So let me preface this by saying it was my very first time getting tapas. I can totally dig it! We chose to try out Red Sky because I saw that they had coconut shrimp on their menu and I was craving some coconut shrimp. We ordered the following: bacon wrapped scallops, citrus baby back ribs, veggie goat cheese fritters, blackened tilapia tacos, and the coconut shrimp. The tacos, ribs and fritters were my FAVORITE. The scallops were good, but I’m not really a mustard fan. The coconut shrimp were OK, but not very coconut-y. The raspberry vinaigrette that accompanied the shrimp tasted somewhat watered down but the mango vinaigrette was pretty yum. Around 645ish, they had some live music(a guy on a guitar). It gave the place a nice jazzy feel. Smooth and relaxing. I’d definitely come here again.

So much fun singing along with the dualing pianos. I was a little disappointed in the food. We had the lobster and corn dip and that was very creamy and tasty. The buffalo calamari was not hot in temp, it was mushy and those things ruined the spicy taste of the buffalo sauce. The vegie fritters weren’t anything special. Not much flavor. Short ribs were good. It was a fun night because the entertainment was so good but the food was just so so and the cost of the little plates add up fast. BTW our waiter noticed that no one ate the calamari and asked me about it. He took it off the bill. Excellent wait staff.

I always enjoyed myself at Red Sky. Think the food is usually always on point but, due to the new year and me being on a 21 Day Salad Challenge and furthermore, I’m not eating MEAT. I choice to go because, I needed a Vibing High Energy spot to go to however, I didn’t realize that… there were that many healthy & un-fried items on the MENU. It was very hard for me to decide on what to eat this time. Due to my beginning of the year cleanse and hope to start off eating a bit better, while in my past visits… I’ve loved the Chicken Artichoke Dip; Spicy Chicken Eggrolls, Sausage Queso Dip, BBQ Chicken Pizza and Coconut Shrimp… all od that has meet and folks that don’t eat meat are limited to only a salad ONLY. It would be awesome if you can look into at least 5 items that are o. k for a vegetarian and possibly even a 1 vegan dishes to satisfy all palates. Thank you, from your favorite customer & Unilocaler.

My friend and I had dinner here a few weeks ago. Drinks were mediocre but for the price I guess they were okay. Food was good. I do not recommend the veggies fritters or lobster risotto, two thumbs down! The chocolate cake for dessert was the best thing I ate all night!

The chargrilled romaine heart with parmesan is my soul mate. I could eat it for every single meal and never get tired of it. The buffalo calamari is a close second! As far as the atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot for just about any occasion: date night, girls night, celebratory dinner, you name it. The lighting is comfortable, the staff is phenomenal, and the cocktails are on point. My only complaints would be that the dueling pianos can be so loud that even light conversation can seem impossible. However, they’re always very entertaining. Also we had some iffy mussels during one visit. Overall one of my favorite restaurants!

This place is awesome!!! We went on dueling piano night and it was, probably, the best time I’ve had the entire 10 years I’ve been in Atl. The food was great, the drinks were great, the service was great. If you want a downright good time for girls night out or a good 1st date ice breaker, this place would work perfectly! It’s a really interactive/group participation bar on dueling piano night and the ambiance is really sexy.

I have been here a few times and enjoy the atmosphere. It is more of a place to come and spend the evening than a place to just grab dinner. The pianists are usually very entertaining and the crowd has lots of energy. The tapas are great, and the servers have always been attentive to our needs. Be sure to make reservations if you plan on a night out and want a table in near the piano. If not, you can grab a high top table near the bar, which is also good option if you want to have some table conversation.

There was a bourbon pairing listed on their website, which turned out to be a typo. We simply asked about it and the wait staff felt so bad that they gave us a free bourbon tasting anyway. :) Super friendly staff, great drinks and great food.

What a blast! We ventured outside the perimeter to this unremarkable strip mall location and had a fantastic night. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The dueling pianos and everyone singing along was great. I had wanted to karaōke that night and this was better since everyone sang not just one at a time. The food is a little bit glorified bar food but with an edge over most bars. It’s not that the food was cheap or lacked flavor, it’s just the types of food were typical.(Example: fried chicken egg rolls, lobster Mac and cheese). But the examples just mentioned were great and a bit addictive. In fact I highly recommend those two items. The asparagus with Parmesan and balsamic were surprisingly good. If you are outside the perimeter, this place should be a semi regular haunt. If inside the perimeter, it’s worth an occasional trip to the burbs.

Good tapas bar and Friday and Saturday the piano bar is fun too. Food is good. We have been here 5 times now and sometimes it is a little better than others. We usually order some of the same things, like the tacos, chicken artichoke dip, and chicken egg rolls, and then whatever else sounds good that night! Great place and great atmosphere. Make a reservation if it is Friday or Saturday!!!

Went to this Bar/Restaurant on the recommendation of 2 of my high school friends that did not currently know the other 1 was recommending this place @ the same time when I sent out a PM on FB for suggestions on a good & reasonable place 2 eat dinner after a long day @ a Nursing conference where I was bringing a Nurse Manager & several co-workers as well as meeting friends o haven’t seen in 30 years! Arrived @ 6pm on a Mon night & had made a reservation for 10 plus since we were such a large party. Would recommend a Rez. If u are going on a weekend or have a large party. Started out w/Sangria(the house special drink deal on Mon)! The Sangria was fresh fruity & hit the spot. We shared the orders of tapas & ordered the fried specialty cheese, bruschetta, fried green tomatoes & lobster/seafood mac & cheese. All of the food was FANTASTIC! Not a bad dish among the bunch! The fried cheese was crunchy & creamy. The bruschetta was crisp & delicious. The fried green tomatoes were fresh & just the right amt of seasoning & breading(more of a cornmeal batter). The lobster/seafood mac & cheese was ocean fresh & the Best(my personal fave dish!) Highly recommend! U should check it out next time your in East Cobb/Marrietta area!

Cool vibe and a cool atmosphere. Tapas variety is always on point. Must get the buffalo calamari, you can’t go wrong with that. Like others have said, the lobster dip is unique and delicious. Sundays is half price bottles of wine, and that always good with tapas. Friendly staff that is always attentive. Closes early though, and I feel this place would do a lot better with more rotating specialty tapas. That being said, I haven’t been here in 2 months, so they might have switched things up a bit. Parking is not an issue as its located in a large shopping mall. Excellent scotch selection as well, Macallan 18FTW !!!

3 stars solely based on service. Our food was excellent as always so 5 stars there. The lobster and corn dip is what dreams are made of. Seriously. My boyfriend and I arrived after his parents for dinner and when we sat down we were brought waters. Never offered anything else, not told about any drink specials. My bf got a martini which was good but he never even glanced in my direction to ask if I wanted anything but water. I would have ordered a drink so, $ 10 less on the tab because you didn’t even inquire as to what I wanted to drink. If you want to just push free waster– fine by me I’ll just drink my free water. Meh. He was fine enough in other aspects but had zero personality. I’ve been coming here for years and part of the experience for me has always been a lively, fun staff and great food. We didn’t get that experience this time. I will certainly return as I love this place. But I’ll stick to the bar, especially when Madison is working, she rocks!

Came here for Happy Hour. I ordered the tilapia tacos, shrimp and grits, chicken artichoke dip, and bbq chicken pizza. Prices ranged from $ 6 – 8. The food was OK, nothing great. Everything just tasted like it was thrown together, not much love or thought put into the quality or taste. If it weren’t for the Happy hour prices and the scout mob coupon, I would not come back.

Several businesses meet here a couple of times a month for networking in East Cobb. The service is always fantastic and the food is pretty good. The menu is great for dieters and non-dieters alike — plenty of low carb and high carb options.

This review is for our brunch experience at Red Sky. Red Sky serves brunch every Sunday from 10:30am to 3:00pm. After having a great time at the Unilocal event here in April 2013, I looked forward to returning and trying their brunch menu because the restaurant serves its breakfast and brunch foods tapas-style(small plates). Red Sky is located in the heart of East Cobb in a long strip(«Market Plaza») it shares with other restaurants such as Mediterranean Grill and Fuji Hana Steak & Sushi. This is one of the more popular, unique, and original restaurants in the neighborhood. It’s more or less American tapas(e.g. Chicken Artichoke Dip, Chipotle BBQ Chicken Pizza, Coconut Shrimp, Citrus Baby Back Ribs, etc.). The brunch menu looked promising with items such as Buffalo Chicken & Waffles, Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes, and Biscuit & Gravy(I love biscuits and gravy). Unfortunately, the food we ordered wasn’t so great. I tried the following: * Bacon, Eggs, and Cheese — Iberico cheese, scrambled eggs, polenta, applewood-smoked bacon. * Green Eggs & Ham — cilantro pesto, scrambled eggs, prosciutto ham. * Plantains Foster Waffle — Belgian-style waffle topped with coconut-fried plantains in «secret» sauce. * Deep-Fried French Toast — classic French toast deep-fried and topped with chocolate sauce. * Quiche of the Day served with grilled asparagus * Sweet Potato Fries The portion sizes on Red Sky’s tapas are generous. At brunch, I think about two plates can easily fill one person up. If ordering multiple plates, start with two per person and work your way up if you’re still hungry. Generally, I found the plates to be mediocre or underwhelming, both in taste and presentation. The most disappointing item was the Green Eggs & Ham. I normally finish everything or take leftovers home, but neither was the case for this dish. The eggs seemed pretty ordinary and the cilantro pesto that was placed on top did not look nor taste terribly appetizing. The base of prosciutto seemed excessively salty(I know prosciutto is supposed to be salty, but not that salty). The quality of ingredients just seemed lacking. This was also the case with the Bacon, Eggs, and Cheese, which also seemed like a pretty standard, ordinary dish. It wasn’t bad, but there didn’t seem to be anything special or memorable about it. Just another oily breakfast plate. Of course, the applewood-smoked bacon was delicious. I did enjoy the Plantains Foster Waffle, a nice play on the Bananas Foster(now that’s the type of creative, defining characteristic I like). I liked the warm, crisp, thick Belgian waffle and the sweet, dense plantains. This was probably my favorite item. The Deep-Fried French Toast was okay. Another sweet dish, the inside of the French toast seemed a little too thin and eggy, its consistency much like a light custard. I’m not sure if that was by design or if the toast was undercooked. Both the Plantains Foster Waffle and the Deep-Fried French Toast were served with a side of whipped cream. The Quiche of the Day was cold and hard. It was a meat-filled quiche, I believe beef. The flavor wasn’t terrible, but like some of the other dishes, it didn’t do anything for me. The quiche came with a marinara-like dipping sauce on the side. The Sweet Potato Fries weren’t bad. They were run of the mill. Crispy, oily, and came with a ramekin of ketchup. The food at Red Sky is reasonably priced. At brunch, most small plates are only $ 3.50 to $ 7.00 each. At dinner, they’re mainly in the $ 6.00 to $ 10.00 range. Service was fine. Co-owner Terry Kirby was very nice and checked on our table. This is one of those cliché«I really wanted to like this place, but…» reviews. After enjoying the food at the Unilocal event, I was simply disappointed with our brunch here. I think Unilocal’s two-star«Meh. I’ve experienced better.» rating is accurate in this instance. Perhaps it was an off day or we just ordered the wrong things. Having attended an event here, I can say that the space is great for groups and hosting social events. There’s a covered patio(with heat lamps) and plenty of space inside which includes a wraparound bar and different, sectioned-off dining areas. One of the highlights is the stage where there is live music Wednesday through Saturday including dueling pianos on Friday and Saturday nights.

It is one of my best friends Birthday, after she did a ton of research she came up with this place. Never heard of it, so I was pleased to try something new. Upon arrival, it wasnt as packed(530pm on a Saturday). Proceeded to get seated. Ordered some drinks, which were awesome by the way. Menu is small, and very specific, which makes it very easy to pick and order. Ordered the Lobster Risotto, and the Bruschetta, which were amazing. Sort of spicy, but I like spicy things, so pleasantly surprised. It is a Tapas Bar, so portions will be smaller. Me and the wife will try it again on another night, but get there earlier if you are planning on checking out the Dwelling Piano! Heard it was amazing, but gets packed quiiick.

How have I not done a review of Red Sky Tapas and Bar(Dueling Pianos, especially)? I just moved to East Cobb, but before that my husband and I would meet friends out for drinks at Stem, a nice meal at Seed, and raunchy entertainment at Red Sky. It is so worth the drive from Decatur to East Cobb!!! Note: I have never been here for a meal, just the show. If you want a table, you need to reserve a table. We typically come with a large party(of about 6 — 8, sometimes 10) so it’s crucial to call ahead… and by call ahead, I am thinking like a week and a half at minimum from when you are planning to come. Dueling Pianos are Friday and Saturday nights(I am not sure if they come on any other night, but now that I live up here, I will investigate). We get drinks, the service is ok. I mean, come on people, these servers are having to navigate their way through drunk adults singing and swaying to «Piano Man» or «Dont Stop Believing» or «All About that Bass»(yes, you read right), while carrying trays of drinks and trying not to spill anything. To top it off, everyone wants their check at the same time(gotta get home before the babysitters start charging more). So, I cut the servers a little slack. Bring a lot of lower bills for the piano guys. Remember reading«All About that Bass»??? Yeh, they will play whatever you want(within reason) for cash… I am not going to tell you anything else about them if you havent gone… but you should, just once. Anyway, you should totally go to the show just once…

My big sis took me here today to meet some of her friends. Apparently she found this place because they went to a Unilocal event here. We can to eat a late breakfast/brunch here. Its pretty cheap depending on what you get. Tapas are like $ 4 – 7 bucks, and meals are a little more. I childishly ordered off the kids menu because I went to sweet hut literally 1 hour before coming here so i was still full and not really hungry and because… well, it was the only thing that had a selection with everything I liked and was craving at the time and none of the«adults» regular selection looked that good to me(I have a childs eating palette lol). I got a childs option that had cheese grits, a yummy biscuit, and eggs(for only $ 4!!! Whattt!!!) and the surprising part was it was actually a pretty decent portion(about the size of two lean cuisines?) and it was yummy!!! Only problem was the waiter never came to check on us once(aka deprived of water!!!- pet peeve of mine, i hate when my beverage is left empty for more then 10 minutes). He only came when we flagged him down(maybe it was because our table wasn’t going to be a big $$ so I get waiters tend to give more attention to the tables that give them more $$ or more likely to tip more but it was hard to forgive him for this because there were only 2 – 3 other tables, none were more than a 4 top, and we were a 6 top! –_-). Was kind of sad also when he didnt know what the quiche of the day was either(maybe that was a red flag?) In short… bad service, but cheap and tasty good food.
