This place is terrible. Food is bland, and seemed to have been sitting out for a while. Will definitely not be coming back.

If i could give this place less than one star I would, but the servers were nice so hence a star. The food was not good. It made me and my hubby’s stomachs turn when we got home. The dim sum looked like it was sitting there all day and the leaves that the din sum were sitting on, smelled bad. I know food should be thrown out after a certain time or if the food reaches a certain temperature, but i dont think this place follows that. We are new here so we wanted to try a chinese buffet and we were coming from church and happen to pass by this place. I wish we hadn’t. Their dessert were not good too. If you guys are searching for a good chinese buffet definitely skip this one.

We like the food here and stop to eat every time we are in the area. The food is decent and the staff was friendly.

OUCH! I thought the Fuji Buffet in Syracuse was bad until I found one that was worse. Stay away unless you’re starving or have lost your sense of taste. The photos shown in the Unilocal pics are not true of what I’d seen. I went for lunch and there was hardly any food on the buffet. This was 1:30 pm so I guess they had already given up on the lunch crowd. There were no mussels or peel and eat shrimp like was pictured so I’m not sure how long ago that pic was taken if even taken at this restaurant. I guess I should have known from the other pic which shows a motel sign next to their sign. They did have sushi, but then again so do most supermarkets now. I guess what really got me going was the fact they had no egg rolls. To me that’s the acid test of a China buffet. Not having egg rolls is like an ice cream parlor not having hot fudge. So for me, it was just lots of Lo Mein.

Came here to buy take out for dinner. They weigh the food and was charging me $ 8.00 for fried rice which is not even half of a Styrofoam box. When I told her you are over pricing she changed the price to $ 7.20. I told the lady let me return the item and told me to return the item on the tray which I did. She was not happy and was talking in her Chinese dialect. RUDE… Never will I come back to this stinky place.

Not the best Chinese food in town, but still decent. Staff is really friendly and the place is clean, but their selection is not the best. Good chow mein, but the fried foods taste monotonous — no really unique sauces to differentiate their flavors. Not a bad place if you’re looking for a buffet, but there are better options if you are in the mood for Chinese.

I came here once around 4 or 5 years ago and while they weren’t great back then, the price still made them a decent choice to go to. Had I rated them on my first visit I would have give them a 3. A small selection of food but for $ 10 you couldn’t really complain. They have seafood, sushi and Mongolian BBQ as well as the usual assortment of Chinese food. The lack of many dishes that the average Chinese buffet would have wouldn’t bother me too much if it meant that the food was especially tasty or fresh, that was not the case in this instance. I think the problem today was that they weren’t busy enough for the food to get finished and replaced so it ended up sitting around and all the crunchy stuff got soggy. That’s a definite –1 to 2 stars right off the back. Like I said they were average before but this time just sub par. But I’d be willing to give them a 2nd chance. Just because they are cheap and close by tho.

I was expecting a bit more from here, but I can’t complain. The ladies are very friendly and they have it very clean. They have these fried chicken wings that I loved ! As I was serving myself they had a variety of sea food, chicken, sushi bar, a stir-fry section, and a desert section. There was a man behind the stir-fry section on his phone while he was cooking very unsanitary.

My kids and I have always like to come here whenever my wife had other plans. It didn’t matter to us that the place was run down with cracks in the ceiling, cracked table tops and cracked leather seating. The last time we went, the food was very cold and not very good. Being that we’ve gone here for years, we figured it was just an off night. We tried again tonight. Holy smokes. BIGMISTAKE. Unfortunately, the food was not good and pretty cold. The atmosphere declined even more with parts of the ceiling even falling down and garbage bags holding up the ceiling tiles from, which I assuming, leakage if it rains. The staff seemed run down as well, with the only smile being when we got the bill and when we were paying. It took about 30 minutes of being home when all of us were running to the restroom. Thank goodness we have enough bathrooms or it’d be quite messy. It’s one thing to not like the food or think it’s not to your temperature or flavor. It’s another when it is so bad it makes a whole family sick. Unfortunately, our favorite restaurant is no longer. They just don’t care about what they are serving anymore and clearly about the atmosphere they serve in.

Half of the food should be thrown out… like it’s been sitting here since noon. Instead they just stir it around to make it look fresh. Its dried out. Like they coat the chow mein and rice with oil so it lasts longer? Very oily. The best items were the cream cheese puffs. When you call and ask if they have garlic chicken they say«oh yes, we have garlic chicken. Our customers really love it.» They do NOT have the traditional garlic fried chicken. They have chicken in a garlic sauce. There’s a definite language barrier when you ask them a question. I doubt that I will be back. p/s I got«sick» within 30 minutes after eating here…

IF you like old staled flavorless dog food, THENTHISISYOURPLACE!!! Otherwise take your money and buy a 20 dollar lotto ticket instead, as this would be a better use of your money than eating here. My wife and I decided to try this place after even reading the mixed reviews here on Unilocal, how anybody can give this place more than 2 stars is way beyond me must have smoking crack before eating here, as this place blows my mind that it still is in business or that the health dept hasn’t closed them down. We went to the buffet steam tables and smelled this off pudding stench, but thought it was caused by something we couldn’t put your fingers on, so we loaded our plates with what we thought was buffet chinese food, but in reality it was old, dried out mystery meat and had no real flavor, like the lemon chicken and the beef jerky on a stick and nasty sushi rolls my cat would run away from it. OK I said my piece, if you still feel up to trying it, its not like I didn’t warned you, just keep your health insurance up to date, just in case, I will never ever go place to this garbage dump again and for those who tried and warn me Im sorry I didn’t heed the truth they had said here on Unilocal

Have lived here over a year and decided to try this place out. We were very disappointed! . Only thing that was really palatable was the Sushi. The food just didn’t taste good at all, just very poor quality. Their broccoli beef sauce had a really bad flavor. In a nutshell, we didn’t leave full like you usually do at a buffet style restaurant. Can’t speak in regards to the Mongolian BBQ, as we didn’t bother trying it being as everything else was pretty bad. Was very disappointed. We will not be back.

I decided to try Super Buffet since I’ve moved to Manteca in 2013 and this is a place I’ve been meaning to cross of my list since moving. I turned to Unilocal for reviews first, but it didn’t help since there are a mix of highs and lows. It wasn’t the worst place but it certainly wasn’t good either. What bugged me the most was the constant smell of something burnt and the taste in the back of my mouth almost everything gave me, almost akin to rubber or plastic… can someone explain that? Anyway, it’s getting two stars because it did have some things that were pretty good like the crab legs and even the salmon nigiri sushi was all right. The spring rolls were nice as well but the sweet and sour sauce just tasted off to me as well. I’m thinking maybe I just happened to go on an «off» day for the place? I mean it has some high reviews here for a reason, right? Either way, I won’t return for a while. I’d rather pay $ 40+ to order out from Mei Mei’s Chinese than come here any time soon. Step up your game, Super Buffet!

Review for my First &LAST time coming here. Coming in the front staff ignored us until we asked if we could sit. I wasn’t aware that you don’t pay until AFTER you eat because apparently they base it on how much food you eat versus what you«waste» or throw out. Kind of defeats the«All You Can Eat» motto most buffets have. We are very against food waisting, but I don’t think it’s good business to call yourself a buffet then base your prices on how many plates one grabs?.. Anyway, we come in during lunch on a weekend. The buffet options look old and greasy. My kids didn’t like much, I was afraid to try more then a few items because of how old food looked. My husband went to the section where they fresh fry things for you & that looked WAYBETTER then the stuff sitting at the buffet! Desserts look store bought & scares. None had flavor so we try the ice cream in the freezer. However they have NO scooper! Only a spoon that makes it really hard to grab the treat with. Lastly, when my kids had to use the restroom 2 out of 3 stalls are either being used as storage for cleaning supplies or broken down. The 1 functioning stall looked like the toilet was a day away from ripping off the foundation. Overall the place looks like it gets a steady steam of customers so maybe we just don’t get it?! Deffinetly not somewhere I’ll waste my money again!

I’ve been eating at this location since the 70s, back when it was Brawley’s. The interior was remodeled a few years ago by the current owner and if you tried Super Buffet before the remodel, you owe it to yourself to try again. It’s really quite nice inside. Having said that, I always take-out. I live nearby and I much prefer pigging out at home without the racket of the other customers.(A quiet meal is more important to me than a tasty meal!) Still, it’s usually not a particularly noisy place, depending on how many squalling kids and ignorant parents are present. Also, they are kind enough to not inflict that freekin’ rock ‘n roll on their customers as so many places now do. I think their food is excellent. They prepare chicken in about a dozen ways and I like ‘em all. I always arrive just after the open at 11:00 a.m. when the food has just been set out. The flavor is good and their take-out containers are big enough to stuff in over two pounds of good Chinese food. I have to limit my visits to about once a month. If I didn’t have to worry about my diet, I’d likely eat there two or three times a week! mmmmm. This review made me hungry. I’m heading over there this morning as soon as they open!
