This organization is like a High School clique on steroids. 99% of the families that participate as «consumers» of the product are awesome, but unless you are a member of the «ruling class» (the Board of Directors), you are treated as a second class citizen. «Just pay up and shut up» is their motto.
The best coaches are too often passed over in favor of friends of the kings and queen. I found there were no qualified coaches remaining after the players are 10 years old. The good coaches will not tolerate rampant «Daddy ball» and are forced to move on to travel ball.
Smart parents who are not in the clique should video everything. The rulers will cover each others backsides and label parents that don’t kiss their rings as «trouble makers» to marginalize them.
After 14 or so seasons, about 7 years, we finally made our minds up to move on to travel ball, too. In the boards final act of arrogance, they thought they would ban me. But I have photos and videos that they can’t deny. Video everything for your own protection.
