Well. Goodbye Fresh & Easy. We will miss you. For those unaware, all Fresh & Easy stores are about to be closed for good. I don’t know when this particular store will be closing, but meanwhile it is no longer open 24 hours in case you are planning to shop here one last time.

Fresh & Easy is a grocery store for somewhat fresh, kind of healthy, prepared food. I say somewhat fresh because, every 5th entrée or so, I get a spoilt one. Like the eggplant is slimy or the hummus is smelly. We used to shop here ALL the time — I appreciated the family parking spot at the front of the lot — until we started noticing the drop in quality. Never could have solely shopped here. Similar to Trader Joe’s, we had to go to a regular grocery store for many of the staples we regularly needed. Flowers are cheap here, particularly before flower intensive holidays like Valentine’s Day. This location has Valentine’s Day down to a science — the location offers a flower ‘drive-thru’ for married men rushing to get flowers after work. Some kind of genius. But let’s be honest, one can only get away with grocery store flowers when married. Girlfriends and mistresses would never put up with that #$!#& Cheap wine is super cheap here. If it beats 2 buck Chuck(which is now $ 3), that’s CHEAP. OK for summer sangria and fancy college kids, I guess.

I loved Fresh & Easy when they first came to So Cal and I found out they were a British company — that explained the cakes with fondant frosting in the bakery and the cans of Heinz Spotted Dick(get your minds out of the gutter, it’s a dessert!). I also enjoyed their store brand of seasonal chocolates that made great Christmas gifts. Their prices were always a little high to me, not bad, but enough that I didn’t go there for a while outside of looking for British foods, until recently when they began staying open 24⁄7 and our local Ralphs started closing at 1am — food runs are important! For those that like to comparison shop, there is a Trader Joe’s about 500 feet away. On my last trip I was happily surprised to find Phở and Filipino foods in the packaged food aisle(!), but the selection of British foods had dwindled… Some of the store brand items are much cheaper than the regular stores — frozen Indian food entrees, cups of tapioca pudding, and selection of soy, coconut and almond milks to name a few items. This location is small — they all are, think a Mini Cooper version of a Ralphs — but has everything a regular supermarket would have, produce section, bakery, frozen foods, and a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf kiosk! Its worth a stop to check out if you are in the area, and definitely one to keep in mind when all the other stores are closed.

Today, I found another foreign object in my chicken. That is correct my fellow shoppers, I said«ANOTHER»(visit my previous review for past experiences). I am either the most unlucky f&e shopper or because I purchase chicken so often, the odds are higher for me to find their quality f*** ups. I often question myself why I continue to give them my money. The struggles in finding lean protein on a budget is real. Make sure you guys inspect your food often before consuming!

Pita bread, a new item on the shelf priced $ 1.48, but scanned as $ 2.29. Guess what? With their price adjustment policy for items $ 3 or less, I got the item for free.

This was my favorite store of all time until it switched owners. I am glad they brought back the clearance sections but it’s still not the same. I do love that the food is very fresh. I also like how the meals are premartinated which gives me courage to attempt cooking things I wouldn’t have tried to make in the past. This store is right by Trader Joes so I still go to both. I love the salads, spinach artichoke dip, marinara, zucchini bread, and dinners here better then Trader Joes. I like the self check out too. It is fast and I have never had to wait. There are a ton of staff around to help you as well.

We miss you F&E!!! We relocated from El Segundo to Oakdale a year ago and your options and prices still can’t be beat. We are now regulars at Save Mart and Raley’s, but they are no comparison to our favorite grocery store. We shopped here for probably 4 plus years or so when we lived in SoCal. I also have to mention a friendly gentleman here named Lane who always made shopping here a little more personal. He took the time to ask us our names, would chat with us about goings on and even gave us hugs when we told him we were moving. He always made us feel welcome everytime we stepped foot into this Manhattan Beach store. Lane, if you are reading this, we still think of you from time to time and we miss running into you on our weekly visits. You are an exemplary role model for all those grocers who are seeking to improve in their work!

This is one of my favorite locations. There is plenty of parking and the store is always clean. They are open 24 hours which makes it great for holiday shopping. I like their selection of sandwiches and lunch items. If I lived closer I would probably buy more groceries here.

OMG a mini Fresh and Easy nestled in the middle of beach houses. While this location doesn’t have the full selection of groceries, there is still a decent selection of the essentials, and plenty of options for grabbing a quick bite to eat.

I stopped here the other day because… well honestly I was on a long drive and needed a restroom. So I was really grateful they had one and it didn’t require me to pay or ask someone for a key and the women’s restroom was clean and well stocked! I also browsed the store and was happy to see their organic eggs. I also love all of their quick and healthy food options for people on the go. Lunch-sized servings of salads, sandwiches and so on. This location is clean and well organized. I would happily shop here again!

Fresh and Easy is one of those stores that you have to really know how to spot the good, unusual and out of the ordinary. Unfortunately that is not my expertise in a food store. One the good side my friend that I was with is excellent at it. The prices seem ordinary for a market. I will be back for some items when I am in the area, in the meantime my friend bought a few items.

Fresh and Easy is a nice store. They have nice products and the store is laid out nicely. This like all the other locations is small, well lit and well stocked. They have a nice big selection of food that’s ready to eat whether you’re havin the lunch or dinner… even a few breakfast items. They also have a nice selection of bread. I’ll a sucker for a fresh loaf of sourdough! The employees are always around, working and being helpful to the customers. It’s never really crowded and you can usually get in a out of the store without any hassle. The best part… it’s next door to BevMo!!! Get some food then go hit up the .5 Cent Wine Sale! PS…Fresh and Easy isn’t cheap so I would suggest shopping here only if they have something specific that you won’t be able to find somewhere else. You will go broke trying to do actually grocery shopping here.

I was a very happy customer until I received an email rejecting my request for a credit of $ 8 which I converted & forgot to use. I requested as a ONETIME only occasion that they please issue me my credit and their response was you previously used your points on the 1st day you converted. NODUH I had a smart phone back then, now I don’t and now because of that they penalized me? I am reconsidering my decision to make this my primary store of preference. I think I will go back to Stater’s were they always greet you with a smile.

It’s worth checking out. They have a lot of great«ready-to-cook» meats that are stuffed and marinated to perfection. Also some good import beers and unique pasta sauces. Yes, it’s smaller than other stores. But it’s still decently priced and a great place to grab a quick dinner to cook up OR to grab food to make if you’re hosting. It’s pretty much a cross between Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. Not a bad thing.

I love Fresh & Easy! They have great salads — I love the Chicken Garden and the Chicken Caesar. I recently bought their lemonade and it’s delicious! I’m also hooked on the jalapeño cheddar bread loaf — YUM! I wish there was one close to to my job as it is a great place to pick up a quick, yummy meal. This location is now 24 hours! Cheap wine and beer!

This was my first experience at a Fresh & Easy location, and while the store is small and planned out well enough to make for an easy shopping experience, there were a few things in their prepared foods section that didn’t look so fresh. The salads? They looked wilty. The veggie skewers? A little sad and shriveled. But luckily I wasn’t here for prepared foods. I was here for one thing only: Celery. What? $ 2.29 each? That’s ridiculous. But I was in a hurry so ended up buying it anyways.
