They don’t seem to honor their reservations. A large group of us has been going there for over a year for Tuesday night trivia, and we always request the large community table. We usually get it, but there have been a few times when someone else reserved it first, which is fair. Sometimes we do reserve it, and when we arrive someone else is sitting there, which is less cool. Last week, I reserved that table and shortly afterward received a call back from someone(Ashley?) informing me that two groups requested the large table, but because we requested it for 6:00 and the other party asked for 6:30, she would give it to whoever arrived first, which would be our group. We arrived at 5:50 and were informed that the other party(who was not there and wouldn’t arrive for another hour) would have the large table because they called first. Huh? The other group came late, left an hour before we did, and half of them were little children. Meanwhile, 15 of us adults squeezed into two corner tables that were meant to accommodate 12. Why did that manager go out of her way to call and tell me that we had the large table as long as we arrived first, then take it away when we arrived way ahead of the other party? We’ll probably keep going there, because we like trivia night. But if you can’t accommodate our request, just say so instead of pulling a bait & switch.

Good steak salad, great to go service! Any place that accommodates you and shares their ingredient list is a winner in my book!

Steak panini is soooo good, i get the tomatillo sauce on the side though so that it’s not soggy!!! I also love the fact that the side is a salad instead of fries a much healthier option. I have also tried the steak salad it’s delicious comes with walnuts too yummy!!! Delivery is kind of long but worth the wait!

Had a great experience here while vacationing in LA. Don the manager and Eddie the server were simply awesome. During our evening, there was also a trivia contest going on which is pretty exciting also. Highly recommend.

Great place to go for a delicious pie or just had the steak salad the other night. Loved the flavors and quality of ingredients although I would have liked a larger portion of steak(probably 4oz serving of steak) And always a bonus in my book to have a great beer menu.

Love this place so much! Has vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options. Beer and wine selection is awesome! I am a pizza lover and this place is to die for! I love building my own pizza, and one of my favorite items is the Tuscan bean soup, it’s delicious. Really recommend trying this! What makes it even better is that the staff is absolutely wonderful!

It’s like a 3.5…My review is going to be a bit subjective to my preference in pizza unfortunately, but I will say I do think it’s worth a try. I think most people will like this type of pizza, but I honestly think it was just too fancy of pizza for me! As odd as it sounds. The ingredients were a bit more above my taste palate, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing for others. First off, parking here was kind of crazy but we snagged a spot in the parking garage right across the street. It’s TIGHT. And 2 hours only. I think there’s parking in other areas, but I was not the driver – thank god. We ordered a GF pizza for one, a chicken red onion, and a pepperoni pizza as well as a salad, one large bean soup and one small bean soup. I actually really liked the bean soup and was kind of surprised how much I enjoyed it. I know it’s a bit odd to have that with pizza but I’d suggest trying a small one – the pesto on top is such a lovely addition! The pizzas were good quality, but I don’t know. I think the flavors for me were not the type of flavor I was personally looking for. I’m a bit picky on my dough and didn’t really care for these slices for some reason. The crust was thicker, but the actual pizza was not as thick. I was still satisfied, but not completely amazed. I left content, but I don’t think I’d personally return just for personal preference. It’s a great location and one I’d suggest trying out in Manhattan Beach if you’re into pizza! Give it a try and see if you’re a fan!

The pizza is good, but over priced(not a surprise when dining in Manhattan Beach). The salads are a joke too. Smallest possible portion of meat. There was literally only 3 oz. of meat for both the chicken and steak salads. If the food was organic/free range, then the prices would make sense. The crust is thin too. It’s thievery.

This was our first time dining at this particular Pitfire, but have had great experiences at the other one in Venice area and Orange County. This experience left me never wanting to come back. It was a Sunday evening, they appeared to be well staffed and it wasn’t too busy in the restaurant but you wouldn’t know it based on the service we received. Upon walking in: there were at least 3 tables that hadn’t been cleared When ordering: asked us to wait 5 – 10 minutes while they put in a phone order(yes they — took two people). After sitting: There were four of us at the table with two orders, our friends ordered right before us so naturally they got their food first but we didn’t expect to wait 10 – 15 minutes before our two pizzas(no salad — we ordered and asked to start with) made it out. The server literally tossed the pizza down at one of our friends because the plate was hot and she didn’t have something to protect her hand. My pizza was burned while the others were the perfect Pitfire crust(their pizzas are very good when cooked perfectly!!). I asked for a refill on my drink and waters for the table, both were forgotten about until reminded. The salad came out half way through our pizzas and I requested a refund, which was processed without question. Not sure why the service was so off but hopefully it was just a off night an not the norm.

Great service and great food! Our table had the baked mac and cheese, margarita pizza, and an artichoke pizza. Everything was great! Staff was friendly, helpful, and definitely cares! Would totally try more options another time. but I live in Washington. Great spot to accidentally find on a busy Friday night in Manhattan Beach!

You know how sometimes pizza restaurants make you overpay for mediocre pizza and you leave feeling disappointed? That doesn’t happen here. I’m in LOVE with Pitfire Pizza — and mostly because of their gluten free pizza. I dare say this is the best gluten free pizza I’ve found to-date. The word«artisan» doesn’t just get left behind when the gluten free crust comes in. The pizza actually looks like one of those fluffy, legit pizzas that gluten-free people like me only dream of. No cracker-thin crust here. And the menu has so many cool topping combinations plus beer and wine for drinks. I can totally see myself coming back here for a relaxed date night. One weird thing: there was a DJ in a small booth in the center of the restaurant having way too much fun with his job. He looked like he belonged at an 18-and-under club, not a restaurant… Get rid of the odd DJ, and this place would totally be 5-stars. And either way, it’s the perfect place for when you feel like eating pizza in public.

4.75 stars!!! I’ll definitely be coming back, great service and delicious quantity on food. I tried their steak salad and the green eggs(broccolini) and ham(prosciutto) pizza, oh man those two paired perfectly. I had two glasses of their seasonal sangria, sooooo good!

I just want to write this review mainly to give shoutout to our waiter, Ray. He was a great server who went beyond to make sure the customers were happy. There was a puddle next to our table(didn’t really know why) but he mopped it up. He constantly checked up on our table to make sure everything was spot on. We gave him extra tips for his service.

There are four reasons you want to stop by this place: 1.Great personnel, Jordan was our waiter and he was simply the proof of excellency. 2.Great pizza, do try the mushroom or egg&ham one. If you are not very hungry you can easily share one. 3.Despite the good beer selection I had wine, their house malbec not to be skipped. 4. IF it’s Friday or Sat they have DJ live music.

I’ve been to Pitfire a number of times now over the last two years. I have to say, it’s grown on me some after a rocky start. It’s not a full 4 star pizza place, but it’s close(call it 3.75) enough to round it up once all the other factors come into play. As far as the pizza goes, I’ve had quite a few of the different pies. Not spectacular, but all very solid(3.5 average). The toppings are generally above average. The crust is solid but not specatular. Even being a pizza snob, I would have no problem getting a pie there at any time. My wife really likes the veggie platter — really likes it. The veggies change seasonally and it is her go-to dish there. I’ve tasted a number of the veggies and they are all creatively done. Very good platter for the price(4+ stars). Pitfire also has a very good beer selection on tap. Service has always been friendly and prompt and the price is fairly reasonable. It can be quite loud since this is a great place for kids(there are always kids there) and the floor is concrete which reverberates the sound. On the plus side, there is nice outdoor eating tables perfect for Manhattan Beach people watching, especially in the summer! For a neighborhood restaurant at a decent price, it’s just right.

We have been coming to the Trivia Night Trivia every so often here and it is a REALLY good time! There are plenty of beers to choose from on tap, and the food is very tasty. Once my yoke on the egg and ham pizza was overcooked, but no big deal, as the rest was still scrumptious. Trivia nights are a blast, and the host is on point with his selection of questions and responses, as well as his interactive games between the trivia rounds. It’s an awesome expenditure of time. There is also free parking downtown during December; you can’t beat that!

Came to this place for lunch with friends. It was busy but had enough space to find seats right away. Ordered steak salad to start. Steak was cooked well and seasoned well. Avocados, candied pecans, blue cheese. Very good combo and very tasty. Pumpkin pizza was seasonal. Had pumpkin, pumpkin seeds, prosciutto. It was perfect for the season but I don’t if I’d order it again. It was a sweet and savory pizza. Wished there was a little more saltiness to it. Burata pizza was amazing. Perfect sauce. Hazelnut and arugula. Everything tasted good together. The pizza dough here is amazing. Perfectly bread-y but not too much and just enough chewiness. The pizza stands up on its own when holding it by the crust and that means there’s a good crisp to the pizza even with sauce on top. This place also has a few beers on tap if you want to grab a beer with your meal. I’d definitely recommend this place and come back here. Can’t wait to try a few more things on the menu!

I really like this place. I love the location. Downtown Manhattan Beach is one of my favorite areas. Parking can be a nightmare if you go during peak hours(weekends and lunch time). I like the people that work at this location, they are very eccentric with tattoos and different color hair! I like that a lot, especially because MB needs some flavor haha. The Pizza is really good. I love the different selections and they are kid friendly, which is a plus.

Whenever a manager or owner goes out of their way give us exceptional service the very least I can do to thank them is give them a five star. I would have told them their house salad which actually was a Caesar salad had too much dressing but they came back with a more traditional pepperoni pizza to take the place of their kale pizza that didn’t have any sauce. They always made sure we had enough waters and plates, refills and were always working to make us happy. Works for me! Just don’t get kale salad.
