The only vegetarian option is mozzarella sticks. Nothing else can be made vegetarian because everything here is pre-made. Plus, the waitress had to apologize to us because«no one in the kitchen knows what they are doing so it’s gonna take a while.» Just what I want to hear… the kitchen staff has no idea what they’re doing. There’s a dirty tablet full of pay-to-play games on the table. There’s also a camera on it for some reason and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a mic. [Update — there was — on the left side] Our waitress was nice and fun, but some of the staff was anything but friendly. These are not people I trust to prepare food for me. The only reason I’m here is because Nana got me a huge gift card for Christmas. I won’t even come back to use the rest of the gift card. You’re better off going to a local spot or buying frozen food and microwaving it yourself. – Update — the waitress just came by and said«Are you laughing at our kitchen? It’s a joke back there». Yum…

The service was terrible and the food was mediocre. Our server came by three times… to take our order… deliver our drinks… and eventually to deliver receipt all while she was at the opposite end of the restaurant mingling with her coworkers. There were about 6 tables that had customers… not busy at all. The spinach artichoke dip was good but the 4 cheese Mac with honey chicken tenders was atrocious. They poured about a cup of honey on top of the Mac and cheese and it was not tasty. We would have voiced our displeasure with the food had the server actually came to check on us. I gave her a 10% tip which was far too gracious.

Horrible service! I’m not too sure where to begin. I sat down and the bartender was prompt and offered me a drink special so I said sure why not and got a margarita. It was super sour and was hard to swallow. After about ten minutes I was asked if I wanted a menu… Ah yea. Finally 15 min later I was asked what I wanted. I wasnt informed of any specials so then proceeded to order two appetizers and specifically asked if one could be with out cilantro. I can’t stand cilantro like CANTSTANDIT. She said absolutely we can do it with out cilantro. I got my food in about 5 minutes and it was covered in cilantro. Covered! I tried to get her attention but she was hanging out at the end of the bar for over 20 minutes talking to some girl seated at the bar. I had to grab utensils from some table and ask a server to grab me a water. After about 25 minutes I scrapped the cilantro off and tried to eat it. 40 minutes now had gone by and I barely touched my food. I finally flagged her down, looking annoyed she said do u want a box. And threw the to go boxes at me. Is this real life! The GM was just sitting at a table hanging out, looking at the two other people in the restaurant. Couldn’t be bothered to get up and check on patrons. 25 minutes later I’m waiting for the check to just leave and go someplace else because I am starving. I wasnt going to wait another 40 minutes to get her attention, clearly the only other person, her friend at the end of the bar was way more important than her job. I just left money and left. Horrible!!!

I was surprised how decent the food was. Never a big fan, but figured I’d give them a try again. Steak was tender and cooked to my prefence. Great baked potato. Good service.

This place is awful. I’m not sure if it is all Applebee’s or just this location. The food was inedible. It was cold and obviously not kept within the correct temperatures to avoid bacteria growth. Myself and the 4 children I thought with me got sick after eating. And even if it was some coincidental virus, which I highly doubt, the service was even worse. The waiter never even brought half of the drinks, or asked how anything was. I would have told him it was awful. Then he didn’t even bring us our check. After sitting there for 20 minutes I realized you can pay on the tablet they put on the tables.

I would give this place a 1 star rating, however I will give it an extra star because I have had okay experience with it in the past. It is a chain restaurant, so the food is almost 100% frozen as far as I can tell. If you like to always know what to expect this is generally true. The reason I would really give it a one star rating is the last time we ordered take out from here we both had some serious lower stomach issues despite the fact that we ate very different dishes. Our kids who did not eat with us did not have that experience, so we do not believe it was a virus, we are quite sure it was some sort of bacteria related issue and therefore no longer trust this place. I do not recommend based on that.

OMG talk about horrible food and service. I had to wait over 20 mins for a lunch special that consisted of a salad and a wrap. The waitress never even returned to my table to see if I liked it or if I needed anything. She only had two tables to wait on. Will not be going back.

I have previously disliked Applebees. In fact, I’ve called them Crapplebees on numerous occassions. In the past I had experienced cold food, slow service and rude staff. But our friends insist on going here for late night munchies because of the ½ price apps and decent drinks. So our most recent experience was this past Saturday night. 11pm we wander in with our friends. When taking drink orders I asked the waitress«Do you guys do the Firey Apple? You know, the Angry Orchard with a shot of Fireball in it?» The waitress said«of course!» and jots it down. She returns with a bottle of Angry Orchard and a small glass with a shot of Fireball in it and a second empty frosty glass so I can mix it myself, apparently. Fine. I mixed it, I drank it, I loved it, as usual. However, when the bill arrived it seemed high. Upon inspection we saw that I was charged the normal $ 5 for the Angry Orchard but the shot of Fireball was nearly $ 9! So essentially I paid almost $ 15 for one drink. That was more than the frozen mudslide my girlfriend got. My husband decided to say something and that of course brought the manager over to inquire what the problem was. Instead of bending or being the least bit understanding he decided to basically tell us that when HE goes out it cost that much for a drink like that. So instead of arguing with the manager which obviously wasn’t going to get us anywhere my husband just put cash in the managers hand and said«you know what, I don’t even care since clearly you don’t.» The manager walked away and that was it. So once again here we go back to calling it Crapplebees. Next time we’ll just head out to a better establishment on Elm Street where I’ll pay less for my drink, it’ll be mixed FOR me and the food’ll be better, too.

For a Friday night it wasn’t all the busy. We were at a table as soon as we came it. I wanted the shrimp on the menu, but they had to go and get more. It was going to be over 20 minutes before the employee go back with it. The pasta I ordered was ok, but not want I wanted. The server, keep looking at me to OK what my boy fried was ordering… Really, he was paying if he wants 3 appetizers they bring them. I don’t have to approve what he wants. His steak was also OK. If you are on the road, what to know what to expect, but for a local, I“ll pass on this place next time.

Went there for lunch. Wasn’t too hungry so ordered the Brew Pub Pretzels & Beer Cheese Dip. OMG, what a surprise. They gave me 4 foot long hot pretzels coated in salt, hot pepper flakes and garlic. The dip was melted cheddar mixed with Blue Moon beer. Yummy in my Tummy. Now let’s talk service. The bartender(Gail) was great and attentive. A couple of guys next to me were raving about her and the manager, said they ate at the Derry location and had horrible service. They actually had me use my iPad so they could leave a favorable survey, very impressed.

We stopped in to Applebee’s for lunch on our way back from a morning of skiing. The lunch menu had a number of soup/salad/pasta combinations. The menu choices were typical of what you would expect for this type of restaurant chain. The food was good. We normally swing off the highway in Manchester around exit 4. There’s a number of burger and sub restaurants right off the highway. This time we decided to try something different.

Chain restaurant, no surprises. Food is okay, good for the price. All of their ingredients come from the chain’s suppliers, so the dishes are identical in any Applebees. I found the wait staff to be really pleasant and courteous, meals were prepared quickly and as ordered. For example, I had the 7oz sirloin medium, and it was medium. One thing I wanted to mention concerns food allergies. The staff were all VERY nice and would have been helpful had the store any options to give us. This is no fault to them, which is why I am giving four stars, but I want to share it as a shortcoming for the chain itself. Food allergies are becoming increasingly important for restaurants to be aware of, and this chain seems slow on that road. Let me detail, in case someone can find this useful: My wife has an a gluten allergy and a corn allergy. They have no allergen info on menus. Upon entering, the host gave us a binder with photocopied papers in it, turned to page ten which was the«gluten free» page. So she couldn’t even use a menu, to see photos or read descriptions to know what these things actually were(an appetizer? a full dinner?), but that wasn’t horrible. They did not have listings for corn allergies. Our waitress asked out back and the manager said there is exactly one item she could have that is gluten and corn free: a plain side salad with no dressing. Yikes! We eat at casual dining restaurants often and we’ve never had such a restriction from her allergies. For example, we asked if she could have just a baked potato with butter. Reasonable, right? It’s often her go-to if we end up at a restaurant that doesn’t attend to food allergies. Well guess what? They roll their baked potatoes in corn oil before baking and they use margarine and not butter. Yikes. Plain side salad for $ 5 it is. If no one in your party has food allergies, it’s a nice restaurant — good price, courteous staff, comfortable setting.

Applebees is a chain restaurant so the food will always be sub par. Wait staff and gift cards are the only reason I will go to them. The waitress that makes this location worth it is Darby. Upon entering ask if she is working and you will be well taken care of.
