Great Expressions Dental Centers Marietta-Summit

Understand that I had to sign up to Unilocal!so that I could even post this about Great expressions and their customer service. Where I was ok with Dr. Azi, the reception staff at this office was horrible and some how yet worse at other offices here in Atlanta.
The inter-​office communication between appointments was nonexistent. The overall attitude of the the receptionists was atrocious. At the powers ferry specialty of the receptionist named Kera was one of a kind rude. Upon entering the office I was scolded for not bringing with me a copy of a referral which was never given to me from the original office at Marietta Summit. Her tone from the beginning was one of having to be put out because she had to do «extra work» to get my referral from the original office. At the original office the same experience was had with the receptionist, her name was Laura or Linda. Ultimately I went to see 4 dentists and specialists for an eval of a possible root canal. 3 people did the highly scientific cold test for that tooth. My last appointment with and specialty dentist who was explained to have special tools and instruments was the last to do a cold test. I imagine all 3 billed for identical services with the last being Dr. Mills who’s professionalism as a dentist was a poor as the receptionist Kera.

Let me first state that my family had been at this office for years when it was under Dr. Delman. Dr. Delman stayed on when the office switched over to Great Expressions and then eventually left, GEDC told his existing patients he had retired when in fact he is actually still in practice. Great Expressions Dental Centers business model is about scamming patients and telling them they need deep cleanings and scaling and fillings and all sorts of treatments they do not need every time they go in for a cleaning. My family and I had left the other Roswell Road location in Marietta when they transitioned over to Great Expressions many, many years ago because they basically told me all my teeth were falling out of my head. Guess what? I still have all my teeth and they are just fine! Their billing practices are completely unethical, they find some way to get money from you for even routine treatments that are 100% covered by insurance, they will not let you out of there without paying them something. Then there’s the erroneous insurance billing, I cannot tell you how many calls I had to make to get money back that was owed me because they over charged me and made me pay up front for things my insurance covered. I did file a complaint with the BBB and GEDC Corporate was on top of it, I will give them that. This location had been fine with me and being right down the street from where I work I decided to hang in there as long as they were doing right by me and for a year or so they were, maybe I was in at the right time of month when they already met their quotas or in between dentists (they have new dentists and hygienists every time you go in), I don’t know but on my last visit they tried to get me. Not sure how my teeth are perfect one cleaning and then I’m told I have 4 cavities that need filling and basically need a root canal the next with no symptoms, no pain nothing and doing nothing different in my daily routine. Since I was well aware of their scam I got out of there and have since switched to Dr. Delman’s office where the rest of my family has been happy for the past several years.
