Very good food, nice ambiance, and great service… at a reasonable price. This is our restaurant of choice for special occasions.

Been here a few times, and each time all the food ordered is delicious. Excellent gulf oysters on the half shell, the best seared scallops I’ve ever had(cue drool), and melt-in-your-mouth steak are just a few of the favorites we’ve had. Only issue is that this place is pretty pricey. Expect to pay $ 25 or more per plate. Excellent choice for birthdays, anniversaries, or Valentines if you can get a table. Planning on going here for my birthday dinner!

Decided to try Aspens since we have never been. After reading the reviews I felt confident that it was the right decision. Make sure to make a reservation. We had a 7:15 reservation for 4 and arrived a bit early. They directed us to the bar area because the table would not be ready until 7:15. The bar area was very busy but we did manage to snag two seats by the fire which was nice. Upon being seated, I will say that they booths are very tight for four. Not much elbow room. Our server came to the table and opened our wine(that we had brought, they do have a cork fee). He explained the special, as well as mentioned the prices which I really like. This does not happen everywhere, but it should! He brought us bread and a small bowl of a garlic spread. I wasn’t a big fan of this and would have rather it been butter. We opted for a dozen raw oysters and they deviled eggs. I thought the oysters were very small, but they were tasty. My husband liked the eggs, but I felt they should have had a bit more seasoning. Upon ordering, we decided to split our dinners. I ordered the prime rib medium rare, my friend ordered the bone-in filet. We ordered five sides; mashed potatoes, steamed spinach, mushroom risotto, gouda grits, and a corn mixture. The bone-in filet was one of the best steaks I have ever had!!! So full of taste that you can only get with a bone-in steak. The prime rib was also very tasty! The sides were all very good, but the corn dish and the grits were the winners! I asked for a bowl of the lobster bisque, but they forgot to bring it out. I had to mention twice, so just decided to forget it. They brought out a sample of the soup for all of us to try free. I will say that although tasty, very salty. The atmosphere is very nice. I would recommend for a special evening.

The décor when you walk in is quite stunning. Definitely a date spot. Before seating, you can sit by the fireplace in the middle of the restaurant and have a cocktail. For the money that we spent, we would have expected more. While my wife enjoyed her special filet on the bone, I thought my filet mignon was subpar. We would have chosen a grass fed steak if they had offered. Pretty much everything was over salted. In my opinion, the busboys lack manners! They were taking away the finished dishes while I was eating! Although we may come here for a drink at the bar, I’d rather spend the money at another steak joint. We just haven’t found the spot yet.

Went there with friends. Great, cozy ambiance. Matt, our waiter was wonderful. All our cocktails were perfect. Everything from the starter, Bruschetta, to the entrée– mine was the trout — to the yummy carrot cake was scrumptious!

First time here with a group of friends last night. Service was great. Way over priced just like Ruth Chris. The bisque was good but the ribeye steak was just bland. My husband makes better steaks on the grill. Seriously save your money and go to Outback, Long Horns and or Texas Roadhouse. The atmosphere is not worth $ 100 a couple unless you have money to burn.

Went here last night for a birthday dinner. Had to wait a bit for a table bc it was packed! Good bar and drink selection while you wait. Once we were seated the food was great… started with the lobster bisque which was very tasty. Has a Kansas City strip with green beans. Love that they do their own butchering so you can get a variety of cuts and sizes. Steak was good and perfect rare preparation. They brought a piece of cake for the birthday on the house which I thought was nice. Ordered the mousse in addition and it was great. Really chocolately!

I went to Aspens for the first time a few weeks ago and was not disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful… and so are the hostesses ;-) I was sat down and offered a drink, so of course, I ordered some red wine(I’m so bad I know). For my main course, I ordered a medium rare steak and french fries with a side of 5 oysters(Oysters were a little pricey but nonetheless the best I have ever had). The staff was incredibly nice so I left a generous tip. No complaints lol!

Many ways to start with appetizers. Icy blue mussels are very good. The oysters special was a big surprise. Beef tenderloin bruschetta had great meat — lots of other peepers and onions which may have been too much. The chicken schnitzel was amazingly light and delightful. Couldn’t comprehend how good it was. The burger was a big hit and very filling. We swapped out the fried shrimp for grilled and it was very good. The meatloaf was too much to eat… bring a big appetite. Try the pine ridge Chenin blanc wine if you’re looking for something very different but sweet.

Dining: very pleasant atmosphere, get a booth they are nice. Service: on point and knowledgeable Food: everything was tasty and enjoyed the various steaks. Overall, I felt it was a little heavy on the pricing for the food I received. My food came with rice and asparagus. They could have boosted up the rice a bit more and a few more spears to balance out the plate. Great meal just wanted a little more savory bites together.

I’ve been coming here for special occasions since I was a kid. Their steak is to die for and their bacon mac and cheese is my favorite thing on the menu. I’ve come here for my birthday about 5 times now and every time, my family is treated with warmth and hospitality. The manager even came over to our table and told my cousin that he liked her personality and friendliness so much, if she wanted to she could work there! If you order before 6 o clock, they have an early bird menu which is $ 6 – 8 cheaper and with the same portions. On sundays they have a brunch buffet and while it’s pretty pricey($ 22 i think) they have a variety of items, from salmon and steak, to mashed potatoes and belgian waffles, its a pretty decent sunday brunch.

My first experience here turned out to be disappointing evening. I knew that Aspen would be a pricey restaurant and I eat at more upscale establishments quite often. Price is not an issue with me, however I expect high quality food and service for a higher price. I didn’t feel like I got what I paid for at all. I ordered the grass fed NY strip and there was a huge strip of fat running the edge of the steak. Grass fed beef should never have that much fat and even if it did why did the chef not trim the stake prior to cooking. The wold experience was middle of the road at best. Overall there are much better high end steak houses around.

Our friends chose this spot for a farewell dinner of sorts. I love steak, so I was definitely game! We were seated promptly at a booth that was a bit too small to fit 4 fully-sized adults, but we managed and stayed cozy(maybe perfect for a first date that’s also a double date?!). We ordered a bottle of wine right off the bat and were surprised that we were IDed — obviously we’re not trying to shirk the law, just surprised that a nice steakhouse would card us, especially when we’re talking about a bottle of wine and not cheap booze. My husband and I shared the risotto fritters to start. I really liked the touch of goat cheese in the middle, but I felt the marinara on top made the fritters a little soggy. For that reason, I’d like to see either less sauce, or the sauce served on the side. But, I thought they were delicious, and a take on arancini I have not seen before. They come four to a plate, but we chose not to share as our friends order the bruschetta and neither of us are fans of that dish in general. For dinner, I had the filet. When it was delivered the server asked us to cut into it(!) to check the temperature. I had ordered mine medium rare and before cutting into it, I pressed the top of the steak and could tell it was under. I really didn’t want to cut into it, knowing that it might cook a little more as it rested, but I was under pressure. Sure enough, it was more on the rare side. Before I could say anything the server nodded to the table and walked away — so I’m not sure what the point of even asking was, especially knowing my steak would have cooked a little bit more without cutting into it. Luckily, I was OK with this level of rare and decided not to make a scene. Steak was tender and tasty, but seasoned pretty plain — maybe salt & pepper only. I had the peppercorn sauce with it and would definitely recommend the sauce. The clear winner for the sides is the gouda grits: creamy, but also light in a way. Almost like mashed potatoes. They were great, and definitely enough to share between 4 people. We also had the mac & cheese. It was spiral pasta with cheddar sauce and some bacon on top. Reminded me of Velveeta. While it was good, it wasn’t spectacular, and I’m definitely not understanding the $ 7 price tag. Our friends also ordered the creamed corn and that was definitely on point. Not something you’d usually order but worth it. For dessert, our table the s’mores for two as desserts anywhere are normally way too big. It was not clear this was a make-it-yourself dish, but when it arrived, we had enough components for 4 s’mores. Not sure if that’s normal(for two) or if they were just being nice to us. The house-made marshmallows were humongous and very thick — we all spent probably 5 – 7 minutes trying to roast the marshmallow but no one got their marshmallow center to be gooey– they should consider reducing the size of the marshmallow to make it easier. They should also consider providing local chocolate, or varieties of chocolate(like white chocolate, chocolate with toffee, etc) instead of Herhsey’s to make this even more special. But this dessert was definitely a fun way to cap off the night. Overall, it was a good experience, but I would probably choose another place for our next special occassion.

I’ve driven by this place for years, and my wife and I made our first visit earlier this week. My wife had the filet, and I had the bone-in ribeye. Both were fantastic! The baked potatoes were perfectly cooked(not dry), and the Mac-n-cheese with three cheeses and bacon chunks was really, really good. The service was excellent and everyone is super nice. We had a great night out. We will go back.

This place is pretty good, but for the price you can do much better. I recommend trying it, but in the future if I want a good steak and want to spend this much money, I’ll head somewhere else. We had the prime rib(medium) and also had the Salmon. The Salmon was delicious, perfectly cooked, and seasoned well. The prime rib was rather disappointing. It was slightly overcooked from my request of ‘medium’. It was still decent, juicy, tender, but lacked seasoning and soul. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle(cooked very well).

A dissapointing night from what used to be a go-to steakhouse. The server was nice and professional, but a tad slow to attend. The food was OK for the most part, with some sad moments. We went for a birthday celebration, and unfortunately her meal was very poor. First her steak was undercooked, then when brought back out it was charcoal. Yes, they eventually got it right, but that is unacceptable if your specialty is steaks. My dish(Tuna w/risotto) was solid but underwhelming. Not to mention the asparagus was left off, and when I called them on it I was told it was in the risotto. No, no it was not. I was later told it was indeed not, yet not offered anything but an apology. I just feel like with an mid to upper level steakhouse, these were really bad mistakes that probably will cause me not to choose this again for special occasions. I gave the benefit of the doubt with a 3 for previous really good meals, but this certainly brought it back down to just a other steakhouse.

A great night with good friends, good food and good service. It takes a very special place to celebrate our 38th Wedding Anniversary. The night could not have been better. Valerie and her team made sure everything was perfect. To say the least we made several changes to our menu choices and they all were followed to the letter. For anyone looking for the best of the best try Aspens in East Cobb.

Wow what an awesome meal. From the appetizers(steak, goat cheese, roasted peppers &tomato bruschetta, crab cake, oysters, to the lobster bisque & red & gold beet salads. Main courses steaks(fixed prefectly) meatloaf lover was in heaven, then there is the shrimp & grits w/cheese(best grits I’ve ever tried) & then we had to split the chocolate tower. Only thing better than the food was our server Kurin. She is on my top 10 servers of all time list!!!

This is an amazing restaurant and if you’re ever in the Woodstock, Georgia area, I absolutely recommend it highly. It’s basically the perfect date restaurant ever made on the Earth. The food was excellent, the lobster bisque is definitely something you must try. I also had the shrimp and grits dish, with cubes of bacon in it. It was so rich I couldn’t finish it, but I tried! My favorite part of her experience was the custom Smore’s that we had as our dessert. The dessert comes with homemade marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate. It’s served over a little personal sterno flame so you can roast your marshmallows right there on the table. It was the end to a really great night.

This is such a great place! I absolutely love this place! Great Steakhouse if you do not feel like going to Atlanta. Started off with the Maine Lobster Bisque it was WONDERFUL! Had this fried fritter in it loved it! Had the Aspens House Salad which was great! Then did the 8 oz filet it was a GREAT cut of meat! Loved it, cooked well and seasoned well! I ended up having my wedding here! My husband and I eloped and ended up bringing our family here afterwards and it was great! The staff was AWESOME! I will say though some of the food DID come out cold but feeding 50 people at 8pm it probably was not their fault! Enjoyed it here will be coming FORSURE once a year!
