CLOSED. Because all it takes is 1 bad review from me.

First of all, there is a big sign out front advertising $ 5 lunch specials, but the salads are $ 6. Yes, the salads are unlimited toppings, but the toppings are all TERRIBLE. Nothing tasted fresh. The dressing was slimy and gross. I’m pretty certain the only reason people go here is the same reason I did– you’re in a hurry and it’s on Lex. Don’t do it!

A Café needs more written about it, because as far as I know, it’s providing something unique in East Midtown. $ 6. Unlimited topping salad bar. Unlimited! Six bucks. Nobody else is doing this around here I don’t think. There are, of course, limitations. Only one meat. Which makes sense, as they’d lose money if people wanted five chicken breasts in a bowl. You also only get a little bit of each topping on your salad. Sure, ask for some more of your favorite one, but in order to stay unlimited, it’s best not to try to break them. What ends up happening, is that you get a whole lot of different ingredients. My last salad had BBQ chicken, mushrooms, beets, carrots, celery, corn, peas, sprouts, stuffed grape leaves, sundried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, green peppers, and croutons I think. Try getting that for six bucks at Metro or one of the other salad chains in the area! A also has a great selection of lo-cal and low-fat salad dressings, which is pretty awesome. This has become my new go-to place for lunch salads.

This Salad bar opened up a few months ago near my job and im so glad it did. I dont eat greens, only lettuce and that’s it, but gained a few extra pounds and decided to eat fresh and healthy. This place besides having a great lunch offer and delicious salads its close to work. The variety is equal or better that most places around, lots of greens and dressings(do not try the lime something is too sour), the line is long but moves pretty fast. The salad special is $ 5.00 for all the ingredients you want, except meats, you only get 1. Soups 1 buck if you get a salad, and sandwiches are cheap and delicious.
