Fish tacos were really delicious. The menu is interesting as I have never seen lasagna and tacos on the same menu in a small joint so I was skeptical; however this place was a great find. Food was fresh and the tacos were authentic. This place is a must do if you are visiting the mammoth area.

I will probably give DK another chance but our visit was just OK this time. The BBQ was no frills but delicious, the Mexican food was decent. The menu confused us, which usually doesn’t happen. I didn’t feel it was outstanding, but I’d like to try their other meals. I ordered the Chile Relleno plate. While it wasn’t delicious, I give DK a solid«A» on it because: it was edible, it was not terrible, and they use real chiles(the stem was still on it) and not canned ones, and it wasn’t eggy. This is a HUGE deal. Chile Rellenos are usually horrific at restaurants, and usually not edible. This was the first time I’ve ever been able to actually eat one and enjoy it. Though it was pretty bland, I don’t blame them — getting a good spicy chile is like roulette, so I just got unlucky. They also use the usual cotija cheese which doesn’t melt well and doesn’t have much flavor. This is how they are usually made so I wasn’t upset about it.(My family uses jack cheese which melts easily and has more flavor IMHO) So, all in all, the chile rellenos are LEGIT and AUTHENTIC. The beans and rice I found to be pretty bland, but they were wax beans and some kind of rice I was not used to or expecting(it was a pale salmon color instead of orange). I personally didn’t care for it, but depending on which region your favorite Mexican food comes from, you might like it more. My dad originally wanted the taco plate. The assumption is that they would be fried hard shell tacos, but they are actually soft tacos. My dad asked if they could make it a crispy taco and they said no, even though the tortillas they used were corn. This was a bit weird. Instead, my dad got the ribs and chicken. The meat was perfect and practically fell off the bone in your mouth. They were very juicy and tender. They were no frills, but we weren’t really expecting that. It probably could have used some more BBQ sauce but still pretty good. Service was ok. Be prepared for no refills on drinks though as most soft drinks are sold in bottles. The menu also needs some clarification: hard vs soft tacos, and the«tostada salad.» My mom got the tostada salad and the waiter asked if she wanted a tostada or the salad. She assumed that the salad would be in a tostada bowl but it was actually just a salad, so this was weird. I can see a lot of people getting confused by this. The actual restaurant setting is pretty drab right now — about 6 tables and it looks like a cafeteria. With all of the great ratings they are receiving, I imagine they will renovate or move to a better location in the future once they establish strong cashflow. Still, it’s good to see some life in this mall. This is a local family business and I hope they continue to thrive!

Great food!!! Super fresh and a large menu. Anything from the smoker is fantastic. The décor could be better. When they get the beer and wine set up this will be a favorite spot.

This was my first visit to Delicious Kitchen. I ordered the chicken tostada salad. It was great! Very fresh and the chicken was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back to try some of the other entrees on the menu. Restaurants have a difficult time in Mammoth. I hope this one will be around for a long time! The very next night my husband and I had dinner. We ordered the Chile Relleno and the Chicken Tostada dinners. The portions are generous and everything was great! Our server Edgar was very pleasant.

found my lunch place in mammoth!!! I had the pork tamales and homemade chili. The Tamale was AMAZING. It wasn’t too expensive but because there were two tamales, I had one for lunch and one for a 3pm snack. The servers were very nice. I ordered to-go, and asked if I can come back after shopping across the street at the Vons. When I came back, the server had seen me coming and pulled out my food for me. Will love to come back next time I’m in town.

Best breakfast in Mammoth. Atmosphere is ok, patio seating is nice. Server is awesome, extremely helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was awesome. I had the huevos rancheros. Coffee is good. Hot chocolate is good(& there are refills.) service is a little slow, but nothing you couldn’t live with. It’s absolutely worth the wait.

Based on the wonderful reviews this place got, we went over and were a bit disappointed. The food was okay, but there was not a great atmosphere in the restaurant, it was rather a cold place(both in terms of temperature as well as furniture).

Was visiting Mammoth for the weekend, saw on Unilocal that this place was good. Food was so-so. Had carne asada tacos w/rice, meat was super soft but tasted a little weird. Rice was really good though, no complaints. Boyfriend had tamales w/beans and rice. It was horrible. Beans tasted like overdue milk. Highly not recommend. The girl who was taking orders didn’t have the best customer service skills but she was okay, no complaints. Overall, we won’t be eating here anymore.

Recently in Mammoth, this is a family run restaurant in a mini mall, so don’t let the location fool you. The chefs know what they are doing here and crank out some awesome food, and on a slow day you can pretty much get breakfast at anytime, so those long party nights when you oversleep but can’t start your day with a club sandwich, this is your place. And as soon as I saw chilaquiles on the menu they had a lifetime customer. Service was great although it was slow at the time. Plenty of great Barbeque options here for a very reasonable price, I hope on my next trip back I will be sampling those options.

This is a very casual little place with decent prices and good food. My husband had the chili and loved it. I went for a salad, and it was a big portion and really fresh. We came late afternoon, after skiing but before dinner time, so it was very quiet with only two other tables. I recommend this place.

Great friendly service. I had the ½ BBQ chicken with mashed potatoes. –chicken was tender and came off the bone with just a fork. Potatoes had a good garlic flavor.(They smoke the meat here. Good stuff!) My daughter had chile relleno. –on point with a smokey mild green chile, not eggy, and a tasty sauce. Plates came out In a matter of minutes. Will def be back! Good stuff happening here.

It was my first time in Mammoth. Before going snowboarding i wanted a nice breakfast. One thing i have to say: After having breakfast here i couldn’t go somewhere else. The huevos rancheros is really good and a gluten free option. Fair prices and high quality. It’s a family owned restaurant and all of them that work there are really nice and attentive. They really care about their quality of service and food. The restaurant is simple, nothing fancy but it’s cozy. On my last day in town my husband and I decided to have dinner there. We were suspecting that that was going to be a good choice after having so many nice breakfasts. Man, It was f%$#&* delicious. Long time since I had a meal like this. I was so happy eating. Of course I over ate. I couldn’t stop myself. We ordered the combo with smoked ribs and chicken + the smoked brisket(with mashed potatoes and veggies) My husband suggests the combo. I suggest the brisket.(i trust more my opinion) PS — The night before we went to Angels because my husband said that the last time he was in Mammoth that was a great place for ribs. Those ribs were nothing compared to Delicious Kitchen ribs: P Turns out that the pit-master from Angels now is one of the owners/chefs of Delicious Kitchen.

This place is legit and has a ton of stuff on the menu. Mexican food. Breakfast food. Bbq. Corn fritters! Sandwiches and salad. Everything! Great little spot for residents. Good food. Variety. Tourists think it’s weird(yay!) Homemade desserts that are on the specials board. Service is awesome and friendly, and thoughtful. I said no pepper on my egg sandwich and the waitress returned to suggest I change my side since the breakfast potatoes are already seasoned when prepped. Get the corn fritters! Everything is good. Can’t wait for summer when I’m really wanting bbq. Yay for small local places!

This new spot in town is a small diner with an eclectic menu consisting mostly of BBQ entrees and Mexican food dishes. The ambiance feels as though you’re eating at someone’s house with food they’ve prepared for you. My experience was decidedly average, but a little less than I was expecting for ‘dining out’. This place is probably a good option if you want a quick lunch or an easy dinner alternative to cooking at home. The restaurant was empty when I arrived at 6pm for dinner. I was the only dinner customer, but I’ve heard that it’s more popular during lunch time. Jalapeño corn fritters were awesome, but could have been a little crispier. The tortilla chips w/green salsa before the meal was a little unique. The Beef Brisket entrée left something to be desired. I like the mashed potatoes & gravy, but the veggies were a bit undercooked, and the meat & au jus was not super flavorful. I wasn’t a huge fan of the BBQ sauce on the table(the ‘spicy’ was not spicy, and the ‘regular’ was extremely sweet). I doubt I’ll be back, but if I am, it would most likely be for a cheap, quick meal.

Great little hole in the wall! Food is solid. Big portions. Family run. Prices are low. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Hot chocolate is fantastic and REFILLABLE!!! Great place for a solid meal on a cold day. We came for a late lunch but the next table over was still enjoying their late breakfast and that looked amazing as well. The chef and owner came out to great us as well. Friendly guy with great hopes for his little restaurant in a small tourist town.

This little hidden gem is worth a visit for their BBQ ribs and brisket. The natural smoke flavor and tenderness of the meat is delicious. Get beans in the side and if you’re lucky, their spaghetti squash. Pretty sure that comes off the grill too. Yum! Couple things to note, there are only 5 or 6 tables so hopefully you’re just lucky or pick up and take out. Portions are good for the price. Couple of minor downsides are the boxed mash potatoes and their Tri Tip has great flavor but it’s a really thick cut, which makes it a bit chewy. Not what we’re used to. All in all, definitely worth a stop when you’re in Mammoth!
