Kennedy Fried Chicken

I have never been to a Kennedy Fried Chicken but needed something close after dropping off the s donation at the Goodwill. All I can say is that is was excellent. Nothing prepared ahead of time, it was fresh and hot and very reasonably priced. I had the Whiting fish and my son and husband the chicken tenders. It was dime of the best fried fish I have ever had. I don’t live close so it will be hard to go again but if I see another such establishment I will definitely try it. Puts that other KFC place to shame !

Greasy spot for chicken, fish, etc. I like the price points and the sweet potato pies! It’s always there when you need a quick bite. They accept everything (credit, cash, ebt, etc) it seems. There are tables to eat at, but you should take it home. They have ice cream but I’ve never tried it. I’m not a fan of shoestring fries, but that’s all they offer. They also have pizza, but I’ve nit had that either. Get chicken, get fish, get a sweet potato pie… Enjoy, you’re welcome.

This is the cleanest and brightest KFC I’ve ever been too. That says a lot. Yeah, clean is good
I actually came here after a night of drinking over at El Paso down the block. Who doesn’t want friend chicken after a nice buzz. 2^nd best KFC in NYC. Hey, I’m a poet and didn’t know it. Guys who work here are cool and friendly. The chicken was how it usually is… dope. I just wish this was closer to home.

Best fried chicken in the city. Bring a book while you wait, they can take awhile.

Yes, you’ve walked past it. You have no idea what to think. Maybe it is a chain… A KFC imitator? A new level of greasy sordidness? Is it better than Popeye’s? Or even Church’s?

* This chain has about 1,000 stores. (yes, that’s correct). Stretching across this great land. None in China that I am aware of right now.

The food verdict? Yeah, it’s actually not so bad, but I would choose Church’s any day. Not one in my ‘hood though.
It’s a bit greasy, but yes it is ridic cheap. Eat at your cholesterol peril.

I initially imagined this place as a sub-​par joint, but I live right across the street and when they fry their chicken, its like that episode of Seinfeld when Kramer was hypnotized by a chicken joint. So i started with the basic fried chicken and man, did it grow on me! One night i just wanted a good plain cheeseburger and decided to try there. WOW, even my buddy said, dang, that is a GOOD burger! Its got all the toppings you’d want, nice large bun and has a hint of a big-​mac flavor (good thing). The fries are great too, very crispy! I don’t think I’ve ever been down there (even at like 2am) when it was empty. Also, they are open VERY late (3am?). Try the apple pie, i think they were deep fried :)
Reading the other reviews, I agree about the fries and ice cream. Although I’ve never had the ice cream, i see this guy PILE IT ON! Wow, that’s a lot of ice cream! Now if i could only resist the smell of fried chicken…
In short: Best burger around. Tasty fried chicken.

just walked there after a disgusting slice of pizza from «famiglia» any ways we walked in and it was neat clean, staff SUPER friendly, omg i had the BEST ice cream for 3 bucks, and the guy who worked there PILED it.
had their wings n fries, fattening but SUPER TASTY AND CHEAP!

The other day my brother bf and I were walking by this place and we were all hungry. My bf asked me where should we eat, I just looked over across the street and said «hey, let’s go to Kennedy Fried Chicken». He turns to me in disgust and says «Are you crazy, I’m not eating there» My bf is a total food/​wine snob by the way. I turned to him and said trust me it will be good. After convincing him that I had eaten there many times (all lies of course) he agreed to try it. We walked in and were greeted by the friendliest cashier guy, he started speaking in Spanish to us and explained that he’s very interested in learning Spanish and practices wherever he can. My bf ordered the italian cheeseburger, I ordered the chicken tenders and fries and my brother ordered a 3 piece meal. We even invited my sister over and after getting over the initial shock that yes we were eating at Kennedy Fried Chicken she reluctantly agreed to come by. We all enjoyed our food! It was amazing everyone was pleasantly surprised about how tasty the chicken was and the fries I must say are some of the best fast food fries I’ve had. We made friends with the cashier and he promises to teach us French in exchange for Spanish. This is not something I will eat every day but I will definitely go back.

Hey man… it’s cheap, but the service is friendly, the seating is ample and the chicken nuggets and fries are made HOT! So why not, cheap, unhealthy but delicious.
