The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

I was so bummed when the Hermosa Beach location closed but this one is just as great! Being a tea connoisseur, I have not found too many places that make tea lattes. Drinking the Pomegranate Blueberry, Tropical Passion or Strawberry Cream hot tea lattes is a daily ritual. This is also one of the locations that offers the rewards program so it’s a win win! Very nice employees and a pretty chill location. Only drawback is that by the time you find parking on Manhattan Beach Blvd, you might want something stronger than tea!

Coffee Bean & Tea in MB has always great and friendly service. My favorite is the Vanilla Latte!
Great place to sit and relax!

They lost a star because they forgot about my drink. Not sure how considering I was probably 1 of the 3 people waiting for a drink. I didn’t complain nor ask for any favors but they gave me a $ 5 gift card to use in the future to make up for their mistake.
I’ve only tried their green tea latte and their iced hazelnut coffee. Between the two, the iced hazelnut coffee takes the trophy.
Lots of space and tables. Perfect to get some work done or study.

Great place for iced coffee. This is now my new go to spot for a caffeine fix whenever I am at work. I am an avid drinks of their iced hazelnut coffee. I am obsessed!
Free wifi. Dog friendly place. Parking just isn’t so ideal… They also have a rewards program. Just don’t forget to give the cashier your phone number. You get your first drink for free! :)

Great location and friendly staff. One of my fav coffee stops. Less crowd and quick service. People seem to know customers by name. They have a great variety of teas which is what I usually get here. Ample seating inside and outside. A lot of people studying on their laptops inside. Who wouldn’t want to do some work near the beach? Parking is tight. Will have to find meter parking or a structure nearby.

Great service, friendly staff and never a long wait. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Their main entrance is off of MBB but if you park in the structure (lot 3) just north of the store, you can come in the back way off the alley.
I love all of their chai tea lattes. Order it with half the powder and it’s still just as good (and less sugar and calories)! No sugar added blended Black Forest – my guilty pleasure when I’m having a rough day, they blend in chocolate covered espresso beans in the drink (I get without whip to save a few calories).

Like coming to this location for a latte when I’m in the area. Pretty clean and convenient coffee bean location. Staff is really friendly as well and know how to make my green tea latte just right. Not too sweet. Seems like a popular place to study. Lots of indoor seating but not so much outdoor. Great area to do some shopping.

Their Chai Tea Latte are tastier than Starbucks in my opinion.
The staff here are super friendly and helpful. The barista recommended that I use their app to get rewards points since I was buying a bunch or espresso cups. I quickly downloaded it using their awesome wifi and was halfway to a freebie after one purchase.
They also have more tables than the Starbucks and outdoor seating with a lovely view as well. Love it here!

One of my favorite coffee beans around. it’s never too busy and the Baristas are very friendly. I didn’t know this but you can get a free sample of any of their flavored coffees which are usually brewed until 11 am. I also love their croissants (warmed of course). Be adventurous and go for the cheddar jalapeño one!

Would be five star worthy but the parking is not great since its in the heart of Manhattan Beach almost well walking distance to the Pier so parking is tough on busy days and weekends plus it’s meter parking so if you come after 9pm you are good on a Sat but always check just in case, they also have parking in the back so that’s good too, the staff is friendly the place is descent size about 12 square tables along one side of the wall and one large table in the middle sort of for like 6 plus they have outdoor seating with about 6 or so tables. Like that this one closes at 11pm on Saturdays. Tonight was hunting for Red Velvet and they had it. will come back again.

Its always FREEZING here. Its extremely cold here in the summer and in the winter and just all the time. The temperature setting is way below the comfortable levels and there are no shortages of the AC vents above your head. I’d come here more often but the uncomfortable temperatures force me to find another coffee shop.

Sparse outdoor seating adjacent to the parking lot. Nice chairs in the inside. Internet is good, hasn’t ever been down since I’ve been going here. No password required. Customer service has been consistently good. Don’t recommend the bagels here. It was small and hard as a rock. Whipped cream cheese spread was soupy and tasteless. Go next door to the bagel shop for your bagel.

Amazing vanilla flavor. Clean and prompt– been coming here for years and is always happy, clean and quick. Try anything with vanilla in it… And green tea lattes

Good coffee, great location, not enough tables.
Love to get my morning coffee here if I’m too lazy to make my own. Good service, never any line and their breakfast bars are delicious.
They need an app badly. Starbucks only has them in that one category. The app.
Im going right now to get coffee and it’s here at my local analog coffee shop.

While I’m partial to more indie coffee shops serving up STRONG cups of coffee and refreshing herbal teas, I definitely like to indulge every now and then with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s various sweeter iced beverages.
It’s a really great destination point to refuel after an afternoon of boutique shopping on Manhattan Beach Boulevard and there is a great outdoor patio to enjoy your goodies in the sun. Free wifi is also provided here.
The shop is spacious and pretty cute with it’s various decorations. I really appreciate how neat and tidy everything is here. The staff do a wonderful job of keeping merchandise stocked and organized, tables and countertops clean, and preparing orders quickly.
Weekend mornings are especially busy so expect more of a crowd. Waits in line are never terrible though since I’ve typically experienced great service.
I prefer to drink my coffee or tea outside because they seem to be fans of turning the AC up. Not ideal if you’re drinking something cold!
I’m a fan of their blended Vanilla Latte as well as their Matcha Latte. Sweeter than my typical coffee order, but not too sweet to the point that I feel like I might collapse from a sugar rush.
A favorite stop before heading to the beaches or boutiques, I always enjoy myself here and recommend a visit.

When I landed the morning of in LAX it was dark and gloomy. When I got the Manhattan Beach and finished lunch, it was warm and sunny. It was looking good to sit on CB&TL’s outside area and just people watch for a bit. Cashier was super friendly and got our drinks to us pronto. Having my awesome large iced coffee to go, I decided to stroll down the hill, caffeinate up and make my way to the water. We later ran into a bunch of the staff from Manhattan Beach Post where we just ate on break and thinking the same thing!

Passion tea latte if you want something sweet and vanilla-​y!
Love the staff! They’re always friendly and they always get my drink right! (Some location makes my latte watery) and if something is off, they don’t mind remaking it for you.
As someone stated, their wifi is a lot better than Starbucks and Peet’s. And they have more tables that are spacious.

Come here if you need internet! Don’t go to Starbucks — their wifi stinks.
In terms of coffee, flavors, pastries, all that jazz, it’s your world.
But if your world, like mine, needs some surfing on shore as well, then this is the place to go to when you’re at Manhattan Beach.
