K & T Nail’s & Hair Salon

I go to this place pretty regularly. I always request Tien as he is a perfectionist in a french shellac. It will always hold up for over 2 weeks. I’ve also heard Katie is good. I go out of my way to go up here. They aren’t much for pampering but I’m ok with that.

Wow, I’m surprised by all of the negative reviews. I’ve always gotten a good manicure or pedicure at K & T, and I’ve been going there for several years now. I can’t speak to the performance of all of the nail techs, as I always go to «Anne», but my experience has always been positive. You can’t beat the price. It is a quick pedicure, but that works for me as I like getting in and out quickly. I have had pedicures in other salons where my heels were tender due to excessive abrasion, so at K & T they may not always be perfectly smooth, but certainly adequate. When I leave my nails always look great.

Not a good place. Plenty of other options out there. They have no idea what they’re doing and doesn’t seem like they care.

Not very thorough with pedicures. Felt like they rushed through it. Callous on my foot was still rough. Not very personable and no one talks to you and they’re very rough.

One word: rough. If you don’t mind having your feet and hands pushed and smacked around, this is your place. Or I guess if you do acrylics (is that a Manchester thing?)
The pedicure was done by a young man who evidently hates feet, but at least didn’t smudge like the manicure. I asked for my finger nails to be cut, but instead she opted to file down to my requested length, not enjoyable.
The one star is for the special they were running, mani pedi for $ 35. I intended to tip because I’m not heartless, but not before I was REMINDED to do so!

This place totally screwed up my nails. I had acrylics put on and they drilled the crap out of my nails, even after I asked if they could not use a drill (I work in a hair salon so I know they don’t HAVE TO use a drill, it’s just sheer laziness.) After three days, two of the nails fell off, and I went back and they told me that I would be CHARGED for the nails! WTF? Never heard of that… especially after a few days of them being on! After a few weeks of the nails growing out, I soaked them off with acetone and my nails had serious drill lines and my nails were so soft and wouldn’t grow well. I wouldn’t go back and the only saving grace was that the place was quite clean and they had tons of options for colors. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t go back!

I was really sad when I had to stop coming here. I used to get pink & white here ALL THE TIME, was in every week for fills, and you would think you would get top notch service being a repeat customer. Not the case. My first pink & white was great and it cost less than a salon down the road because they will buff your nail and save the added cost of gel top layer. The more I went, the less happy I was, bubbles in my acrylic, yellowing of the product, lifting too early, inattentiveness from my tech. The last straw was 3 days after a re-​apply I have 2 nails crack off and they CHARGED me for the fix, after forgetting about me sitting in acetone while they attended to other clients. Never again. You may save some money on your initial services but you’ll pay more going back more often for fixes. Oh yea! And I would book appointments, only to come in and they would have given it to someone else or just forgot to put me in the book. Ugh.

Great place. The staff isn’t always personable but if you’re looking for a new best friend — go pay $ 60 at a high end salon. For the price, this place can’t be beat.

I am ashamed to say I tried this place again this weekend and had a worse experience than the first time. Bad attitude, bad service, gloppy nail polish, and $ 15 for the experience… coming from Boston I can get better manis ANYWHERE and for cheaper.
Don’t go here. This place is anything but excellent. They should shut down.

Excellent nail salon. They also do pedicures, waxes, etc. and they are very affordable and bend over backwards for their customers.
I highly recommend them.
