Visited this salon a few times — was getting my car serviced around the corner and walked in to get my gels taken off and a mani /pedi. The mani didn’t last past the door(I had asked for some of the nails to be fixed bc the paint wasn’t even so instead of fixing they slathered more nail polish on — hence the short shelf life) — frustrated, I went to another nail salon to get them re-painted. The manicurist at the other salon was appalled at my nails bc they were destroyed — completely scratched up and there was still gel polish on both my hands and feet. Clearly, I was not paying attention at this salon. My nails have never looked this bad or damaged after getting gels taken off.

Was very surprised at the super low reviews here. I’ve been going to Tracy for years. She never skimps on time or doing a great job. Always impressed always neat always clean. Massage chairs are the absolute best. Manicurist are much nicer and are not ride like I have experienced in other establishments. Now I can’t give a 5 because although I love Tracy the girl who did my manicure did skimp and I was annoyed. How do you give a manicure Kim and don’t use water??? Not to mention she was super nice and they look nice but don’t skip steps… Especially steps like that. And hot towels do not replace water… Other than that everything was great. Ask for Tracy you will be happy. Her massages are not for girls! Lol but she has a heavy hand. I need that especially because I have shin splints and work on my feet so I like the heavy pressure…

Nail Spa Excel: A nail place that is very average(or even below) that charges too much! I walked in without and appointment and was seated immediately. The salon is pretty big, 8 or so pedicure seats to the side and 5 tables in the middle for nails. The salon is also littered with nail technicians. There were so many of them that I’m sure you never have to wait to get your nails done! Anyway, doesn’t sound bad yet huh? Then keep reading. Honestly they don’t do an all that terrible of a job, but I’ve definitely had way better in comparison to what they’re charging. They charged me $ 38 for a french tip gel manicure and flower décor. When I asked for flowers, I did not mean just using the dotting tool to give me a few dots, but that’s what they gave me. I mean come on, really? I can do that myself! Though I really wasn’t in the mood to complain, I was really tired/stressed and I was looking forward to a good manicure session. And guess what? I was wrong! The massage was barely a massage, more like lotion rub. There was no pressure or force. The manicure was average. The technician didn’t want to socialize or entertain you, I was literally falling asleep sitting! And it wasn’t relaxing either. Yeah okay, this nail experience was really whatever, I was seriously not satisfied. The only thing that made me tip them was the fact that they fixed my ripped nail for free, well not really free since I freaking tipped them a lot ! They definitely didn’t deserve my $ 5 tip if they didn’t fix my nail. –_– Anyway, for me, I am not going to come back here. Sorry, just didn’t do it for me. If you are reading this and you want to give it a try, do remember to bring cash! They take card but not for tips.

I stopped going here!!! I ALWAYS had to go home and pluck my eyebrows after getting them done! This last time it took this lady 2 hours to give me a basic manicure and there was nail polish on the skin of my fingers when i left and to top it off they over charged me $ 10.00 and threw a fit when i told them to reimburse me. This was not the only bad experience i have had there just my latest.

I have visited this nail spot twice now. The first time I got a pedicure from Ce Ce and she was awesome. I went back today and got another chick instead. I have noticed that nail salons do not put the soaking stuff in the water anymore, they do not scrub the callouses off the feet(its extra) and the woman did not do a good job considering. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. I do not recommend this nail salon. They do not provide quality service.

I guess I’ll be the first to review. Let me just preface my review by saying that I understand that you shouldn’t expect an impeccable manicure from a lower end nail salon, but it doesn’t hurt to try. Their manicures are $ 16 bucks, which is a lot if you ask me. They are actually called«oil manicures» but my lady used no oil. And she massaged for probably 10 seconds each arm and asked if I wanted«extra massage» which I declined because I was warned before hand that they often tack on charges with casual suggestions. She did a bad job shaping my nail, either its square or its round — there is no in between there. She hurt me while filing AND she cut me with the cuticle cutters. A little AGGRESSIVE. When it came time to the paint, it was no different. She gobbed on the nail polish and didn’t even bother to pick up my hand to put the top coat on – just did one swipe on each nail. I didn’t tip her, which I NEVER do. I felt like the experience was a rip off and I won’t be going back. There is a much much much cheaper nail place down the street. You make a left onto highland from west Rosecrans and its on your left at 23rd street. Their manicures are $ 6 dollars and they do a good job. I would not recommend this place.

Have been to this salon with my daughter about a dozen times over the past year. I’ve never been particularly enthused, but she’s 21, and seemed to like it, so I would accompany her for a mother/daughter outing. This place has the feel of a factory production line. They talk to each other, not to you, except to hit you up for yet another $ 3 or $ 5 fee, for doing a few extra minutes of massage, or adding a flower to your pedicure, etc. Once I even had a manicurist come back to me twice to indicate that she had undercharged me, and I had to give her more money. They only take cash or checks, which is a pain. The place is large, has a lot of massage chairs, appears clean, and they try to accommodate you even if they are busy. But for the money I’m paying, I always feel like there’s got to be something better out there, and I’m going to start looking.
