Perfect Picnic NYC

Love this concept! We lucked out that this vendor was available on Governors Island on weekdays — this was exactly what we had in mind for a lovely staff picnic lunch. So cute!

Fell in love with this adorable food stand when I went to Governors Island this past weekend.
The concept is refreshing simple. Perfect Picnic uses fresh, local ingredients to assemble a delicious picnic that you can take with you to enjoy.
I did a picnic for one. It came with two baguettinis (mini baguette sandwiches), a bag of chips, two caramels, and a bottle of water, all wrapped up in this cute reusable tote! I chose the goat cheese with fig jam and the smoked duck with arugula and cherry jam. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty. I especially liked the smoked duck — great smoky saltiness offset by the tangy, not too sweet jam. Some people will probably find the sandwiches a bit small, but to me they were just right.
The women working at the stand were friendly and super accommodating, even while they were swamped. I watched them patiently listen to a guy and his mom behind me who hemmed and hawed for at least 5 minutes before he could decide that he wanted to customize his sandwich *eye roll*
Can’t think of a better way to take in the views from the Island than chilling on the green lawn with a Perfect Picnic!
