By far one of the better Chinese restaurant I have tried. Especially the salt and pepper shrimp.

I was excited to finally try the honey walnut prawns my husband had been raving about. They were good but the resulting stomach cramps and nausea all night lead me to believe something wasn’t right. The kids had sweet and sour chicken which looked like deep fried chicken toes and the red sauce tasted very fishy. Literally. I’m glad they all had a better experience last time.

Take out took an hour to complete with only 2 tables in the restaurant. No host at the table and servers were rude to people completely confused if they can take more tables or not.

I’ve been coming here for years, even when I lived in Auburn I would make the trip up here for take out or dine in. I would come on Tuesday or Wednesday nights as those usually are the less crowded nights. Friday and Saturday night tend to be pretty crowded and can slow things down. Love the food! Always comes out piping hot and the different sauces are delicious.

This is our favorite restaurant for Chinese food. Everything seems to be well cooked, not overly greasy, and fresh vegetables. The staff is very friendly. We go here a couple of times a month.

It’s ok. I don’t love it, but don’t hate it. I was hungry, and this was the closest one nearby while running errands. I had the Mongolian beef and fried rice. It came with soup, sweet and sour. Kind of sweet and greasy.

Reliable, fast service. I ordered a lunch special with egg flower soup, an egg roll(more of a spring roll), shrimp with lobster sauce, fried rice and a fortune cookie. Packed in the bag was a plastic fork, soup spoon and sauces. The portions are not overly generous but adequate and still warm when I got home.

Tasty Chinese in maple valley! Food is pretty consistent and service is excellent. Recommend the string beans and pork/beef, great brown garlic sauce. Solid hot and sour and the BESTBBQ pork around, get it warm!

The best Chinese in Maple Valley. I go with the king pow chicken most times, but the general Tao chicken is pretty good too. They have kids meals and take out too, and the service is always good. We definitely recommend golden chopsticks.

My family has had good experiences here on several occasions. Dine-in only. We have found the food to be flavorful and the portion sizes generous. The service has been prompt and friendly every time. It is a bit of a drive but if we are in Maple Valley this place is always on the«finalist» list for a meal.

This place is horrible. Sat. 3⁄22 my family and I went to Moon’s Garden across the street and that place was packed. Because we were starving we decided to go to this place. When we got there no other customers were in the restaurant and I now know why. We’ve eaten here before and the food is okay, that’s why we go to Moon’s Garden, better food. Took a loot at the menu and everything is around 1 to 2 dollars more than Moon’s, okay not that big of a deal. I ask the server, «can I switch out the House Special(whatever it was) for the Mongolian Beef? Since it’s less than the house will I be charged a change fee»? «Yes, that is our policy». Hey buddy, I understand policy but no one is eating at your place and it’s a Sat night. You may want to change your policy or close shop. We left this place and went to another of our favorites 4 Corners Teriyaki.

I like this place. My wife and I eat here a couple times a month(usually take-out). They claim to be the best Chinese restaurant in Maple Valley, and I think they are right(they also happen to be the –only– Chinese restaurant in Maple Valley, lol). I’ve had almost everything on the menu, it’s all good. Oh, and my other favorite thing: when you walk in and order take-out, they have it ready in under 10 min.

This place is awesome for Chinese food! Great price, lots of food and the people that work there are REALLY nice. Their BBQ’d pork is the best I have ever had!!! Don’t miss out on trying this. All of their food has depth in flavor, it’s not just fried lumps of meat in their Kung Pow chicken, it has a great garlicky flavor, then the sweet and spicy on top of it. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly the restaurant does not seem busy but then again there are a lot of take out orders. The owners are very nice and cook a delicious meal. I enjoy the general tsaos as well as their fried rice. The setting is dim and peaceful an the music is relaxing. I come here whenever I am in this area and recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Came in ordered take out. Cashier rang me up twice accidentally. Food took 40 minutes(only ordered 3 items). While waiting for food two other people came in to pickup and the food wasn’t ready for them either. Seemed very slow. Cashier was nice. Food was decent. Food seems around $ 10 – 12 per entrée. Wasn’t bad. Probably won’t order take out again from there.

I think other Unilocalers have really underrated this restaurant. To eliminate any confusion, this space used to be home to one of the two locations of Golden Phoenix, a different restaurant which still operates, now at a single location in Covington. The new owners for the Maple Valley space changed the name, but kept the previous owners’ menu largely intact, however they stepped everything up a notch. Golden Chopsticks is a substantial improvement. The dishes now seem to have much brighter flavors and better texture, the presentation is more attractive, and the service is more warm and personal. The generous BBQ pork appetizer is a(delicious) meal in itself. A couple of of my favorite(among many) standout dishes is the Golden Sesame Chicken and the Crispy Orange Beef(beautifully presented encircled with orange slices). Soup lovers will love the textbook egg flower soup. It would be impossible to list all of the dishes that are made really well at Golden Chopsticks. The restaurant has a full bar, and they feature a delicious array of classic tropical cocktails, which perfectly compliment Asian cuisine. Hint: order the«Scorpion Bowl» for two… you won’t regret it. The décor at Golden Chopsticks is several notches above all of the other Asian Restaurants in and around Maple Valley. The space is charming, bright, extremely clean, and comfortable. Of course, the entire menu is available for takeout as well. Maple Valley now has many new restaurants, and residents naturally tend to flock to the newest option. But if you haven’t been to Golden Chopsticks for a while, you owe it to yourself to go back. Great food and a very good value for your hard-earned dollar.

Great BBQ pork, some of the best I’ve had, everything else was as expected. Good service, they handled our large group well! *Large round table with lazy susan could use some beefing up, or a thicker top, as it’s very tippy with minimum elbowage!

Pretty tasty Chinese food. Service is good. Fried chicken wings are to die for! They are the best and it doesn’t really taste like it’s a Chinese dish. Just a hint of ginger in there, but it taste damn good and made fresh! Their combination plates are reasonably priced and a good portion.
