Waterman’s Grill

Big space on Hermosa Beach pier promenade… mediocre décor, average drinks and underwhelming bar food. Single star reflects poor staff and personal experience. On a crowded Sat. night, I was standing near the walkway to the kitchen (no where else to stand). One of the bar backs/​dish jockeys (Mr. Todd) barged through with an armful of dirty plates and glasses, and said (under his breath) «get the F_​_​_​out of the way». When he returned, I let him know I heard what he said, and no sooner than two wags of a dogs tail., I was man-​handled by 2 monkeys (Todd 1 & Todd 2) out the backdoor. No apology, no discussion, no nada, just out the back door. After examining my bloody wrist & elbow (I was thrown to the ground), I went to up front the discuss with manager… too late, Todd had raced up front and the manager was not approachable. Never, never, never again. Places deserves to go under like the previous operations at this locale. Thanks for reading.

This restaurant has closed down.

Convenient when you are riding a bike along the beach trail, but the food was bland and service was slow. You can bring your dog when you dine on the patio.

Came in here during Fiesta Hermosa and the place was PACKED and it was ssssooo incredibly noisy inside. I ended up just ordering a pear cider ($ 6). Service was actually pretty good, considering the chaos on the street and the chaos inside.
Note: there was constantly a line for the women’s bathroom. They only have 2 stalls.

Pretty fun place to go when you need to take a break from the beach. It’s also good for daytime drinking. We had been laying in the sun all day and were hungry and saw Waterman’s while shopping. Plus, we were told they had a pretty good happy hour so we ordered their paninis and curly fries. Everything was delicious! We were out on the patio which was really relaxing because you can stare at the beach while you chill. Great place and our server was awesome.
