After several attempts of looking for a good place for lower back pain, I came across this amazing place with friendly, professional and attentive staff and let me just say… I am so glad I did! The physical therapy here works!!! I sleep better at night, I feel more relaxed and with less pain. I also started doing the acupuncture and it puts me at ease with my every day life, and activities, in addition, to all this wonderful treatments… I spoke to James about my face being too dry and the development of acne at my age (35) and he placed me in the hands of Linda and with just 3 facial treatments I notice a glow in my skin and it even looks clearer. Not only is this place super clean but they use nothing but the best products and technology. I would’nt have it any other way. Holistic medical is the way to go!!! I recommend it to everyone especially with our busy, stressful and crazy lives and all at a great price.

I originally went to Holistic Medical for auriculotherapy (stop smoking treatment). May is EXCELLENT!!! She helped me with my smoking and other issues as well. With each session my smoking decreased from a pack a day to 8 – 10, then down to 3 – 5, and today I’m proud to say I’m smoke free. The treatment made it easy, I didn’t notice any withdrawal symptoms. My desire to smoke just gradually decreased. May also treated me for stress and anxiety. In accounting stress comes along with the job. I had random body aches from stress. I’m not sure if stress and smoking go hand and hand, but after treatment I feel much better. I love May and their staff and I would highly recommend. Before taking Chantrex or any other smoking cession medications, please give acupuncture a try, you’ll be amazed at the results.

After suffering from chronic pain ²⁴⁄₇ in my lower back due to pregnancy, i finally visited this health center.
They got me back to normal, no pain, walking normal and not limping !

The majority of the pain was gone on my first visit with Alvin, a trained physical therapist with many years of experience and spiritual approach to pain management.
i did an intense visit schedule. The center let you have appointments with different therapist so you can really enjoy a variety of professional that each have a different approach to taking care of your pain

My mother has just started coming here recently for physical therapy, and she has never been happier. She’s had chronic back pain ever since she was a teenager, and has the tightest muscles ever. The therapists there were very attending to her aches and pains and got almost every knot out of her. She always comes out happy and relaxed. The staff is great, receptionist very sweet, and doctors very attentive. I would highly recommend this place, my mother has been in the best moods recently!

MUST READ BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO GO: Please don’t go here. There are a million places that are better and take insurance. After all, we are in New York City. Spend the extra time, talk to your insurance company, and figure out a place that will actually help you. This place is a waste of time and energy. They are the worst. I went in because I had an anterior pelvic tilt and was in excruciating pain. I was referred by my doctor to receive physical therapy and acupuncture.
First – They gave me NO physical therapy, and as for acupuncture, the acupuncturist did not listen to me at all. She answered my questions very absently and it wasn’t a language barrier thing as her english was perfect. I could tell by the few firm sentences she spoke to me that she wanted to get rid of me. I figured: she probably had a long day and my xray results should say it all. Yes, I even brought her my x-​rays. I learned a lesson there. I should have trusted my instincts.
They put TWO needles in my knuckles and FOUR needles in my toe knuckles, on ONE foot. I did mention to you reader, that I was referred for a PELVIC TILT. For those of you who don’t know where that is, it is located in the lower back. In total, I had 6 needles, no where near the my back or pelvis. She left them for 15 minutes, and she said, try not to move. Then, when she came back she asked me how I felt. I explained again that my issue was my pelvic bone, and I had felt no difference. She said, as if I had never heard of acupuncture, this is how it works come back next time.
Not even the worst part! She also asked me to speak with head doctor. He told me I needed SURGERY. I was horrified. So I got a second, third, fourth, and even fifth opinion ALL DOCTORS. Every doctor I spoke with said that it was unbelievable and that neither should be practicing medicine. By the way, I have found a wonderful acupuncturist and physical therapist, and I am doing great! No pain, it wasn’t severe, in fact I won’t even need a chiropractor. Just a healthy amount of exercising and A LOT of stretching. Not even close to surgery, phew!
