I am so happy I found this brand and store in meatpacking! What a warm welcome! The staff is friendly, caring, attentive and knowledgable. They are really there to help you and make you smile. One of the best stores I have ever walked into! Not to mention the collection is beautiful for both men’s and women’s. I couldn’t help looking in men’s on my way out for my fiancé as well! Thank you Ports!

I love Ports 1961 brand for its clean lines, luxe fabrics, and fashion forward design. I ended up here after a nice stroll through High Line Park around the corner. I’m an old school customer from the mid 1990s. Ports 1961 relaunched and it has a Milanese vibe now. I still love it even though it has no stores onthe West Coast yet(come on L.A. Open already). I had boys in tow and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Boys are the killjoys of shopping but the staff entertained them and was help me to find my new favorite of my closet. The prices are akin to Loro Piano so be prepared to have a few moments with the price tags but you won’t see yourself coming and going nor will you be looking like a reality star. I love the silk dresses(fabulous draping) and the knitwear. It is a nice neighborhood to find your next favorite thing.

This was my first visit to this magnificent boutique. My best friend and I were greeted by a delightful man who offered us a beverage with a warm smile. The clothing is magnificent, lady like and beautifully made. If I did not live most of the year in South Florida, I would have made several purchases from the winter collection. The knits are amazing!!! I will return after the holidays to see the resort collection. PS… Ports 1961 has the most courteous and lovely sales stylists I have ever seen in NYC! Thank you Chimere Ingram for making us feel at home!

As a fashion marketer, I committed my worst nightmare. I redeemed a gift card without spending any incremental dollars above and beyond the value of the card. That said, I have big love for Ports 1961 and the card did get me into the store. After awareness, the second marketing challenge is traffic. Check! It was recently my sister’s birthday so I encouraged her to spend my $ 200GC. We strolled in on a rainy Monday. The staff and doorman laughed at my cute nephew and niece, especially my ultra girlie niece who was already pawing at the luxurious dresses on the hangers. The space is intimate, but then surprises with some additional rooms and alcoves beyond the entrance. Prettiest of all, a garden atrium centered in the second room. So, there isn’t much at Ports for less than $ 200. A mesh pouch? An elasticized wide belt? The belt was actually quite chic and had thin, slat like pieces of leather in the front, in a light camel. The staff helped us find another in an organic colored slate/green. It made my sister’s waist look miniscule, and for that, it was an accessory worth thousands! After applying the GC, the cost to me was a mere $ 6. The third hurdle, transaction. OK so it was a teeny tiny transaction, but based on the beauty of the product and the graciousness of the staff, there will be no obstacles in the fourth challenge, revisit and loyalty!
