Who would have thought there would be a Glatt Kosher restaurant in Manville, New Jersey? Manville(yes — the home of John’s Manville, King of Asbestos) houses a Glatt Kosher Chinese Restaurant. It sits on the main street in a small storefront. You are greeted by their Mashgiach, the person who certifies that the food is Kosher. Don’t expect Shrimp or Pork, none of that is on the menu. Veal replaces pork and there is no seafood. We had a large group — 10 people in a sort of family reunion. Just about everything you would expect to see in a traditional Americanized Chinese restaurant is on the menu. We tried many items from Chow Mein to Chow Fun; from Roasted Duck to Vegetable Fried Rice to their House Tofu. Soup to nuts and even desert. For those of you who are concerned about the Kosher food — all of their deserts are Parve(no milk). I tried their Tiramisu. If you didn’t tell me it had no dairy I would have believed you. But, it is completely Parve. They do a decent business. But they do a great catering business also. They deliver from South Jersey to Westchester County and out to Long Island. Service was great. It is owned by a Chinese family that saw the opportunity for a business that was needed in the area. And, it worked. We will definitely return on our next visit to the area.

I’ve been going here for a few years now and I’ve never been disappointed. They have delicious appetizers including kosher spareribs! Everything is flavorful and delicious. They are also very reliable for delivery and takeout.

It’s all about the food and lins is the best. I’ve eaten by expensive Chinese restaurant’s and they don’t compare to the great food you’ll get here at a fraction of the price. I’m picky, I know what I’m talking about!

Wow! What a great find! I just stopped by with my son to grab a bite to go and had to write a review. For the first time in a long time I am not staring at my lomein wondering if it’s chicken! Lol Very high quality good cuts of chicken. Flavor is excellent and the service was fast and friendly. The owner was such a nice guy to have a chat with AND a former Cub Scout Leader so we had a lot to talk about. Check out this restaurant — you won’t be disappointed !

I eat regularly at lin’s kosher Chinese restaurant and it is great. To start off order the wonton soup which is all beef and great. For an entrée I would recommend general tso’s chicken or their orange beef. Also, the restaurant is not usually that crowded so the service is great. I would definitely recommend for anyone who likes Chinese food to come here.

I was a regular here after discovering them my senior year in college. The best kosher Chinese food I’ve had. I particularly enjoyed that dishes like orange beef and crispy beef which feature light, crispy breading rather than the thick breading common at other Chinese places I’ve been to. I never had a problem with the service and appreciated their willingness to deliver over a relatively wide geographic area.

Really great food and service! We ordered the General Tzao’s Chicken and the Beef Lo Mein. I recommend both dishes(We asked for a spicey version of the Lo Mein and it was delicious!!!) It was the best Kosher General Tzao’s Chicken I’ve ever tasted!

After an enjoyable catered dinner two days earlier from this restaurant, we took the opportunity to stop here for dinner on our way home from a b-day party in Central Jersey. The food and service, however, were disappointing. Both of our soups were cold, and my hot and sour was neither hot nor spicy. Fortunately I ordered the dumplings, too, and these were much better. Sesame chicken was passable, but the Szechuan beef was lacking in flavor, depth and even a hint of kick. To top it off, the waitress«aggressively cautioned» us against giving chopsticks to our five-year-old, and the bathrooms are icky. I haven’t had meat dishes at our local Chinese favorites, but I’m wholly confident I would be enamored in comparison. Not running back, but I might consider going back and insisting on making the dishes spicy.
