fries!!! I somehow feel I can indulge with no guilt when they are tiny like that. Ok back to the sandwich; totally delish and on multigrain bread!!! Yuuuuuummmmmm!!! It felt super healthy and just what I needed. I got the grilled chick per reccomendation of the cashier (who was nice). So grateful for the recco! And the goat cheese was abundant as well as the fresh veggies! Thank you! So why 4 stars you ask? Well there was whip on the milkshake which she didnt ask if i wanted and I haaaatteee whip! She took it off for me and returned my shake with a good bit of it low instead of adding more shake. And the shake was just ok nothin to write home about. But if i am ever passin through again I would definately stop in for some food and grab dessert elsewhere.

SO GOOD. Smashburger is definitely in my top 5 best burgers I’ve ever had after enjoying their Truffle Mushroom Burger (beef patty, truffle mayo, cremini mushrooms and swiss cheese). Just filling enough for someone who doesn’t each a ton anyway. Fries were average, but the burger was amazing!

The food is tasty, the staff is friendly and hard working. Unfortunately the place is very understaffed.
The few employees were working very hard but could not keep up with orders and table clearing. This has been a problem several times we have visited over the past year, and is not an isolated incident.
Management/​ownership should hire an extra person or two. It’s not fair to their current staff or customers at the current level.

When you are extremely hungry and you have a long ride back to the Bronx from white plains something has to fill you up and by impulse I stopped by smashburger to get a good meal in.
Man their burgers are really good and the fries was tasty. Makes me want to get off the bus more often when passing through mamaroneck

Best Cobb salad I’ve tasted ever. The place was clean. The staff was friendly.

Terrible fries. Oversalted beyond belief. This is coming from a guy that likes really salty french fries. Next time I’ll press my luck with fried pickles instead.

Way over priced. Painfully slow at the register. $ 8.25 for a cheese burger and root beer, no fries… what?

Much like the other Smashburger locationsat which I have dined, this location is a nice spot if you’re in the mood for a good burge… chicken sandwich. I’ve tried several varieties of each and have enjoyed them all. Beware the raw jalapenos — if you dare order them — as they do give you a nice burn. Ability to customize your sandwich with a variety of quality items is a big plus. Chicken tenders, too, are decent.
The shakes, too, are delicious and the various side dishes are tasty as well. Limited soda selection but that’s not why I go to a burger joint anyway.
I don’t have any particular complaints about this spot but I would warn that parking can be a challenge sometimes… esp. in the summertime, when everyone is out and about. It’s all metered parking on the street and you can’t make any u-​turns on this stretch of Mamaroneck Ave. A little patience and willingness to walk a couple of blocks and you should be fine.

The Smash fries and the Bacon Cheeseburger are to die for!!!
I’d recommend this joint to anybody.
Almost forget to mention the friendly and attentive staff!

Usually this place would get around 3, 3.5 stars for food quality when you factor in the price and the product. This place has went downhill. Though they used to, the smash fries don’t taste any different than their regular fries. Only difference is the price.
Anyways, they got my burger COMPLETELY wrong tonight. Didn’t notice til I got home, sat down to eat it and realized I couldn’t. I ordered their BBQ bacon cheeseburger (exactly what it sounds like plus «frizzled onions») and added a fried egg. What I got was a cheeseburger with bacon, RAW ONION, PICKLES, MUSTARD, and KETCHUP. No BBQ sauce, no frizzled onions. I despise those ingredients, and am ALLERGIC to mustard, so my burger was totally ruined. And, of course, the smash fries I paid for tasted totally PLAIN.
Really disappointed! The customer service was just fine and I’m sure if I called I would get an lovely apology but that doesn’t even come close to making up for this $ 10.50 crap.
Please get your sh*t together, smash burger. Ugh.

Almost died on the way to see your wedding florist? Your rental car company isn’t returning your call after u blew out your tire? Stay calm and have a burger.
My fiancé and I stayed inside this Smashburger location as he fought on the phone with 5 different Hertz reps. He never let me worry about these things so instead he fed me a burger + fries and kept me happy with me a refillable fountain soda cup. 2 hr wait? ain’t no thing. The staff was accommodating enough to let me just hang out to stay warm while my fiancé paced back and forth from the restaurant to the car.
We got the large spicy Baja burger and sweet potato smash fries. Loved the bread for the burger and the avocado spread. The jalapeños pieces weren’t too overwhelming and gave the burger just the right amount of heat. The patty was juicy (and def greasy) but I thought the taste was a bit off. Five Guys still wins for my personal fav fatty burger. The smash fries were soaked in olive oil, rosemary and minced garlic. My fiancé wasn’t a big fan (the seasoning was overpowering) and I thought the amount of olive oil was an overkill — enough to leave my fries soggy. Should have stuck to regular sweet potato fries instead.
Overall a legit burger chain that has some interesting menu items. Probably won’t trek all the way to Brooklyn to try the rest of the menu but definitely did its job in keeping my belly calm and happy.

For fast food, this is pretty good. I have to admit, I don’t normally eat stuff like this, but Smashburger delivered with a pretty bitchin’ veggie burger and I’ve got no complaints. The fries were pretty tasty too.
I see folks here complaining about a teenage staff and calorie-​counting, but Really? Smashburger is technically a fast food joint. I found the mostly teenage staff to be super friendly and the place was spotless. I’m also partial to places that offer vegetarian options and my spicy bean burger (sans cheese & mayo) arrived on a tasty grilled bun with fresh lettuce, tomato, guacamole, and really hot jalapenos. I’m not sure how many calories the thing came out to, but who actually cares? This isn’t the Farmers Market, nor is it a Weight Watchers meeting. Proceed accordingly.
