Visiting from Fort Hood. Waited 15 mins before a waitress came to take our drink order. The stuffed Tilapia filling was good. The 2 stars is for the decent food. The lack of the 3 others is for poor service. Asked for unsweetened tea. Got sweet tea. Kids menu claims sherbert is free for the kids. Got charged over $ 3 per kids scoop of sherbert. For a Fathers Day lunch this wasn’t a very good experience. You can get the same quality of food with better service at a Red Lobster.

Had a late start on our family vacation & decided last minuet to stop at Doc’s. It was fabulous! The beer was cold & they have live music Thursday– Saturday. Band was local & played country & rock. Food was hot & delicious. Had oysters on the ½, they were the biggest we have had & we travel ALOT! Hubby had shrimp Diablo & was even better when we had them put it on a bed of rice. Only reason I’m giving them 4 stars is because they had amble staff & I had to ask twice for a drink refill.

Looks like 3 stars could be stretch. Broiled scallops under-seasoned and bacon not crisp. Not sure pecans go together. Hmm have to think about that. Nice music anyway.

First time I ate here was fantastic. But my Husband and I went with my Grandmother yesterday and I was disappointed. First our server Hugo was super happy the rare few moments we actually saw him. My husbands drink went empty at least 4 times and as soon as our check was paid he disappeared even though my grandmother was still working on her meal and we needed refills. The food was just as good as last time but I hated that I ordered the Fishermans platter and received 4 small pieces of the fried crawfish where as I got a large handful the last visit. I will be back with hopes for a better experience.

I had the shrimp and she had the steak. The steak was very good as were the shrimp(nice light breading) She loved the blue cheese dressing and the hush puppies were the best I’ve ever had. The loaded baked potatoe was great as well. We would go back when in the area. I almost forgot. The dinner rolls are spectacular!!!

Docs has been sold recently. Bill is no longer there. We went last nite and had crawfish that were cold. Other people in our group also were disappointed with their food. Service was awful. Docs has been deteriorating over the last few months. Now we know why. Goodbye and good luck to Bill. And it’s goodbye to docs for us.

Wish we had read the recent reviews before stopping in! My grandmother and I were on our way back from a weekend trip and decided to stop at Doc’s for dinner. My grandmother had been a handful of times over the past years and said the food was always good. It seems things have changed recently! It took over 45 minutes for our food to come out, and it wasn’t a full house; also our server only checked on us twice(to take our order and once to say sorry it was taking so long) despite walking right by our table over a dozen times… He seemed new due to not being familiar with answers to our questions about the menu, plus we had to grab his attention to get the check and had other people refill our drinks. I ordered the fried oysters which came out so tough and chewy that I couldn’t eat half of them. And I mean literally half of every single oyster on the plate had a tough, rubber-like chunk that I couldn’t even bite through! A couple of the oysters were also full of the black dirt/grit and tasted like straight up dirt. My grandmother had a shrimp salad and the boiled shrimp on it were hot; generally boiled shrimp are not served hot, plus the salad part wast just meh. When we told the server about the oysters he looked puzzled and was like«Oh man, I’ll have to tell the kitchen the oysters were terrible.» And then went and printed our check… I had to just ask if he could discount part of the oysters since I couldn’t even eat half of them and then he said«Ummm, I’ll have to ask a manager.» I’m not entirely sure if he actually spoke to a manager because I’m pretty sure I saw the host helping him type in a discount, plus no manager ever came to speak to us. I’ve worked in restaurants, everyone else in my family has worked in restaurants, we even owned a restaurant when I was younger; when a customer complains about the food, a manager almost always appears to handle it personally. Especially if the customer is asking for a discount. Anyway, we got $ 4ish off a $ 15 plate, which was not really worth it. We were so tired of messing with that place we just paid and left and decided to never go back again. I really wish I had take a picture of the food for all to see. The ONLY good thing about it was the stuffed mushroom appetizer, it was delicious… But it was like a plate of lies that lead us into a trap of disappointment!

They’re lucky you have to put one star. We went here on a whim because they were open past 9pm. Not only did they grimace when we walked in at 9:30, they were sweeping/cleaning well before closing. We were reluctantly seated and asked if we ready to order within seconds of opening up a novel of a menu. We asked for a few minutes and got a few more seconds. We had to ask three times for a few more minutes, seems like they were rushing us. I ordered a stuffed sweet potato with a side salad. Let me tell you, the sweet potato was the«last one they had» which was about two bites worth. Note the picture with the scale of two sugar packets next to it. My BF got shrimp Alfredo that tasted like they bought the jar of Ragu and just heated it in the microwave. Do yourself a favor, eat somewhere else with better service and quality seafood.

This was a very complicated experience. Locating the waiter was quite a task & the ordering process was even worse. Normally when a customer asks for a substitution, we normally understand the up charge per request. Simple enough but we were told ‘no’. About fifteen minutes later the waiter told us they had changed their minds & we agreed to the change. Then he came back & asked if we were sure we wanted to pay $ 25 for this plate. By now, I’m just irritated because I don’t like getting ping ponged. Honestly, I didn’t even enjoy the food. Portions were EH& customer service was EH. Besides the hostess being sweet, this was a pretty disappointing & non likable experience.

Docs never disappoints me. It’s my favorite place to eat every time I stop through Marble Falls. The gumbo is off the chain! And I HIGHLY suggest the pan fried tilapia or the broiled scallops. I can’t wait to stop in again soon!

Overpriced and overcooked. The red snapper was so tough, you had to cut it with a knife and it was 22.99!!! Also had the Diablo shrimp and it was also not good. Not sure how you mess up bacon wrapped shrimp, jalapeño and cheese but they managed to do it. Service was great, beer cold but food was truly terrible. I hope they get a new cook in there…

Two of us ordered the lunch special of Grilled Chicken with a special sauce. One plate had a nice piece of chicken the other a much smaller flat piece of chicken. We called it to the attention of the waitress and one other person that worked there. Both of them said it comes frozen and each weighs 5 oz so we are wrong. Hmmm It was mid afternoon and not to many people there and it took quite some time to get our order. Will not be going back.

Doc’s Seemed like it was very busy judging by all the cars outside and boy i was right! I ordered the catfish po’boy and wasn’t impressed. It didn’t have alot of flavor to it and was rather dry. The hush puppies on the other hand were really good. Service was below-average. If I’m in Marble Falls again, I’ll pass.

We like going to Doc’s ! The food is great, the service is fast, friendly, and accurate, and the prices are reasonable. Our particular favorite is the Thursday prime rib special. There’s a coupon on their website which will get you two prime rib dinners for $ 9.95 each. This includes salad, rolls, loaded baked potato, and a slab of prime rib au jus. You only have to purchase any kind of beverage to get the special price. Try it… you’ll like it!

Everything here is great. We’ve been back a few times and tried a pretty decent cross-section of the menu. From the drinks(both adult and otherwise) to the food(fried and otherwise), everything is excellent. We are avid seafood lovers and this place never fails to satisfy.

Tripadvisor and Unilocal have this place at over 3 stars. I question the taste buds of anyone who would give it more then a star. It gets the second star because the service was good. This place while having a decent menu, is really overpriced. We split a combo plate, which was 28 bucks, and it honesty had very little flavor. Steak was cooked to temp, despite how thin it was. But liked flavor it tasted like soy sauce. Weird but that’s the flavor I can most closely relate it to. Sides were under seasoned and bland. Kids meals were okay, they had shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. The sauce was very congealed and very salty. The kids didn’t care but it’s what I tasted. For the 80 bucks plus tip we spent, I would have rather had subway. And that’s saying a bunch. Two stars. Wouldn’t eat here again.

The father in law was in town and we were looking to try something new. They both had the chicken fried steak and enjoyed it. My father in law said the coleslaw tasted almost as good as home made. The also agreed that the chicken fried steak was huge and they could of split one. I ordered a bowl of the gumbo and hush puppies. Both were very good. The service was okay, Our waitress seemed to have forgotten us at first, but made up for it later. Overall a good place to eat, and I look forward to trying some of the other items on the menu.

First off — don’t come here expecting much:) It’s nothing fancy but I’ve always loved my food! I’ve been here many times over the years and I always get the stuffed crab. It comes with two of them and a side I think. It’s pretty good! And last time we got the buffalo shrimp for an appetizer — I’ve been craving that ever since! Ive also tried some of my boyfriends fried oysters which I didn’t like because they coat them with cornmeal. Not my favorite. But if you’re into that than I’m sure you’ll like them. Every time we’re in Marble Falls and looking for somewhere to eat I suggest this place! Service is a hit or miss but the food usually makes up for it if you get less than stellar service.
