Am I in bizarro world? I’m reading all these 5 star reviews of Ameci’s, wondering if I ate the same thing that you guys ate. I may not be a certified food critic, but I know it takes a lot for me to say that something sucks. I will put bbq sauce on my fingers, eat my cuticles, and call it dinner. Not picky at all. As for Ameci’s, I’m sorry but Ameci’s pasta suuuucks. Every time I get it, It’s always watery and bland. Shrimp fradiovolo, clam linguini, everything. I even got the alfredo, thinking, «You can’t fuck up alfredo.» Guess again. I threw in every spice I could find. Still didn’t work. The mozzarella sticks are the tits and I like their cheese balls. And they have great customer service too.

Ok, so last night they made an error,(see my previous review) I still had the craving for a thin crust crispy pizza. I ordered one and a couple of meatball sandwiches. I get the pizza delivered, pay the delivery guy… check the pizza!!! ??? The only crispy part is the outside edge, if u consider being dark colored from being burnt crispy. I call them, they tell me «we did the best we could do»…Wait a minute, I asked if u had a thin crust crispy pizza, you said yes. I ate a piece of pizza, my son took a bite of a piece, I threw the rest in the garbage. This pizza won the award from my house for the worse pizza I ever had. Only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is because the meatball sandwiches were made correctly. I won’t order from this place again. NOTE.best thin crust pizza is Pizza Rev in El Segundo, but they don’t deliver. Next time I want a thin crust, I’ll go there. If I want regular crust, I’ll call Valentinos, which is down the street, and Valentinos has delivery.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time — but I’ve been too busy making myself a regular at this place! This is easily one of my favorite lunch stops before I head in to work. I absolutely LOVE their garlic cheese rolls. They’re gooey and cheesy and, of course, extra garlicky. I often bring them into work and everyone asks me where I get them because they say it smells so good and that they can smell it from the other side of the building! Their pizzas are delicious. They are always loaded with cheese and toppings. I hate it when pizza places get stingy on their toppings. I am happy to say that I’ve never incurred that problem at Ameci. I find that it’s so much easier to call in ahead of time. My order only takes like 10 minutes to make, but I love that I can call it in and by the time I drive over and park outside the restaurant, my order is basically ready! The gentleman who is usually at the front register(I apologize that I do not know your name!) can pretty much anticipate my order and remembers that I prefer ranch instead of marinara sauce! Talk about great customer service! I will certainly be back here soon! I’ve told all my friends at work about this place, it was about time I told all my friends on Unilocal too!

The pizza was pretty typical. No better or worse than pizza from a chain. The pasta was horrible. Overcooked, and yet still dry.

Ameci’s is my new favorite pizza place! The food is absolutely delicious and the price is fair. The employees are EXTREMELY friendly here. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it was hot as hell in there!

If you were like me and passed this place a million times and said to yourself I gotta go there I’m telling you right now go there! The food was some of the best California italian you can get(I’m a new yorker so no matter how hard ya try… and anti pasta is not served on a bed of lettuce in New york anywhere thats a california thing btw) and the delivery service is second to none. The owner is on site to make sure everything goes right and his food is served fast and delicious. The only reservation was the fettuccini alfredo. It can’t be milky ever and it was so If they fix this its my go to for everything not just italian

Tonight while eating my Amecis it dawned on me I have yet to write them a Unilocal review && I have been a faithful customer for 3 years now! So here it goes: I absolutely love this place. Call it an addiction, a problem, whatever-I order delivery from Ameci more than any other restaurant in the South Bay! I can attest to pretty much the entire menu but my go to favorites: all of the pizza is AMAZING, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna and chicken Alfredo both homemade deliciousness. The garlic cheese rolls yesssss! Cheese ravioli. I’ll stop there, it’s all good. I’ve even tried their cheesecake. My boyfriend loves their wings with the spicy sauce. Thank you for years of yummy fast delivery Ameci! We love you for feeding us!

Amici is a solid place to eat. At first I thought it was a run of the mill«meh» type restaurant due to their neighborhood couponing marketing strategy, sort of making them blend in with the masses. The design of the coupons and distribution actually had a reverse impact on me, giving me the impression I should not bother trying it out. I think there’s just too many pizzarias in the South Bay littering the neighborhood with coupon offers, special deals and all sorts of ways to bring in the local residents. Most of the time I think a good restaurant can stand on it’s own reputation, but I do understand there needs to be marketing for brand awareness too. So, one day, I was walking by, without any coupon in hand mind you. I decided to try ‘em out. I enjoyed the food. The prices were okay, and that’s probably where the coupons may come in handy. So, with that… NOW I will actually take notice of their coupons, save them and use them as a soon to be more frequent repeat business customer. Also know that if you pay CASH, you get 5% off the total according to the back side of their«to go» menu. I didn’t now that ’til I read it after I’d ordered already. And if you’re reading this Unilocal review now, also know that if you CHECKIN, you’ll get a 10% discount. Unfortunately, I don’t really«Check In» much of if at all, so didn’t know about this ’til after the fact. You’ll need the Unilocal App on your mobile device to CHECKIN of course. It’s a nice place inside with limited seating, it’s «order at the counter» type service and I think relies heavily on delivery/take out of their pizza and pasta. I tried their pasta and the spaghetti was good as was the meat sauce, and the garlic bread was great. Everything was flavorful and good quality overall. Overall, I’d try this place again, probably venturing to their Pizza’s as the next thing I’d like to try and order. Parking is easy, there’s a lot, and if that gets too crowded, there’s neighborhood street parking in the surrounding neighborhood too.

I got takeout chicken parmigiana and fettuccini and it was super disappointing. The fettuccini was probably the worst I’ve ever had as the flavor was sorely lacking and tasted more like milk water sauce. The parmigiana was better but still mostly just a hunk of melted cheese on top of spaghetti noodles. The service was good and it was fast but I wouldn’t ever go back.

Extra star because I frequented this place growing up. I come here maybe half the time I’m craving pizza. The pizza is good but not the best. Better quality than the standard Pizza Hut or dominos. Prices are a bit higher to match that I suppose. Love the garlic rolls I remember craving them all the time as a kid. I recommend getting the pizza well done because a number of times the pizzas I got seemed chewy and undercooked and the pepperoni was kinda raw… maybe it’s a personal preference but I like my pizza golden and cooked lol.

The food here met my expectations and I have no complaints about that. If I was rating on food alone then I’d give them 4 stars. I’ve ordered from here about 5 times and every single time there is a misunderstanding between prices displayed on their website and prices at the store. It gets quite old having to explain the price I saw on the website and having to get them to honor that every time I order. After the 5th time of having to do this, I’m giving up on this place. The food is OK, but not enough to keep me having to explain myself on the price difference on every order. If you know there is a problem then fix it.

Ameci is literally a no-brainer. The pizza market is saturated with various establishments so it is really tough to pick a go-to spot, but Ameci always hits the spot. I see some of the comments say the pizza is average, but I think that is very subjective depending on the person. The cheese & sauce are tasty and the pizza is consistently cut to the right proportions. For a born and raised So Cal native, the pizza is tasty. I am not too much of a pizza snob anyways as I find that pizza is segregated into various types of style and prestige. I am not huge on fancy pizza nor am I huge on big chains, so this hits the spot perfectly. Ameci also has awesome pasta and salad. The prices are reasonable and they deliver quickly. I will note that sometimes they forget to ask if I would like red peppers and/or parmesan when they deliver it to my place, but are more consistent when I actually go pick up the pizza. For all those pizza snobs out there… get over yourself! This is not Chicago or NY; it is the South Bay! I do agree that Manhattan Pizza is pretty solid, but I would not say it differs so significantly that I would need to switch my go-to spot.

Sorry but far as I’m concerned the food is mediocre at best. You want pizza try Pisano or Manhattan Pizza. The place looks deserted. Food I’ve tried made by someone who was faking it in terms of real Italian flavors and ingredients. Service at the counter by two unfriendly dudes who seem too busy to smile. Try Guiliano’s a block away. Much better. And authentic. My hunch… This place will be turned into a smoking lounge by summer.

I needed some quick spaghetti fix and this place definitely did it. I called in an order and it was ready very quickly. The spaghetti was hot and the meatballs that came with it was very tasty. The staff was friendly. I’ll come back another day for their pizza.

Ameci Italian Kitchen is like Orions Belt … one little, two little, three little stars. The pizza was average. It’s listed as N.Y.-style, but it’s thicker. It’s very similar in texture and taste to a «good» Domino’s pizza. I tried a 6-slice Medium Pizza with half Canadian Bacon/Extra Cheese and half Double Jalapeño. Neither half was half as good as I had hoped. Even less inspiring was an order of dark Fried Mushrooms served with a side of Ranch Dressing. Unlike the pizza, it wasn’t forgettable … no matter how much I try. I literally picked the tiny mushrooms out and left the breading on my plate. It totally wasn’t worth it. So, the food wasn’t very good, but the crew behind the order counter was. All three bright stars are for the 3 guys behind the counter. They were chill and helpful. Every special request was greeted with a smile and helpful hand. If you’re going to eat weak local pizza, you might as well get it from a place like this with cool employees. The small dining area of Ameci does have a TV with sports, but no Beer. Most customers were getting Pizza or Calzone to go. Maybe I’ll try the Calzone to go next time … if there is a next time. It’ll depend on if the stars are aligned again and who’s working the dinner shift.
