This was an amazing watch store. I always get complements when I wear my puzzle watch. It’s a shame the place closed and the web site is down. I spent atleast an hour in the store and was looking forward to the saki party.

CLOSED– gorgeous handmade watches but no longer open in New York. They have watches online on ebay and a store in Kyoto.

Bought myself a Dedegumo watch in December 2011 and love its uniqueness and its steampunk look. It gets a lot of comments, positive ones. Was disappointed to see that the shop in Soho had closed(sometime before August 2013…)

«Incredible» is the only word that can be used to fully describe what Dedegumo is. Not only are the watches pieces of wearable art, but their staff is also amazing. They are all so gracious and patient with customers, as I’m sure like myself, everyone is stuck when it comes to making a final decision on a watch since the possibilities are endless! I put in an order for a watch(Oupu) for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday. I was able to pick out the color for the band and face, and was even able to engrave a note on the back of the watch at no extra cost. The pieces take 6 – 8 weeks to be made but they are absolutely worth the wait. Considering these watches are completely handmade and extreme care goes into creating each piece, I have to say the prices are more than fair. That does not mean they are cheap though! Yumiko, you made my boyfriend’s day! Thank you for the amazing work.

OooooAaaaWooooooooowwwwwOMG. It’s hard to imagine ever seeing pieces like this before. These watches are very special – and if you want some bespoke servicing on the watches, just have them do it in the workshop that’s in-store. The owner is from Atlanta and VERY friendly. Too friendly to be from New York – which gives the store a nice feeling. These watches are made from different kinds of parts, metals, wood, all sortsa stuff. I thought I would be breezing through this store very quickly but each watch is so interesting, you will spend some time carefully exploring each one. The designs are from Japan so they are very intricate in nature. Can definitely see this stuff being pedaled up at Barneys New York.
