Mehhhh. Came here to have breakfast after hiking the incline on a Saturday morning. The place was very crowded with tourists and each of the dozen tables in the small place were occupied. The staff was hustling to get to everyone in a timely fashion and I am sure the cook was trying to keep up as well. I was not impressed by the menu(European in the establishment’s name sorts of makes me expect there will be more of a selection of food from several European countries. In reality it’s mostly polish-german inspired food, and not good at that either). I am not sure if it was because of the busy time or not, but I was def not impressed by food, service or ambiance. Let’s just say this place will do if you are hungry and are in town, but I would def not write to mom’s about it. Nuff said.

READTHISBEFOREYOUREADTHEBADREVIEWS!!! The food here is done well, we left very satisfied and I had no complaints. The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is the waitress was not the friendliest person to deal with– its obvious the brunette lady is their only one, possibly partner in the business I don’t know. There are several bad reviews on here concerning the service I won’t deny that, but sometimes you have to deal with bad service to get good food and that’s exactly what you get here. She wasn’t rude but was neither accommodating or even that nice, so if you’re into that and can’t get past it– maybe this isn’t your place. My wife ordered the polish sausage and eggs, I ordered the skillet special with over easy eggs. Everything was great, the sausage was particularly good. Overall would definitely go again.

Who ever gave this restaurant a bad review is nuts. This place serves TOP-OF-THE-LINE crepes. My favorite crêpe there is the mixed berries with fresh cream. And they put a little fresh fruit in the side to make it all the more better. Also, don’t be fooled by appearances. This place may be in need of a little décor refresher, that doesn’t compromise the quality of the food. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed.

Had the crepes and eggs and needed lots of salt and pepper because it was bland, nothing special. Server had a really bad attitude, she was shockingly rude and won’t be back because of her.

Im very hesitant to deliver 1 star reviews unless i feel that my experience could have been better next time — which I’ll know i would never come back. The photos of the breakfasts look good and brought we in there. It was the disgruntled server that drove me away along with all the a la cart add ons. All meals served with toast and fruit«except the one i ordered» humm. My buddy ordered goulash on egg noodles but we don’t have egg noodles– its on penne. So in conclusion– update your menu to reflect accurate descriptions and be authentic to your polish cuisine. Sorry no photos– paid for the coffee and left.

Second time in the springs. Came here for a quick bite since it was the only place open. Waited about 45 minutes for our food. Got our drinks after our food. Took them a good 20 minutes before even giving us menus. I ordered a bagel with butter and preserves I got a bagel with cream cheese. Won’t come back.

Like most I was just walking through town and just stopped in to have a quick lunch. The place may be small buy the food is decently priced and the service is very friendly. I order the veggie and requested turkey slices for the sandwiches.

It seemed like only two people were working(I know the lady out front said someone had called in sick) But that’s the same situation as the last time we were here five years ago. The Goulash was bland and not at all like I remember my family making it. The rest of my family thought their food was poor to mediocre. Add poor/slow service and no way to get your ice tea refilled and we all regret coming here. I wonder how they stay in business.

This is our favorite breakfast spot, also. The coffee is great and I love that you get fresh fruit. The omelets and crepes are enormous and the potatoes are heavenly. As others have mentioned, the only drawback is the service. About half the time we go in, it’s great. But the other half you will be sitting for a long time waiting to get your food and check and you can pretty much forget about coffee or water refills. Although it is a small restaurant, it’s too much for one person when it’s full but there is often only one person trying to do it all the best she can. I noticed last time we were there that there was a help wanted sign in the window so hopefully they will be getting the staff that is needed soon to keep things moving along. The wait is worth it, though!

Stopped in for lunch in May after some strolling about the Garden of Gods. We sat outside which was nice, but I can’t comment on the interior of the restaurant. Service was a little slow, both in getting our order and bringing the food, but waitstaff was pleasant and food was solid. My veggie sandwich was above average and the hubby gives his breakfast of polish sausage and eggs two thumbs up.

Excellent food. I had never had borsch before and was pleasantly surprised. My partner had the chopped polish sausage and loved it. Would definitely go back.

Quaint, tasty food, coloring books and crayons but no kids menu that I could find, good service, an interesting yet delicious cheese that is a mix of Swiss and American, a few places to sit outside. Enjoyed out breakfast!

This place is fantastic! It was cozy and quaint and a totally cute place to eat. There’s only about 8 tables inside and when we went there were only a couple other tables occupied. The food is fantastic! I got the vegetarian sandwich and home fries and they are both DELISH! My boyfriend ordered some kind of soup made of beets and I thought it sounded kinda nasty, but I tried it and it was amazing! He loved it too. He ordered a sandwich with sausage and something else(sorry!) and he loved it. Both our plates came with two pieces of fruit(a slice of cantaloupe and a half a pear). The espresso was good, too. I wish I had had room for dessert because their dessert menu looked really good. I was really looking forward to the nutella crepes, so you’ll have to try them for me! Service was great. We had a warm greeting, prompt service, great food. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This is based strictly on our service experience. If you are willing to deal with horrible service for mediocre food, go for it. We walked in on a winter Thursday at two to an empty restaurant. We were seated and gave our drink orders. My girlfriend received a half full cup of coffee and a received a can of Mountain Dew and a glass of ice. Not off to a good start. When we ordered our food our waitress was extremely rude. I asked for the Reuben and was greeted with a sarcastic«no.» My girlfriend asked for no pickles and was told she would get extra pickles. Now I get her sense of humor as an industry professional, but when I go out I want to be treated like everyone else. I guess that is too much to ask for in a place like this. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was mediocre at best. The waitress was extremely nosy throughout our meal. This is the type of service you see on restaurant: stakeout. As we received our check something seemed wrong. I did the math and she had overcharged us. I confronted her about this and blew it off due to tax. Needless to say I am very disappointed. If I could fire her I would. I hope the owner reads this and makes some much needed changes.

This is our favorite breakfast spot in Manitou Springs. The potatoes are perfectly cooked and seasoned EVERYTIME, they stuff the omelets with lots of ham and REAL cheese, and the bread is so tasty I could down an entire loaf in a sitting. I like this place so much I’ve been reluctant to rate it… I don’t want to give away the secret;). Pros: Consistent, quality ingredients. Cons: It is small and can be slow at times. I think it is worth the wait.

AVOID. The woman up front needs a new career. We walked in with our two boys seeking a takeaway latte, and were the only people in the place. We were treated brusquely throughout. For coffee they have 1 size and 1 milk type, which is fine but she acted visibly annoyed I didnt know this. I mentioned adding a Nutella crêpe softly as she walked by, and when she came to the register I repeated it — she responded loudly«I HEARDYOU». After we paid, she offered to bring the crêpe to us outside, which we thought was nice — but after 10 minutes when my wife went in to check, she rolled her eyes saying«it’s right there», and pointed to the styrofoam box sitting on the counter. We are friendly people. She is not. Don’t reward bad behavior, there are many places in Manitou that will gladly welcome your business.

Its cozy, its quaint and that’s where the fun ends. The service was friendly, but disconbobulated and disturbingly slow. in face, I came in for lunch at 11:55 and was still wiating for my food at 12:40. The goulash finally arrived and frankly it was just not very good. The eggs noodles were fine for for $ 14.00 You’d expect some saunceand a bit more than a few chnunks of mover cooked meat. So many better options in Manitou.
