2÷7÷16− 9pm– Male waiter was very rude, complained of making us ice cream which was the only thing we went for in the first place. Noticed one styrofoam cup was leaking. To our surprise, there was not one, but two breaks in it that were«sealed» with none other than SCOTCHTAPE. MMMMM, yummy tape adhesive. Its called get another cup…

Great roller skate service. Fast and friendly. Had double bacon cheeseburger, corn dog, breakfast burrito, and bbq popcorn chicken. I like going to sonic. Will be back.

Where to start, I have been here a few times, but first time I reviewed it. I have had all the different dog combinations. I like the cheezy bacon pretzel or the Coney the best. The one complaint I have is in the ice cream department. I prefer Chocolate ice cream and I always get vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce to change the color. I have asked if they have chocolate ice cream and Im always told yes but then I get the vanilla combination. Its a very small complaint so not a biggie, Im still coming back. GETCHOCOLATEICECREAM…

Great service, good prices, unfortunately, I shit my pants about 20 mins after I eat anything on the menu. It feels like hot lava most of the time too, and the smell is harsh and brutal enough to make anyone puke. I just wish the foot long coney island chillie cheese dog didn’t make my body feel like my dog after I beat the shit out of him or shitting all over the rug.

Pull into a slot order from your car window and the Waitstaff comes out with your food on rollarskates or blades. Love the Ocean Water drink… it’s pretty tasty. Tots are better than the fries. Burgers are decent when you need something quick. They have tons of different drinks to choose from sodas, slushes & milkshakes. Milkshakes are nice and thick too! So if you want to try something a little different and not have to get out of your car you might want to give this place a try. Although it does get pretty hot in your car on a sunny day and could get messy.

My friends spontaneously came to Sonic after we saw that BURGERFI was closed. Womp. But this was my opportunity to have a quintessential suburban experience! Seeing our waitress come out on roller skates is definitely the most fun part of the experience. I know eating in one’s own car is also part of the experience, but that does not appeal to me at all.(Crumbs!) We ate in the outdoor seating to the side of the building, which did the trick! The pretzel dog was a bit disappointing; the pretzel part was not very pretzel-y and a golden color versus brown.(I know it’s «just a hot dog,» but I know my pretzel buns!) The strawberry shake had great strawberry chunks in it, though. Plus, they’re half price after 8!

This particular Sonic has an organization and/or management problem. I’ve given the place 3 attempts to win me over as a customer. After today I will never go back. I was 4th in line at the drive through waited 10 minutes for one car to pull up to the order board, waited another 5 minutes for that car to pull up. At which point my car was no longer stuck in line I pulled out and left after giving another 5 minutes. 20 minutes total. The worst part was when we circled back on the main road the same truck was still waiting to order.

The chili dogs were mind blowing until I got my shake and chicken nuggs. Now let me tell you. I found a big a big ol hair in my shake and the nuggs were dry as the moehabi. I will go back to sonic cause that chili was great and the dog but the other stuff I am not a fan. STICKTOTHECHILIDOG!

It is said that the sign of mental illness is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. I keep coming back here, expecting to get good, or even tolerable service… but each time I am disappointed. Last night, on my way home from work, I had a craving for a hot fudge milkshake, something I’ve never seen anywhere but Sonic. I entered the drive-thru line immediately behind someone who just got to the speaker. There was already a car at the window. It took them over 5 minutes to take the order of the person ahead of me, who had a total of only $ 20.(Most of that was asking the person to wait, because the ONLY drive-thru employee was doing orders, money, and drink making by herself). When it was my turn to the window, I was ignored for over a minute until I called out into the speaker a couple of times. I placed my order, proceeded ahead… and waited behind those 2 cars… because that first car was STILL at the window, and was for over 12 minutes that I witnessed. Then, the car ahead of me finally pulls up, and it takes another 5 minutes for her order. When I get to the window, I have to wait over a minute to even be greeted because the girl is taking an order. She then gets my money, and THEN finally proceeds to start making my order. No help. At this point, I ask for a manager, who takes forever to arrive, and has the cleanest shirt in the store, because it appears she isn’t doing any actual work. Then again, it’s an 18-year old girl with no visible management skills. I ask for the number for the district manager, and she insists that the store’s phone number is his, which I firmly doubt. ITTOOKMEOVER20MINUTESTOGET A MILKSHAKE. All I can say is, my mental illness is finally cured, and I will not ever be returning to this location. I have had better experiences at other locations(Wappingers Falls, NY is so far my favorite) but any location with the same ownership as this one is likely to be avoided.

Stopped in for a quick lunch last week. There was a long delay to place our order once we hit the red button. Server told us my wife’s meal did not come with tater tots when it did so we ended up with a side order of tater tots in addition to the ones that actually were in her meal. There was only one carhop working at noon which seemed like bad business to us. We did not get straws with our meal. The carhop said she’d be right back with them, but never came back. We had to hit the red order button again and ask for straws

My son and I stopped by here for late night drinks after dinner. The place was mobbed but it only took about 15 min to get thru the drive thru. Our drinks were tasty and the price was great!

I think the food at Sonic is pretty good and I like the old time feel of people bringing out food on roller skates. On cold days I like eating in my warm car. All in all, I like Sonic.

Sweet, a method to get fast food even lazier than drive thru. I’ve always wanted to try Sonic, but never get the opportunity since I live in a real city. Finally, on a drive up to Boston, I knew I had to at least try a couple of things even though I just had dinner. The best part of Sonic is the cool, obesity-building drive-in ordering system. No longer forced to even wait on a line of cars for drive-thru, you just pull into one of the several stalls, which are equipped with a menu board and a microphone/speaker ordering and paying system. You place your order with a very friendly Sonic employee, and then just a few minutes later are greeted by an even friendlier Sonic employee on skates that glides your food over to you. We just got a couple things — Popcorn Chicken and Tots along with a Sonic Blast for dessert. Both food items were pretty standard, and about what you would expect from a fast food joint. I love my sweets though, and I thought the Blast was really great. You can mix in a bunch of different toppings, and we went with Oreo and Butterfinger, which go really well together. This definitely beats a lot of other fast food joints, if not just for the service alone. If you insist on eating some garbage, go here instead of the Wendy’s or other such stuff around here.

Sonic… Enjoy the commercials and wish more fast food places offered tots instead of fries… Outside of that, the novelty of having your food served to your car by roller skating waitress wears off pretty quick and you are left with very standard fast food fare. The road and parking lot setup is also a major hassle. Hopefully you’re coming from 84 and not heading to it… If you’re heading to it, you need to actually drive past Sonic, wait to make a u-turn and head on back… again, for mediocre fast food. Tips: — Get the tots. Those are awesome. — Get the Cherry Limeade… Again…awesome. — Might seem obvious, but stay away from the Chili Cheese Dog if you’re eating there… Thing is huge and impossible to eat in a car without getting chili or cheese sauce on your clothes /car. You might be thinking, «But I’m a sucker for chili and cheese and hotdogs and. Must. Have. Resist the urge, head to the grocery and pickup a package of Nathans, Hormel, and Cheese Whiz. Will taste much better and less mess. You’re welcome.

I’ve only seen commercials for Sonics, and *thought* about going to one, but one hungry night, there stars aligned and it happened. We pulled up into one of the spaces, pondered our order for a while before ordering. — Jalepeno poppers = bomb — Footlong hot dog = didn’t taste like all beef, not so good. — Small soft drink, too much ice. — vanilla shake goodness. — mini burrito lives up to its name, miniiiii. I was upset that our order wasn’t delivered on a *rolllllll* but simply walked up, not cool.

The address of this sonic is incorrect. This Sonic is NOT in TN. I’ll be fixing it as we go. Sonic Drive-Ins came to CT in the past few years. They were highly anticipated(by me, my son, and many we know) as they’ve been purported to have fantastic food and drinks. In fact, the drink selection is pretty amazing. However, I have found that the anticipation of Sonic’s arrival outweighs the actual experience. Last night’s meal, which had to be quick due to another engagement, was an average burger and tater tots. I didn’t completely dislike it, of course, but you’d think the faceless voice in the speaker at the stall would get the order correct. I asked for BBQ sauce on my burger and didn’t get any. And they screwed up my companion’s hot dog by not bringing it out. She had to go to the window to get both the hot dog and the receipt. I ordered a milk shake… which was very thick. But when I say«no whip, please», I expect you to follow that request. Nope… whipped cream piled high. Sigh. To be honest, I don’t know why I keep ordering shakes when I hit Sonic… they’re so think they’re almost undrinkable. I think I pulled a muscle sucking it out of the straw. Very unimpressed this evening, but my son loves the place, so we’ll be back. And I like the limeades, anyway. ;) edited: flushed out details a bit more.

See my Sonic of Wallingford review for my opinions on the food itself. I’ve already gone over that, and frankly, It’s just as two-star as the service I’m about to talk about at the Manchester location. Yeah, it’s basically brand new. But brand new means busy, and busy means waiting. And trust me when I say that the wait times are not consummate with the food received. You can get better food at Wendy’s accross the street, and not wait at a drive thru for 15+ minutes to get it. Maybe Sonic will earn more stars when the crowds start to dissipate.

Blue Coconut Slush with Chocolate. Drive Thru is painfully slow, but thats no different than Wallingford either. Can’t wait til the one in Southington opens, whenever that actually may be.
