El Taco Y La Torta

The best authentic Mexican restaurant we have tried in Manville. Everything seemed to be made with fresh ingredients, especially the big, fat burritos they offer. We were greeted with free chips and two types of salsa (green and a hot red). We have been there twice. Price is good for the location and quality of food.
Note that the paragraph above was written several months ago when we first found out about YTYLT. Although the food is EXCELLENT, and is what keeps us coming back, we are knocking off a star due to poor management/​customer service experiences.
Perhaps we shouldn’t expect perfect service at what seems to be a family owned shop, a shop that seems to be struggling to get on its feet. But we simply can’t ignore when the water is brought out at room temperature and without ice (first world problem, I know). Or when one of the two free salsas is not brought out with the free chips, when the table behind us clearly has both. Or, most frighteningly, the sales tax added to our bill always seems to be $ 2 exactly, no matter the original subtotal of the bill.
Go for the food, not the service. You can fill two people up for less than $ 25.

Not happy with the customer service. I’d rather go to Agave, Welcome Paisas, or even Moes over this place!
I went in there with an entertainment book coupon a bit ago. The young lady at the counter refused to take it stating that they just bought the place recently. Furthermore, when I asked if there was a way to get comped in any way since the coupon did say it was valid… the lady said she would not help us. To blatantly refuse & not offer any kind of compensation is not the way to start out a business. She seemed disinterested in even engaging with me. It felt rude. I cannot comment on the food as after that I chose not to eat there. This place seems to change owners quite a bit.
The ambiance matches that of a humble fast food place that was just starting out. I hope the attitude has changed since there, but I won’t return there.

They keep changing owners but the food is pretty good and authentic. I hope these new people last a while.
