Recently stopped by this store and to my surprise, they have expanded on even more natural hair products that you normally can only get online. This beauty supply store is the real deal. Go see for yourself, you too will be delighted. Two thumbs up to the owner Chris… you’re the man!!!

They follow you around like you are a criminal. Mostly when you go to the back of the store where all the braiding hair is. It is not acceptable at all! They must think every black woman that looks very young, will try to walk out with packs of hair!!! I mean really come on. Take your money elsewhere.

This place is fully stocked with natural hair products which I like of course. However, I will never shop there again. They will follow you around like a damn doc. This is unacceptable to me, I can buy hair products anywhere, online or make my own.

I never frequent beauty supply stores in NJ because of how they purposefully keep Blacks out of the market. Nevertheless, I was desperate for Aphogee and it was the only place I could find it. It’s the largest beauty supply store I’ve been too with the most extensive array of products I have ever seen. The prices are on par with Target(but still more expensive than online) and it’s a 10 dollar minimum to use your card.

If your prefer the trickery of weaves and or wigs this is your place. If you prefer the love of your curls kinks or naps there is a SMALL section.

They have a GREAT selection of hair, body and hygiene products. They selection of black hair care products is borderline overwhelming. From relaxed to natural to wig and weave care, they have just about every product you can think of. They also have a decent wig and track selection and the owners are very knowledgeable. I’m a naturalista so I was looking for Shea Moisture(which they have a great variety) and Mixed Chicks, which I’ve yet to use. Some of their natural products are a little pricey, but for the most part they are very reasonable.

There is nothing like Mins, it has EVERYTHING! It is a girl’s dream come true for beauty products! The owner is amazing, knowledge and will provide you with any help and product info you need. Ladies with NON-straight hair, look no further, this place it all and then some! I’m Latina with Curls and Mins has all my beauty supplies. Thanks Mins!

When I lived in Maplewood and in Irvington this was my local beauty supply store. I don’t live as close now and I still go here from often cuz I know more than likely i’ll find what I need here. I mean they literally have everything! It’s also pretty clean, the Asian dude @ the front desk is pretty cool… all these years I haven’t had a problem with him. I don’t know if she is still there but there is a Black girl there that helps you with weaves and even products… she’s pretty awesome… she used to work in a spot in Irvington… she was good there too… then she moved to Min’s. They have a large selection of products for natural hair… including Qhemet Biologics(which is a pretty awesome hair care line). The fact that they carry Qhemet sets them above the rest for me. Its never hella crowded in there — so you have room and time to roam around. For a beauty supply store… they can be a bit pricey. Yeah thats about it — its just a pretty reliable beauty supply store.
