David Douglas Diamonds & Jewelry

BEWARE. My watch was losing time so I took it in for a new battery. They supposedly replaced it but it kept losing time. I took it back. They supposedly put another battery in and said if that didn’t work I’d need to bring it in for repair. Before I spent the money since watches these days shouldn’t need repair, I took it to another jeweler, got a new battery, and it’s worked fine ever since. I don’t think they ever replaced the battery in the first place. Must be a way to get watch repair business. Will never go back!

I could not be happier with my experience at David Douglas Diamonds! Everyone there is extremely friendly. I came in off the street in a t-​shirt and jeans, yet I was still taken seriously and treated with upmost respect. They created a custom-​made ring for me using jewelry from my grandmother. This ring was very sentimental to me, and they understood that from the beginning. They are a family owned and operated business, and this is apparent with their attention to detail, and their pleasant customer relations. Their prices are very competitive and reasonable, as well. They were truly a «diamond in the rough» when it came to my experience with custom jewelers in the Atlanta area.
I went to three other jewelers before coming across David Douglas. At my first experience, a custom jeweler in a Buckhead tower spent our entire meeting trying to upsell me on a design I did not want. At my next experience at a «big box» store, a sales associate typed some info into a computer and came back with a handwritten quote on the back of a business card. Real personal. At my third experience, the jeweler was on the premise, but did not come out to meet with me. Instead, all questions and information were delivered back and forth through a sales associate. Awkward and unprofessional. I left with more questions than answers.
And then, like a flood of light and the end of a tunnel, David Douglas emerged as the clear choice. I walked in, and Nicole was very friendly, asking questions to see what I was looking for. When she saw that I knew what I wanted, she sat me with Joseph, who right off the bat started asking questions about the history of my grandmother’s jewelry, with genuine interest. He was the first jeweler to do this, and I immediately felt as though I was in the right place. Joseph was very informative with the process, keeping me posted along the way, and never making me feel any pressure. His design was stunning, and Haley crafted a gorgeous, breathtaking ring. Right down to the smallest details. I could not be happier with the final product. It is everything I was hoping for, and more!
I was even invited to watch Haley melt the old piece of jewelry into the new ring setting. This was so special to watch. I literally got to see my grandmother’s jewelry transform before my eyes. Thank you so much to DDD for allowing me to experience this.

My go-​to for jewelry repairs! Excellent service with friendly approachable salespeople and knowledgeable on-​site jeweler. Some places try to intimidate you into adding on more repair work, but David Douglas staff explained and laid out all the pros and cons of my available options. GREAT place!

Wonderful experience with David Douglad Diamonds. Joseph created a replica of a family heirloom that was damaged, and I could not be more pleased. Joseph did a fabulous job recreating the details! Perfect birthday gift!

My fiancée and I had a fantastic experience designing an engagement ring at David Douglas Diamonds. Nicole and Joseph were incredibly helpful and friendly, and made our shopping process an adventure to remember. I say «adventure» because we had very specific goals for the ring — namely to create a custom piece using all moissanite stones instead of diamonds. The team at David Douglas were the only jewelers we’d met who were willing to take on the challenge, which included ordering a bunch of small moissanite stones that they’d never had experience working with. But they gave it a shot, did some research/​practicing, and after a couple months of coordination and work they were able to make a beautiful ring that my fiancée loves! She gets compliments frequently about it, and on top of it all the price was great as well!
