There’s always a little line at this small outlet, which offers macarons, coffee, tea and some other baked goods. The selection of macarons is decent — i’d say about 8 or so flavors and when I went there were two people working — I don’t think you could fit much more people back there. One person took the money and the other bagged the goods /filled orders. I only had one person in front of me and I had to wait quite a while to be served, but the guy was kind of indecisive so it was partly his fault. Then again, the server was also making small talk and not speeding things up so she is equally to blame. When it came time to serve me she was pleasant enough though so I can’t complain too much. The macaron itself was okay — they were only giving away one flavor for macaron day(chocolate i believe?). I had wanted to try the nutella but that was not possible. At least it was a normal sized macaron although some other locations were much more generous with the selection.

I’ve been walking past this place for so long and had no idea they were selling Woops Macarons from inside. Thanks to Macaron Day Last week I was able to take home a {free} macaron to try. The options were between raspberry and nutella… I went nutellla and sadly I was disappointed… that nutella basically just tasted like chocolate. It was good — rich and creamy — but I was missing that nuttiness of the hazelnuts. The size of the macaron was good but I can’t overlook the intensity, or lack of the, hazelnut flavor.

6 macarons for $ 16. Yeah, it’s that kind of place. The macarons are good for sure, but they’re not worth the price. It’s just the novelty of having a little macaron stand while you’re off and spending a bunch of money on SoHo shops. The lady behind the counter was pretty gruff, but I wouldn’t expect her to be super nice after a long day of dealing with the people in this area.

cutest little«roadside bakery» with delicious macarons. i got an oreo, a nutella, and an «original.» i admit that i’m not a macaron connoisseur, but these got 2 thumbs up from me. not too sweet, not dry… a perfect treat with my morning coffee.

Have to start by clarifying that this review is for their MACARONS, which are clearly not their specialty. I can’t comment on the cupcakes. The macarons are $ 2.50 each, on par with the more well known fancy macaron makers, and yet they are astonishingly tasteless. Pure sugar. I tried the rose flavor and the pumpkin and honestly I would classify the inside spreads of both as cake frosting instead of macaron filling. The pumpkin at least had some mild pumpkin taste but I think the scent was responsible for most of that. You could have told me the rose was just«plain» or vanilla flavor and I would have believed you. Perhaps my $ 5 would have been better spent on a cupcake — if I come back and try one, I will update accordingly!

$ 4.30 for a regular-sized cupcake? No thanks! The Benny & The Jetts cupcake(chocolate w/mint frosting) was really weak. But I did like my friend’s Chocolate Peanut Butter cupcake, which was rich in PB flavor. Overall, I don’t think it’s worth it. You should definitely go to Georgetown Cupcake around the block for half the price, WAY better cupcakes, plus seating, heating & an actual bathroom. –_–

Just popped by this stand for a coffee with soy milk. Eyed the cupcakes(that people on here and FourSquare rave about), but didn’t want to be bad! I’ve read that although the flavors are light and fluffy sounding, the cakes are actually very dense. Yum. Coffee was nothing to write home about, but the server was such a sweet gal. Didn’t use the table service. $ 2 for my coffee w/soy…price seemed a bit steep as I think I pay less than that at Starbucks. Convenient place when you’re walking around. Misc bites(wraps and such) looked tasty. To spell out my four star review of Café Angelique — for me it was probably that I’d had a shit fucking day and the server was lovely to me, the location was right next to my hotel which was perfect(and right near a subway), and to be clear — I said the coffee was naut to write home about. Not that I didn’t like it. It just didn’t tickle my loins, if you will. Cute place!

Almost walked past Café Angelique and am so glad I did a double take and bought some cupcakes! Got 3 flavors and sampled each one before sharing. The cakes were moist and the frosting and filling tasty. I loved the flavor combinations and there were lots to choose from. The friends I shared the cakes with also were surprised by the great taste. Definitely one of my favorite cupcake places. So much better than the over hyped Magnolia Bakery or Crumbs!

I came back here to try some more of their cupcakes since my favorite Anna Banana was sold out. I got Nutley, All Shook Up, and Caffe Brulee to share with my friends. Nutley was super chocolately in a good way and the marshmallow frosting on all shook up was absolutely delectable. I didn’t love the caffe brulee though. It has a hint of orange that I didn’t care for.

I love this cute stand and can never resist getting a cupcake when I pass by… which is why I try to take the E to work rather than the N since the temptation is too immense. The red velvet and pb are my favorites and I actually like the moist cake more than Georgetown’s, which I find slightly dry. The whipped cream icing is light and fluffy without being overly sweet, which I love. A great place to grab a sweet treat in Soho.

On vacation, tired, and open to snacking my way through manhattan a cupcake called«Emotional Obsession» or like that, was the winner on the shelf with red velvet cake, a caramel center surprise, topped with pink icing and a cherry. On the run, I self consciously turned my back to the street in disgrace and chomped down on the little thing, over a card board box. I washed her down with a San pellegrino with a little bit of adrenaline, as I moved on to discover new victims. $ 7 experience. Right near all the shops at Mercer. Goes with: American Psycho by Brett Easton Ellis.

Is this the red cupcake stand in soho? If so, how do I give a 10-star rating? SOOOO worth the $ 3-and-change pricetag. I typically get«De Lime in De Coconut»(order it in that accent, and yeah it’s spelled that way). It’s cool, refreshing, bright… hmm what other words apply that I learned from watching the Food Network Star… oh. the proverbial«mmmmmmmmm that is SO good.» Lemon cupcakes a must as well, so are the chocolate varieties. Just try it all, walk around and shop as you eat and burn off those calories.

This little cart was a welcome sight after a trip to the Betsey Johnson store & an urge for something to eat had overtaken me. I got a yummy chocolate icing cupcake here. Pricey but very filling and well packaged. If I was in the area, I’d consider stopping by here again though initially we weren’t sure if they were open. Thankfully, they were. It just made the day better.

Let me tell you something-this lil’ cart doesn’t even look that cute or inviting, but I was craving sweets and passing right by it, so I figured-why not? I’m so glad I took that chance! I got the peanut butter/chocolate cupcake(forget what name they gave it) and it was ABSOLUTELYDELICIOUS! Yumm I loved it! I only wish, as with most cupcakes, that the cake was a bit more moist, but other than that, the frosting was great, as well as the overall cupcake. It tasted like a good amount of fudge, peanut butter, and chocolate. Yuuum! I’ll be back to try the others :) It’s $ 3.20 btw.

A small cupcake stand on prince st. is it? I definitely hae been to many cupcake places in nyc. I had the mango one which was amazing, but when I went for round 2 i noticed that the icing is kinda like that jared icing you can buy… amazing, and you’d want to eat it from the jar, but REALLYRICH! Magnolia is still probably number 1 butter lane is a strong 2 baked by melissa is my fav though others may disagree, worth a try? Definitely, they still have pretty unique flavors

Perry L. «Do you like your cupcake?» Suanne L. «Ish dwewishus ohm nom nom!» Perry L and I went on a recent cupcake binge. We passed the little red stand for Café Angelique and saw the gorgeous gormet cupcakes inside the little window. He got the mango. I got a piece of explosive chocolate delirium. T’was amazing. I love that on top of great frosting, they also put a little custard or ganache in the center — it turns an okay cupcake into a phenomenal dessert. Moist and sweet, and very yum. Stand is actually on Prince between Mercer and Broadway, right outside of Lure. You can’t miss it. Everything probably comes from the official Café Angelique on Bleeker and Broadway, so if you want seating and cutlery, best to try there first.

I am still chewing on a cookie I just bought couple of hours ago at this place. This place is A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Now I’m usually not enthusiastic about a little small shop placed in the middle of the street, but this place is just cute, and witty. The lady that works there is very friendly and the price for these goodies are inexpensive! If it was a real café, I would love it even more. I purchased a pomegranate white-tea cookie — very unique and extremely tasty. Those who goes around SoHo a lot, must try this place. Also read their little signs everywhere, it’s adorable.

Apparently there are two others in the vicinity, but this one just opened up a few months ago. The gal inside is awesome and did a Christopher Walken impression for me: P Nice, spongy, and moist cupcakes FILLEDWITHCUSTARD! good stuff. although its ~$ 3 each. It’s a cool little red shack that sits on the sidewalk of the NE corner of Prince and Mercer. Can’t miss it along the plain-faced brick building behind it.
