Great craft beer selection. Actually found some of Wicked Weed’s recent sour additions to the GA beer circulation. Nice that they take pride in carrying such things, but still way, way too much footprint given over to swill beer that any supermarket is gonna stock. Guess it will take awhile before the market matures enough to leave that stuff behind. It is just fear of losing a sale that keeps it stocked.

I’ve been going here for a while since we moved across the street. Tonight my wife and I decided to stop in to grab some beer for the weekend. My wife needed to use the bathroom but since they didn’t have one she decided to just wait in the car. When I got to the checkout I was told I couldn’t buy anything without my wife’s ID. At that same moment my wife sent me a text saying that the cashier was trying to stop her from leaving the store and decided she needed an ID to LEAVE! She stormed out, visibly upset. All the while I’m still deciding which beer I want. I had to call my wife so she could come back inside and show them some ID and then the cashier didn’t even bother to ask for my ID. I tossed my license on the counter AFTER he swiped my card and I promptly told him we won’t be coming back. I suggest you avoid this place unless you want a shake down if you decide you want to leave without buying something!

This store’s marquee proclaims that it sells wine, beer, liquor, and cigars at this Marietta location. I rate Sherlock’s at 4 stars because of the expertise of «Bob»(an older gentleman with eyeglasses). My friends have become fans of Bob and his knowledge. I have found Bob to be a wealth of information about wines when I am looking for inexpensive to expensive out-of-the-ordinary wines and port. I came in looking for a Cabernet sauvignon by my favorite Napa Valley winery, Caymus. Sherlock’s was sold out of the 2012 Caymus«40th Anniversary» Cabernet($ 59.99), and it is also sold out by the winery. Sherlock’s does have the 2009 Caymus«Special Selection» Napa Valley Cabernet(competitively priced at $ 129.99). Sherlock’s also stocks my favorite inexpensive Napa Valley sparkling wine, Domaine Chandon’s Chandon Blanc de Noirs($ 16.99). This sparkling wine goes well with foods ranging from sushi to grilled and spicy foods, and it’s my «go-to bubbly» for meals with family and friends that can be made memorable with a «Champagne.» Sherlock’s periodically sends out email alerts for wine and spirits specials. Go to their website, and send an email to their«contact» to sign up. Their emails will keep you advised of special buys, and special events.

Beware of new staff, no personality other than being rude! Time to find a new store to buy wine and I WAS a regular customer. The prices may be a little better, but it’s not worth putting up with the attitude!

Well it’s the only cheapest store with a good verity on my way from work! Staff are really helpful. Pretty good selections of wine and knowledgeable staff in each corner of store to help you shop satisfy. I’m not beer drinker but they have really reasonable prices for each brand than other store around the neighborhood. My shopping basket alway contains of vodka and wine… So don’t know anything about cigar section or beer.:( Unfortunately, they don’t have any wine tasting gathering which make me consider that, not the best store ever!:))) The price is good and helpful staff keeps me to give that 4 stars.

I’m going to rate this one down to three stars but only because the staff is hit or miss. The selection of beer, wine, and liquor is actually pretty good. The prices are probably the best in the neighborhood. The only issue I have is some staff members would sooner dig your grave than to talk to you and then there are some that are the nicest people in the world. Some of them have no clue where things are in the store and others are extremely educated in their products. I’m a $ 90 bottle of bourbon kind of guy but if I wan’t to go out on a limb on something I haven’t tried I would want a more evenly tempered staff. One guy had me happily buy two bottles of bourbon for $ 200.00 one day and another day a different guy at the cash register didn’t even glance a smile my way as I cheerfully tried to talk to him. He seriously only said what he needed to say. «is that debt or credit?».

I take my cigars seriously and I tend to try to test the people who work here when I come in. I am not a helpless little shopper that needs help when purchasing a «mans cigar» step aside, I’ll teach you a few things. Their cigar room makes me weak in the knees. Hemingway, curly head madura, double château and belicoso – Arturo Fuentes, how I love thee! I have tried other brands but I always go back to the torpedos. The staff has great suggestions, is very informative and even entertaining! They even offer to give me the empty boxes, which I collect. Sherlocks takes their cigars seriously. Who needs Spa Sydell? I come in almost every weekend just to take slow breaths in the humidor. Yum!

Very helpful and friendly staff. They have a large selection(even my favorite Belgian beer, Lindeman’s Kriek Lambic) for a very good price(just as good as Total Wine).

Great selection of craft beers, especially a lot from Colorado, which I found strange. I found a few I hadn’t tried before which was an unexpected surprise. A good local stop if your in the area.

This location of Sherlock’s gets a five star rating for customer service and always being to «go to» liquor store for hard to find liquors and wine. I read an article about an Asian spirit called Ty Ku that was filled with superfruits and antioxidants. The article named so many yummy drinks and talked about how low cal this liquor was I couldn’t wait to try it(who doesn’t want to have a little cocktail and be healthy at the same time!). After visiting four liquor stores and not one manager or store operator had even heard of Ty Ku I was discouraged. My last attempt was Sherlock’s. I called Sherlock’s from my cell as I was leaving another liquor store and asked the person that answered the phone if they had it. She knew exactly what I was talking about and said they had it in stock. When I got there the clerk assisted me to the shelf and also helped me with the brands of other spirits to go with it. I was super impressed. I highly recommend East Cobb Sherlock’s(and Ty Ku too!!)

Very nice selection and always willing to go the extra mile offering to special order things they don’t have or help carry out when you have a handfull of goodies. Great wine and beer selection, including a good mix of high gravity and Belgiums.

My go to place. prices are pretty good comparable to other stores, friendly cashiers, good selection of beer, wine, Sake, and other goodies– and even a cigar room(I have no idea how good they are but they do sell them!). They also have a good selection of those tiny liquors to go, and gift sets for the lush in your life.

Sherlock’s has been in business for as long as I can remember. Strange to think of a liquor store as a landmark even during childhood, but being on the corner of Roswell and Robinson Rd puts it right at the nexus of a major intersection on the way to my parents’ house, so it’s the first place I think of when I think of liquor stores. As for stock, it has pretty much everything you could want. Imported and domestic beers(with more to choose from than a lot of places I’ve been to), every kind of liquor you can think of, and a generally friendly and knowledgable staff who are glad to point you to their favorites. Sherlock’s is best known for its selection of wine– boasting a colleciton that takes up half of the store. Even not being a big sophisticate of wine, it’s obvious that this place has more than the average venue, and like other good stores, they offer short rated descriptions of lesser known brands you might enjoy. They also have a humidor with a decent selection of cigars.
