I enjoy coming here for a book and a bite to eat. I wish they sold better music, though.

Dopes. New book on their website lists for $ 17.20. In store price came out to $ 22.10. They don’t price match their own website. I don’t expect them to match , but not even their own site? That’s a nice, quick way to speed the inevitable trip down the toilet.

I love this place. I don’t always make a purchase when I’m here, however the staff is always friendly, polite and I always feel relaxed, comfortable and welcome whenever I’m in this store. The store is clean, well-lit, organized, stocked with a HUGE selection of books, magazines, DVDs and more. My interest is mainly for the books. I especially love history, fantasy, science fiction and adventure paperbacks. I’m an atheist, so I don’t go to church, but I get that same feeling of peace and contentment at excellent bookstores as Christians do when they’re in a large, welcoming church.

Ahh. Nothing like the smell of books. The one downside of technology these days. Sometimes I come here just to find my zen.

I like this book store. I don’t love it. The size and selection is great. The prices aren’t so great.

With the wifi hot spot I’m able to get work done in a great comfy location. One of the great things also is that they open at 9am. Most places don’t open before 10 so I’m able to get things done early in the morning before heading off to work. Love the Starbucks that’s attached because I get myself a tastey strawberry and bannana smoothie and get to work

With Borders Books going down the tubes — this is now the closest large bookstore to where I live in Haymarket. There is something very comforting about a clean, well-stocked bookstore. They have a pretty good selection here and the staff has always been helpful in assisting me with finding where specific books live in the store. There is of course a coffee shop inside this B&N — so you can relax, grab some caffeine, and enjoy your book(s). I love the smells of books, wood, and coffee — all together, a great combo!

With Borders gone, Barnes & Noble is pretty much about it for brick-and-mortar big book stores these days, and the Manassas store is very good. Their inventory is small in certain areas compared to other B&N stores(movies and fashion, for example), but on the other hand you can order what’s missing through the store or and pick it up. The DVD selection is quite good, better than Best Buy’s actually.

I spend an hour or more in here sometimes. A great place to grab a coffee and read. Good selection. Amusing novelties. And yes i’ve seen the nook. You needn’t ask me each time i come in. If i want a nook i will find you, sir.

Looks like your typical B&N which means I could stay in there forever, especially now that Borders is no more(sigh). Extra star for the guy at the front desk. He was enthusiastic and helpful on my Nook without making me feel like the dinosaur I am. Also gave me a very good recommendation on this month’s 99-cent novel …“The Black Echo”…well-written police fiction, nice and gritty. I’m enjoying this one a lot!

A bookstore in Manassas? Who knew Manassas residents knew how to read? I kid! I kid! The layout of this B&N is similar to other single level store. The best part of this store is that it’s not inside a mall which lessens the crazy crowds and messy nature of mall located bookstores. For the kids, there is a Thomas table and trains to enjoy. If you’re ever in Manassas and feel like you need to regain some of your ed-ju-mah-cated brains back, stop by this B&N for a quick book break. Your brain cells with thank you. Yee-haw!

Clean store, well organized. Plenty big. Café has been very tidy, but I usually arrive just after opening. Staff is friendly and helpful. Stationary section is somewhat lacking. Limited selection on pens and pencils, and no erasers, but we are here to read books not write them, right?

Good selection. Prices are steep though. But they seem to have more ‘sales’ than Borders. I often get emails with 50% off coupons. There is a Starbucks inside for all you Starbucks lovers(yuck!). The lounge area is nice too. It’s a nice bookstore that is usually empty. It’s quiet and spacious as well.

This Barnes & Noble is nice because it’s usually not very crowded. The only drawback is that they’re only open until 10PM most days of the week. Definitely one of my favorite places to relax!
